Probably due to us having taken a smaller puck mover in Rathbone already. The more the merrier, but we need some more sandpaper guys too.
-
I totally forgot about the Westerholms hahaha. I remember we drafted one and invited the other to camp and people were so excited.
-
Thicc juicy thighs aside, who wouldn't love to see a mean power forward wearing 44 <3

Older Swedish defensive defenseman who throws the body around. Makes sense given when we've lost on the back end, though it kinda sucks that he's twenty. Had already played games woth Frolunda in the SHL though.
-
Another solid pick. NCAA in the mid rounds is always a decent choice due to the extended development time and amount of gym work they get to do. For a smaller, offensively minded guy like Rathbone it's a great development route. Benning is having a nice little draft.

There's more examples of players that didn't correct their foot speed issues than ones that did. I'm just talking out of my back end obviously, but I'd venture to say that Horvat is the exception and not the rule.
-
Great pick.
-
Attitude speculations aside, I think his foot speed scares people. Being slow in the modern NHL is a death sentence, and not everyone can fix their skating in three summers like Horvat.
-
Most scouts seem to think almost everyone in this draft outside of the top 2 are 2-4 year projects, so yeah, it's kind of a wash.
-
I'm not trying to deflect, I just think you're bad at arguing your point.

Hey S7C, Just thought I'd tell you I really appreciate your correspondence and I REALLY like you as a poster. Hugs & Kisses, Mash.

You can't prove opinions bro, that's not how opinions work.
-
I will get excited about this once I see DeLorme's name on a "fired" headline.
-
Your "proof" completely ignores that not every player develops exactly the same though, so it's founded on entirely flawed logic. If we were having this discussion three years removed from the draft I would be willing to buy into what you're saying, but currently you are jumping the gun.
-
That's a silly point to make. I should add that I also wanted Nylander, but it doesn't matter at this point.
-
It doesn't though. Let's at least wait until Juolevi hits the NHL before you start making "good/bad pick" calls. One year out from the draft is always too early. I'm not saying either is going to be better, but saying he was the wrong pick based on Draft+1 is stupid.
-
Yeah dude, that's totally what I'm saying. It's not like we just drafted a high skill center or anything. You don't necessarily need all your centers to be two-way guys. Glass would have been a nice pick for sure, but Horvat is a very similar breed of player and very young. You don't need all four guys down the middle to be the same.
-
If Virtanen can learn to play his game a little slower and get in the right spots, it might be a good fit with him and Petterson going forward. I do worry that he's a little too straight line to play with someone so cerebral though.
-
You weren't. You were asking who would be our Glass. I answered your question.
-
Because you asked who would be our Glass. He already is that style of player, and he's only 22.
-
In English this post doesn't really do much, I suspect it's your attempt at a zinger but much unlike todays pick.....it uh, lacks.....well, it just lacks..

Just let him spill his heart out, he'll run out of energy soon and we can tuck him in for a nice nap.
