  1. Fight seemed rigged and I wanted Connor to win but not like that without a fight. Seemed pre-planned.

Aldo was overagressive and paid for it.

not really even over aggressive.  You could see the 1-2 punch he was going for but just simply got caught with one of those clean shots.

  6. Maybe Eagles could convince a team like the Jets that Murray would be an upgrade on Ivory and dump his contract for a 5th or 6th round pick. I don't doubt Murray wants out and if Chip were honest he regrets letting go MCCoy and Maclin both mainly because of money to overpay Murray and Maxwell. McCoy has beef with the Eagles and Desean is always has a huge chip on his shoulder. Eagles struggling covering #1 wrs all year.Watkins,Fitzgerald and Floyd, plus motivated Desean and Beckham Jr that is a ton of speed and size Maxwell and a few rookie Eric Rowe have to play man coverage against those guys and will decide these last 4 games if Eagle dbs can contain elite size or elite speed.
  7. In a blind squirrel can find a nut once in a while right? Offense still sucked ass all day. D was better but the Patriots handed that game they made so many self inflicted mistakes. Reminded me of last year's game vs the 49ers in Santa Clara. Offense couldn't do jack Jenkins pick six, blocked punt, and Sproles punt return td. Oh yeah they lost that game. Eagles still losing next two weeks though but maybe they keep it close with this confidence boost now. Oh yeah Demarco Murray finally got benched. I hope they trade him in the off-season. Chip deserves another year as Coach for sure GM though I'm 50/50. Should have been benched earlier for this... https://vine.co/v/izFptKqeDVu I'll take the W though....
  8. Does everyone realize the Canucks rank in the bottom of the league in terms of height, weight, and age of players?

    http://www.eliteprospects.com/teams_data.php?LeagueID=7&sort=wt

They are dead last in terms of weight. This why they can't play a "heavy game" they literally don't have the poundage to throw bodies around.

This is a very old team that is not good. They got faster and slightly younger from last year but they have not addressed the size issues.

There 2 "tough guys" are both under 200 pounds. The Canucks are the lightest team in the league and probably the softest too.

Hard to play a heavy physical game when you have a bunch of featherweights trying to throw their body around and make an impact.

Yes. This is nothing new. An issue for over a few years now.

    2. Odd.

      Odd.

As a person that doesn't really mind us being a little 'soft', this is mind-boggling.

  9. #1 example of a pro player stealing money.. https://vine.co/v/izFptKqeDVu

  10. That game could save GB's season and turn it around for them. Quality win. Some franchises just know how to lose no matter how talented the team Buffalo, Cleveland, Philly, and Detroit come to mind.
  11. Embrace the tank. Auston Matthews and Jacob Chychrun maybe for once the Canucks will get some luck and win the draft lottery?

Doubt it. Still would take a top 10 pick over 1 and done come playoff time or worse coming up just short.

Hamhuis-Weber worst top 4 d-pair in the league hands down.

Only Tanev and Edler are quality d on this team. This team should lose if not for the weak division to keep them in it till the trade deadline passes.

  12. With Tedford going back to college hopefully Bunono maintains a good relationship and Tedford can use his contacts down south to send some players the BC Lions way especially a talented RB.
  13. Murray-Lawrence would be the third string change of pace guy only when needed and help to mainly return kickoffs. Rainey would return kickoffs less and do primarily punts so he can be that change of pace and he gets used more on offense as the top backup since he will be comfortable with the team now. The American RB would have good weight and size so he can block and catch passes out of the backfield plus run the ball with enough power and decent speed. Probably need a back who is between 200-220 pounds ideally with speed in the 4.48 range and runs with power between the tackles but has enough speed to hit some big gains on the outside. Someone basically like Montreal's Tyrell Sutton or CJ Gable are ideal backs for BC to try to copy and find. They can block, run , and catch. Harris was a very good catcher. A good runner and an ok blocker most times but like I said he has lost a step and his YPC average the most important stat for a rb for his career is very poor save for one year where he averaged almost 6 yards a carry which is where he should be each year. Yeah he is Canadian but if he was American and it sounds like he wants a ton of money because he is Canadian and will be a 29 year old RB next year I think Lions should move on. He is a nice luxury to have but not impossible to replace and even upgrade on. Lot of talented rb's out there just have to pay attention and scout them in college all-star games nfl camps and CFL free agent camps in California, Florida, and Texas those 3 states alone produce tons of pro football talent each year. As for O'Connor he still has 1 or 2 years eligibility I believe since he is only 19. He for sure is CFL caliber maybe even good enough in a few years to get a look see from the NFL as an un-drafted free agent. Would love for the Lions to draft him when he is eligible in a few years. Too bad the CFL doesn't reward teams for carrying Canadian qb's since there is no ratio benefit. That is dumb and a rule that needs to change Canadian qb's need a shot they can't all convert to a different position and become good receivers like Brad Sinopoli did.
  14. Harris should be good as gone based on Buono being both the coach and GM and ripping for saying the Lions did not utilize him properly and he didn't feel like he was involved in their game plans especially this year. He is Canadian and a good back but slightly overrated imo. He has lost a step and it is getting up there in age 28 going on 29 I believe. I would let him go and bring in a younger American stud cut from the NFL or outta college who has both speed and power and pair him with Rainey and Murray Lawrence.
  15. Is Buono football's Lou Lamoriello? Jim Popp of the West? But seriously with Hufnagel stepping down for Dickenson will he have second thoughts if Dickenson has some growing pains as a rookie HC? Maybe he too is tempted to wear both hats again. Dickenson will probably be a better coach than Benevides though you never know he could falter and Hufnagel might have to come down after a season or two just like Wally did to Benevides and Popp always does in Montreal too.
  16. Bellichick trolling the Eagles. http://www.bleedinggreennation.com/2015/12/2/9836594/bill-belichick-trolling-philadelphia-eagles-comments-coach-head-patriots-chip-kelly Smoothies really are helping and health diet...
  17. I think he might succeed there. Could be like other coaches like Belichick and Caroll who failed with their first NFL team then took the lessons they learned and developed a winning program. I think Chip with the Titans running his system as the coach will make Mariota a special qb. Pro bowl level. As a GM it doesn't look too good. But Chip Kelly is still an above average NFL coach. If he wants to come back I say give him another year to fix his mistakes. Tell him he can have final say on personnel if he brings another experienced NFL personnel guy in to help him see things from a different point of view.
  18. First half was so so. But he made enough plays when it counted the most to get the W. Unless he faceplants the rest of the way. Clearly his team with Peyton on the brink of retirement.
  19. I don't know man.. Everything is up in the air. Do the players even want to play for Chip anymore? I wouldn't blame them. Using a raw rookie on Megatron instead of Maxwell who can't cover 1-on-1 going no huddle all game at the same pace and running the same vanilla plays each week when they are not working. Using Demarco on outside runs when he doesn't have the agility to get the outside or any speed or burst. Plus out of the shotgun when it is clear he runs best on inside and north-south runs under centre. I've already given up on the season. Just hoping for a good top 10 pick at minimum and wait to see how the biggest circus in the NFL unfolds. Will Chip the Coach hire a competent experienced GM who is not a Yes man? Or does he try to go the Titans to coach Mariota. I don't think he goes back to college he rather get another shot in the NFL with a legit qb who can run his system I think question will that be in Philly or does he start over in Tennessee.
  20. I actually noticed that when they replayed the td. The announcers didn't mention the refs missed the hands to the face by Evan Mathis the ex Eagle.
  21. Yeah doesn't surprise me Goddell probably made sure to tell Dean Blandino VP of NFL officiating to make his officials aware of that. Extra emphasis. Big time pissing contest going on it seems.
  22. Brock was pretty good showed some solid command of the offence made some nice touch throws has some Joe Flacco in him. Drove down got the td late to take the lead. I think Petyon should follow in what Kobe Bryant did and announce that this his last year and embrace his mentor ship role with the Oz.
  23. Yeah it's too bad it seems this year the injuries to big name players are overshadowing things and probably the reason why the majority of the league is mediocre right now. It's pretty wide open each team has their flaws and are all look beatable.
  24. That's lucky Jimmy Graham out for the year on a similar looking play. Lot of significant players injured so far this year and still 5 games and playoffs to go. Crazy Year. I think Patriots could rest their guys and still easily beat the Eagles next week. Why rush back Gronkowski, Amendola or anybody really who is even banged up a little?
  25. Him and Marshawn are pretty much done I think. Also bad news on Jimmy Graham he tore his patellar tendon in his knee just like Victor Cruz last year. He is likely to not be the same player when he comes back. There is a chance it could be career threatening for Graham and Cruz both being 29 going on 30.
