I'd rather him wait until the off-season to make moves UNLESS we get offered something worthwhile. Andddd other teams actually want what we're trading, that not always the case and the players we're after actually want to come here and despite what people say there's some who won't come and I wouldn't blame them a bit. I wouldn't either actually, from the owner to upper management, media, and a lot of fans (not all) are a joke at best... Who would want to come to that when there's better options elsewhere? As beautiful as b.c and Vancouver is, that's simply not enough, money isn't everything and not the only reason players want to play for teams...

Actually none of that matters unless a new seasoned GM will actually build a team with depth as well. So far, not so much, and people are expecting miracles from a 3/4 roster and not a lot of depth as it stands now simply isn't going to happen.

No I meant the overall team softness, my bad, should have explained it better. We need a tougher faster skilled team like the top teams have but with depth. Until we get that.. well you know.. I'm just happy Gonchar came with Tocc, to help out with overall D, so when we do make the trades we have better and simpler systems for new guys to easily fit into. I thought that would have already been addressed but it never happened. Whatever though, all one can do is hope it happens now.

We'd get run over, then they'd back up and take another run or 3 and it'd be all over except the crying towels passed around. That should have been fairly easy on B's part because TG is useless at the best of times, poisonous at the worst of times and PART of the problem now is old habits still in some minds and desperately needs to go. Hopefully Gonchar can help with that, I'm on the fence about Toc but I'm happy about Gonchar showing up.

J.R. = Hero to Zero in .20 secs... I knew this was going to happen, saw the horses hook up to the bandwagon. Then down the road a ways (and there's always this) the wheels came loose and everyone jumped as it hit the ditch! So much for the Canucks Savior, but until the proper changes on the ice happen, it doesn't really matter who is coaching, it's not going to work.

Wait until the shake up on the ice starts... Have a sneaking suspicion this team is going to look a lot different soon... Is that good or bad? Depends on the type of players coming in, I just hope we toughen up on both F and D, I noticed the Preds and their size opposed to us, if we met the in the playoffs.. omfg, we'd get destroyed! 2011 style is the team model we need.. with DEPTH this time but I hope JR doesn't piss it away for a depthless roster again for the upteenth time...

I disagree on normal circumstances, the better team can be playing back to back games, injuries etc but 9 times out of 10, the worst teams get slaughtered by elite teams. Side note! I just heard about horvat traded to Montreal for another center.. like wtf? We need D more and centers are a bit easier to get than a RHD, JR I f'n hate you! i HOPE it's not true!! :(. If we're not close then how did we beat some of the leagues top teams then with a lesser roster than now? Oh and most Canucks fans would have stopped reading? Benning has zero buddies in the media and at least Jimbo brought us further than a lot of us thought possible by anyone. No one can circumvent contract law, however it seems a lot of people think it's possible..

Are you even paying attention? You haven't read or watched the local media bullshi_ that's doing it and has been for awhile now but this week is ramped up so what do you expect? Half the CDC believes every bit of it, you can hardly blame it on those who were ok with Benning all you like but fact remains it's local media based, I.M. had that on his Twitter page for the last 2-3 weeks.. and all the other online hacks as well. A simple google of "canucks news" will prove my point.. it's been littered with JR and AL bashing and BB for Tochett.. Pay attention! Lmao!

Ok fair enough, yeah I can see that.. Anyway, ya know, in the last few seasons we've taken down some of the best teams in the league, with a lesser roster. As it stands now, we're not far away IF we can keep up what JR said when he wanted speed and toughness but with a D side to it, even if we trade some assets, we'll still have scoring which is not our issue as everyone knows. Especially being one of the smaller teams in the league. The team we need to model after was our 2011 which had enough of a balance and a quick physical forecheck, forced the turnovers that we give up instead. BUT that's a style of hockey that has to have depth, without it... Well close doesn't count for any more than it did back then. Until we get that again, we could make the playoffs but never get far.

I left the Boeser island, at least JT isn't completely useless at D after focusing on it on his game, Flow still can't get it together, we need a full roster of forwards who are good at D too.. reminds me of how NJ won it.. a tough fast roster who put their hardhats on every shift or as close as you could get..

I don't know if lack of team D is on the players or the coaching and systems.. some nights we're on it in flashes BUT then it fades to darkness.. it's like we revert back to T Green or something, I don't honestly know which but I do know one thing is we suck on playing a complicated D system instead of a simple quick one instead of hesitating looking for stretch passes and giving forecheckers time to come in and press for turnovers or force bad passes ending up in icing that keep it in our D zone.. this isn't new though, that's a Green system. We need to lose that system and keep forwards back until it's left the zone.. it's killing us..
