Man.....two starting safety's out (Hyde & Poyer)....two of your linebackers either out, or questionable (Milano & Edmunds)....rush end out (Rousseau) and starting QB nursing an elbow injury on his throwing hand....

Meanwhile, the 7-1 Vikings are relatively healthy.....

This is what I meant when I said that as a Bills fan, no matter how well things might be going.....you're always waiting for the other shoe to drop....<_<

Vikings look good they added Tj Hockenson from the Lions top 10 TE and Cousins is not playing bad.

Then you'd have Petey wanting out, Quinn wanting out, etc.

Bad take.  You'd be throwing them into the fire and, for Petey, he's really finding his game in a big way but put all the pressure on him and it could mess with that. Let him quietly go about his business without disruption, which he doesn't seem to like. This team team needs stability and to find their game, not have it all reset from square one.

Rutherford's words were to fire the team up more than tear it down in my view. At least for now.

If they want out so be it. Jannik Hansen is the voice of reason he speaks the truth they need a rebuild. Full stop. If they can sell them to be patient for another 4 or 5 years and then be on a contending playoff team they could stay.

ie I'll take the job but, ahem.. when can I fire the 35-15-10 coach?

Exactly that weasel Mike Yeo was handpicked by Allvin with Rutherford's support. Bruce is the fall guy. They never wanted him.

This is what should happen, but will our owner allow it?

Maybe his perspective changes if his dad let's go and he stops trying to drag this awful roster to the playoffs?

Don't expect any major moves unless papa Aqua finally kicks the bucket.

While I agree with this direction. Nobody will be doing anything unless this guy says so. Axed Gillis for trying to do it in 2013-2014. Trevor left the team July 25th 2018 because this guy said no to a proper rebuild. The buck stops with the mandate of ownership. As we have seen, players, coaches,GM’s and presidents in the last 18 years have come and gone yet the direction of the team has mostly remained.

You could say that the one time we traded assets for futures was the 2017 trade deadline when we traded Burrows and Hanson for Goldy,Dalhen and a 4th. Other then that, it’s always been “make the playoffs” and never get draft picks because in his eyes (my opinion on this) draft picks don’t sell bums in seats, players do. Which is one of the reasons why management has traded more draft capital then acquiring it. Because that’s what rebuilding teams do, not us not the Canucks.

Until he changes his tune and swallow his impatience and pride we will see more of the same with whoever is POHO,GM,coach or roster on this team. And the puppet master will be in the shadows pulling the strings.

The owner is the problem 100 percent they need Ryan Reynolds more than the Senators...

I don't think this is accurate. It's not that there were no avenues to improve the D, they made decisions that directly impacted their ability to address the defense. Guys were available. Options were there. They chose different paths.

The rumoured Chytil, Lundkvist and 1st for Miller could have added a young RHD, They prioritized extending Miller instead.

They could have cleared cap with that ^^ move (or moving/not extending Boeser, or Garland, or not signing Mik) and ANY of those things would have freed the cap space to acquire Marino for Rathbone (sitting in the press box) +.

They actively chose this route. Here's hoping they course correct.

The Canucks are doomed they are stuck with JT Miller and his contract.

The best thing would be for the team to be as awful as they have been and having both Miller and Horvat wanting out.

Trade both and start the scohed Earth fire sale rebuild.

Or keep both Horvat and Miller on long term deals and be mid forever not good enough to make a dent and make the playoffs and not bad enough to get a true top 5 pick difference maker.

Butler not feeling 100% too...curious to see what's up with him.

The team gutted out a win. They wanted it more, you could see that. Home crowd really makes a difference too.

Was listening to some post game on 730 in the car and David Menard (I think it was him) was saying he got emotional when they came out on the field and everyone was waving towels. He said he hadn't experienced an atmosphere like that and he really took it all in. Very cool.

He got destroyed on the play that he fumbled. Looked like he tweaked hi knee. I was amazed that he played through it and ran so well.

Heard his post game interview with Moj.

He seems okay and he should be ready to rack up some big yardage against the Blue Bumblers.

Yeah I don't like the idea of Butler playing at only 70 percent with an injury vs the two time champs in cold Winterpeg.

You need another back who is fresh ready to go. May be a good time to incorporate a guy the Bombers won't have any CFL film on like Brian Hill. Edit oops the Lions released him from the practice squad back in late September.

Ex NFL guys don't seem to last long in the CFL whether it is because teams are not patient enough or their entitlement as ex NFLers?

If the Lions are smart they will continue to keep balanced and run the ball to protect Rourke. Also a second back would keep Butler fresh and mitigate his effectiveness through injury.

Just look at Hollins guys who haven't played and are dropped into a game can make a big difference they have the juice and the fresh legs.

Sadly true we miss the playoffs again maybe if fans stop going to games owners will think about rebuild.

Thats impossible the loser true blue homer eternal optimist "hardcore fans" will keep going as will the casuals because there is not much else to do and it's a place to be seen and socialize still.

Its crazy how many people are still watching all the games spending time, money, and valuable energy on this team.

At this point they should not be taken at face value or serious. Treat the Canucks organization for what it is a mildly entertaining soap opera on some rare nights and absolutely snooze inducing and unwatchable for thr majority of the time.

This team flat out sucks ass. They can change players but they can't change this lower mentality culture that they have allowed to seep in since 2012.

    Can you say Aquilini?

Our owner has set the direction for his club since he bought it.  He refuses to rebuild.

It's his father's dream the Auqa Fam Patririarch wants to see a cup before he kicks the bucket.

Maybe if enough people spew vitriol at Aquilini with the bad press he and team have gotten since the start of the season they can force him to sell the team or at the very least reduce his stake and input like the Washington Commanders.

Getting hard to tell the difference between the Nucks and Raiders these days.

At the very least there is no draft lottery. Raiders running an excellent stealth tank right now.

  9. Whoever is pushing down Rathbone playing until this team is confirmed as frauds after American Thanksgiving is only prolonging the inevitable.

Sure Dermott is supposed to be back soon, but the article makes a great point. What happened to treating your own draft and develop prospects better?

This garbage team is going nowhere fast. At the very least if they tank it helps for next year and play all the young guys so that they have more experience for guys like Podkolzin and Rathbone to show what they can do.

The Canucks are clinging onto hope that Demko finds his a game sooner than later before the season is lost.

Until then Hogz,Podz, and especially J.Bone will continue to get shafted.

Demko has single-handedly exposed the Canucks mirage and unstainable reliance on top 10 goaltending play over an 82 game season.

The forward grouos perceived depth has been exposed and the defensive zone coverage and breakdowns have been ghastly.

This is an organization and a team without a clear vision trying the same crap. Not admitting they need to make major moves and shakeup this core instead of playing around the peripherals.

Another 5 months of bullshit to endure before their focus os forced to shift begrudgingly to thr draft lottery.
