  1. Is Damien Harris not hurt or something?
  2. Just going off the article I saw. No clue who he is dating or if he still follows the Vikings at all. Green Bay is in the playoffs so obviously he is going to be a full on fudge packer.
  3. They keep adding wild card teams and more games. This is the first year with 7 teams from each conference in the dance. No more bye weeks for the top 2 seeds only the 1 seed like it should be. It is great for sports gambling becoming legal and normalized now. Can put together some good parlays on the money line or point spread, or if you are feeling frisky, prop bets and live in game betting adds some sizzle to the more boring low scoring playoff matchups. Tomorrow is a single day triple header next! Not a fan of the Monday night football one off actually. Could have put this Raiders game in the morning and had the Rams as the late game tonight with Bills and Patriots in between. The weekend should be for playoff football. Other sports can play their post season on week days with most people at work. I think another wild card team added would be great as well. NBA taking a page from the MLB with a "wildcard" of their own if you will with the play in games for the last seeds. With 16 teams making the playoffs in total it doesn't get more SUPER wildcard than that. 8 potential playoff games on one weekend. It's only a matter if when not if they expand the playoff format to give 2 extra teams a chance to get into a playoff game.
  4. Upon further review an article from 3 years ago says he is both a Packers and Vikings fan now thanks to this brother marrying a Minnesota cheerleader and he himself dated a Vikings cheerleader too.. Oh boy that is tough... Somebody set this man straight!
  5. Josh Jacobs is an underated power back. Runs with great effort and consistently trys to fall forward and break tackles to try to maximize each touch he gets. Wonder how he would look running behind a better run blocking OL.

@Rubik What? You don't like the colors or the logo?

You a stick in the rink blue and green or Johnny Canuck primary logo guy or something?

    3. Rubik

      Rubik

reminds me of those "germany" calgary unis

i'm perfectly fine with the current home and away unis, but yeah, I kinda prefer the classic stick-in-rink for an alternate.

that looks pretty ugly my guy

  7. The guy in New Jersey us intriguing. Speedy bigger body with some skill to his game. Power forward type Miles Wood. What does it take to acquire him though and fir his contract demands? He could be the similar piece in Vancouver that Michael Ferland was supposed to be.
  8. Id be willing to give J Bone another shot he is a better fit in Boudreau's system where he encourages every d man to jump up and join the rush. At the very least if the d could quick up and head man the puck up ice to the forwards if they can't make a good stretch pass or skate it themselves would be an improvement. If everyone is healthy at some point next month.. I would like them to try Rathbone and Hamonic on the third pair together. OEL-Myers Hughes-Schenn Rathbone-Hamonic
  9. Some weak answers here. Cowboys? Remember Prust being a big Cowboys fan and some guys went with him to a game in big D even. But c'mon it's the Cowboys. Brock the contrainian Packers fan growing up in Minnesota?
  10. I feel his frame was never talked about much because as a rookie his wrist shot and slapper were surprising goalies. Also he was an above average skater speed wise as a rookie once he got going despite having somewhat awkward skating mechanics and Bambi like movements. You don't see those off the rush chances anymore where he gets his shot off on the wing. His frame and weight is not discussed enough. He obviously needs to add more strength to improve his skating and shot. It would also greatly aid his ability to win faceoffs and hold his own in puck battles while being smart with his stick. Is it a mental issue or physical issue? Does he have a digestive disorder like Gaudette that makes it difficult to gain weight and maintain strength over the course of a season? Is he just a more picky eater? It's definitely some combo of mental and physical but nobody really knows unless they know his personal and family situation to comment with any merit.
  11. Day 1 of self isolating feel normal so far. Trying to eat hot or warm food and sipping hot lemon water.

Thank goodness for the internet and modern technology. Stay healthy and stay vigilant everyone.

  12. I am in Vancouver. Currently asymptomatic but I was a direct close contact or a coworker I worked an entire shift in the same proximity who has Covid 19 symptoms such as a sore throat. Not sure if the coworker who reported the symptoms has gotten tested or is planning to get tested. I believe I will not be privy to that information for privacy concerns regardless. I was told I simply need to isolate at home from others including household members for 5 days with no symptoms and then it's back to work on Monday morning like I was just on a 1 week staycation...
  13. How long had you been self isolating? Curious what your experience is and any tips to share for someone like me told to isolate. Should I bother to attempt to find a test? Which one should I take. Thanks!
  14. Thanks! Interesting timing though the Canucks are playing the Caps in D.C. at the same damn start time early Sunday morning. Hopefully can watch that one on the big tv even if it's all by myself. Cold, dark, windy, and rainy perfect self isolation weather so can't complain there. Won't miss being outside too much over the next few days here if that keeps up...
  15. Not currently an option for me unfortunately in my job since I work in a public facing role. My employer has said "they will try to see if we can procure KN95 standard masks for those who can't work remotely". At this time we have limits on how many people can get lunch or are allowed in the break room.
  16. According to the CDC website you can still spread it even without symptoms 2-14 days from exposure. I doubt my employer is being fully honest and transparent as asking me to isolate as well as the co worker with symptoms before a Covid test result is confirmed positive leaves the onus on us to figure to get tested or not. What I don't know is if that other person had CoVid for sure and they probably don't want to share to cause alarm. I am treating it like getting exposed so I want to get a test done for peace of mind before I come out of my bedroom and go downstairs to the family room. Will be watching the Canucks game tomorrow on my tablet looks like for now.
  17. Thank you. Was also hoping if anyone had any first hand or even anecdotal experience dealing with either having or knowing someone with a potential Covid exposure and how they handled the situation. Any positive or negatives or just things to know that they learned about the experience could help others as well.
  18. I have not gotten tested yet as I was just informed last evening. My employer has told me that my coworker who I was exposed to had not had a chance to get tested yet either. I was hoping they would share more information about how to handle this process. All I have been told is to monitor myself and don't go outside for 5 days and then come back to work on Monday like normal nothing about getting tested or how to self isolate or dos and donts about who I should let know.
  19. She also still says you don't need a KN95 equivalent mask unless in high risk settings. I call b.s. her Fauci etc the powers that be don't want people panic buying and hoarding the high quality masks that actually filter out the particles in the air vs the other cloth masks which are about as useful as a face diaper or those people who wear those clunky face shields despite the fact this is an airborne virus. So basically they are giving up and not caring anymore. Great leadership.
  20. I dont know if this thread is sufficient or perhaps I will start another one as well dealing specifically with what to do if you are identified as a close contact and being potentially exposed as well as how to let others you share a household with including the unvaccinated/high risk immune compromised. How to self isolate when should you get tested etc. To get to the meat of the matter. I got a call from my employer saying that I am a close contact and potentially exposed to a co worker who reported developing Covid 19 symptoms overnight. I share a household with an elderly family member part of the identified high risk group. I am fully double vaccinated and sanitize as best I can through out the day and wear a mask except when showering, sleeping or eating or going to the bathroom. I have made sure not to have physical contact outside my immediate household for the last 2 years and I have been making only essential trips outdoors for groceries and gas. I have not traveled, have not had any friends or relatives over to my house. I have canceled and pushed back any non urgent appointments. My point is despite my uttermost best efforts to hear this news is devastating.. I don't know where to go from here right now.. I feel angry and stupid.
  21. 49ers have a good defence and they run the ball with E. Mitchell and Deebo Samuel is the most versatile weapon in the entire NFL right now. He can catch passes, take handoffs, throw passes and even be used to return a punt or kickoff to change momentum and field position. If Garrapolo plays like he did late vs the Rams the 49ers could pull the huge upset. They need to out physical Dallas though. Shut down the Cowboys run game and make them one dimensional so Bosa and the d can get after Dak.
  22. Apparently Broncos interviewing Dan Quinn for head coach. Yikes! Don't see him being an upgrade at all... I think the Broncos need an offensive minded head coach or at the very least a coach players want to play for like Doug Pederson or Brian Flores. They desperately need a better qb to compete with the high flying offensive firepower in the AFC West. Maybe make a move for Jimmy G? The draft doesn't have many inspiring options this year. They need a more proven vet starter. So it's either make a trade or free agent overpays. He is a good sized back with some surprising burst! Could be a nice 1-2 punch next year with Chris Carson a littler thunder and lightning action if you will! Injuries are the issue for him and overall consistency but the peak performance potential is impressive. I'd love to see what a guy like Penny could do running behind the Eagles OL and #1 ranked rushing attack... Please retire Big Ben and get a proper qb and better OC with a better offensive line. So much wasted talent in Pitt with Diontae Johnson, Claypool, Najee Harris and even JuJu still. That offence is going to be painful to watch to try to keep up with the Chiefs. Yes there only hope to beat the Bucs is to keep Brady on the sidelines as long as possible. Sanders looking like he might be able to go possibly and Howard as well which would be a huge boost to have their top 2 RBs healthy enough to make some plays. Fournette is back for the Bucs too though. He is a physical runner very rough to tackle. We saw last year he becomes "Playoff Lenny". Eagles need an under the radar guy to really step up and have a good game to have a shot and keep it interesting. With all the attention coming on the run game, Devonta Smith and Dallas Goedert in the pass game, I feel like Quez Watkins could make some plays.
  23. I think you can make a case that the Packers, Cowboys or Rams could all be decent matchups for the Eagles. Stafford is throwing multiple picks a game and the Rams are winning in spite of him right now. Prescott and the Cowboys red hot offence has slowed down a little of late. Plus being a division opponent the Eagles should know them very well to have a gameplan for. Despite the Pack looking like the cream of the NFC they are vulnerable to a strong and committed running game. I would like to see Minshew and rest Hurts because they need his legs for the playoffs as well as hope Jordan Howard recovers a bit but he has been not as good playing through injury. Maybe Miles Sanders can come back as well in time to have a limited role. Basically the run game is all on Hurts' shoulders or legs if you will and then mighty mite Boston Scott.
  24. Super super Max Max!! Too bad he soured on Netflix and not wanting to do any interviews with them because of the the over dramatic series direction of "Drive to survive" that created tension for stories...
