  1. Come join this all inclusive NFL pool fun for all skill levels.

  2. That's totally cool work/family/life etc. We all have to prioritize our daily hours.
  3. Vettel was a good driver in a great car but the past 3 years his form had really deteriorated being at Ferrari with all the pressure and attention and screw ups. It is very clear he was more comfortable in a certain type of car with a stable rare that was a fit for his unique driving style. In his prime he was a top 10 driver but imo Fernando Alonso is the better pure racer with his ability to get the most out of any car that he has been put in.
  4. Very excited to also see Oscar Piastri at McLaren next year. He looks like a proper young talent who should not take very long to start to help push Norris. Also would love to see the dynamic at Alpine if Gasly were to become teammates with frenemy Ocon next year as well. Netflix would love that result... Quite a few options at Williams with Mick Schumacher being released from his contract with Ferrari. Also Nyck DeVries and Logan Sargeant chomping at the bit for an opportunity at an F1 seat. There is American Colton Herta from Indy Car who may yet factor in if he is deemed eligible to drive in Formula 1 without the requisite super license points. Also what happens to Ricciardo? He is looking at a sabbatical year out of Formula 1 unless he is going to get another chance back with Alpine.
  5. I think it's worth it if he takes a shot and gets a full off-season to learn an NFL playbook and then come in and compete. I believe he could get a decent chunk guaranteed as a signing bonus. Maybe even close to fully guaranteed if there are more team's interested than expected. His age and tools mobility, leadership and big arm and accuracy are appealing provided he can pass the strict NFL medicals. He always has the CFL as a backup plan he is still young enough to come back to the CFL in 2 years and be in the MOP frontrunner discussion.
  6. The only cup the Canucks will be sniffing is Trevor Lindens used unwashed 1994 game 7 cup unless they find a way to upgrade that terrible d core.
  7. I think he would have had some major interest from teams like Seahawks and Eagles who are quite familiar with having a slightly undersized but mobile QB. He might still depending on how his recovery goes. He is good enough to be a #3 QB on most NFL teams and at worst would be anintriguing practice squad edition and potentially make more money still than as a CFL starter. His arm strength has looked NFL caliber and he is certainly a better talent than Chris Streveler who has played in regular season NFL games and been on the main roster of teams after leading Winnipeg to a Grey Cup.
  8. The NFL season is here weekly entertainment for us all the way through Christmas! Let's have some fun! The rules are simple and anyone is free to join this pool!!! You pick 1 NFL team you think will win at the beginning of each week. Since Thursday night football is the start of the week get your picks in for the week before it gets going on the Thursday night kickoff! The only catch is once you pick an NFL team to win you cannot chose them again the rest of competition. Sound good? Confirm your weekly participation and let's go!!!
  9. Would love to a Canadian qb become an NFL starter. At the very least have the CFL be a haven for Canadian qbs to develop.
  10. Interesting debate who are top 10 drivers in Formula 1 right now when we take away machinery? 1. Max Verstappen 2. Fernando Alonso 3. Lewis Hamilton 4. Charles Leclerc 5. George Russel 6. Lando Norris 7. Carlos Sainz 8. Sergio Perez 9. Esteban Ocon 10. Pierre Gasly @Sharpshooter
  11. He almost took out Sainz on the opening lap like he did when he crashed with Alonso last week. Alonso was right Hamilton is a front runner. He needs to start up the grid he is not used to fighting with the mid field. Fernando Alonso is still a fantastic driver put him in the second RedBull and he would be much closer to Verstappen than Perez can get.
  12. As I feared the Mercedes have indeed caught up to Ferrari and are no longer behind in performance at most tracks. Ferrari has a terrible pit crew/strategy blunder every race weekend. The car they have has less top speed and worse in tyre management than when it comes to RedBull or Mercedes. There is a chance we have a 3 team fight from the beginning next season if Ferrari can finally run an average race strategy and pit stops wise and stop self sabotaging both their drivers. McLaren and Alpine look to be in a tight midfield fight. Let's see how much other teams can catch up next year after a year of better understanding the current cars and new regulations.
  13. Yeah I like that they are trying to stay afloat this year by going out and getting Adams and an actual kick returner who can help flip field position and take a burden off the offence. Unfortunately I can't remember the last truly exciting RB the Lions have had they just have not put much emphasis in being a great team running the ball the last decade. This comes down to team philosophy, play calling and quality of talent and coaching of the OL. Those exciting days of watching Joe Smith, Stefan Logan, and Martell Mallett are long gone. There was a period of time it seemed like almost every year the Lions had a new exciting CFL rookie. At some point they became complacent and stopped trying to upgrade when they had washed up Jamal Robertson and Andrew Harris pre roid bulk up.
  14. Adams has some mobility but really feel like the best Lions teams had a balanced run game when the weather got cold. The Lions OL is not great pass or run blocking wise but James Butler seems like an average back that they should be looking to upgrade on if it all possible. With recent NFL cuts and practice rosters being formed there should be some better options.
  15. His past aside he has kept his nose clean off the field and has been a beast power back coming in to spell Nick Chubb and keep the pressure on the opposing defence. Mid season trade to a contender makes a lot of sense. Maybe a final piece of a potential Eagles Super Bowl run like Jay Ajayi was @c00kies?
  16. Will Garland bounce back? With Tkachuk out of Cowtown Calgary takes a bit of a hit but getting Huberdeau back was pretty big along with Weegar.
  17. Jake looking pretty chunky lots of stress from the legal stuff I am sure but he wasn't exactly known as a guy who kept in good shape as a pro. Seemed like one of the guys more enamoured with what comes with being an NHL player in his hometown then actually understanding what it takes to be a pro day in and day out and not getting caught up in distractions in his free time away from the rink.
  18. I think Van can make it work with retained salary bury Dickinson, Poolman and Ferland on LTIR. Maybe ship Rathbone or Hoglander attached to Garland or Pearson in a separate move.
  19. My counter proposal To CBJ: C JT Miller To VAN: C Alexandre Texier, RHD Corson Ceulemans, 2023 1st round pick
  20. They may want Rathbone as a sweetener thrown in to take Myers off the Canucks cap as well.
