  1. Makes you think of money as nothing when your health is gone though... man if i had that kind of bling and was over 30 and still had my health to some degree, i'd retire in a heartbeat but i suppose winning and losing could be like a drug that gets you down or on top of the world...
  2. I don't have to as i don't know of anyone would turn down 16 mil for 2 seasons, and then have a chance to extend... Seriously you think someone would opt out of that Hef?
  3. Yeah that's right and that's why i wouldn't but i wouldn't pay someone that kind of money who can't stay healthy...
  4. At 8 mil a year? Any team with cap space would, like us for instance if we have it available and we do until petey signs...
  5. I was talking about the opposite, sign someone younger for 2 yrs at 8
  6. For 7.5-8 mil? Sure they would, especially if they want to be able to get an extension if the cap rises and ot probably will but even if not, 8 mil is a lot of bling..
  7. For a guy who is that banged up? Lmao! Players and their agents would love a guy like you for a GM... if you agree to the post of 7.5 - 8 mil why would you not go after someone around 25-27 yrs old and nowhere near banged up for 2 yrs?
  8. He should retire now while he can still physically function, his injury list is a mile and he's a millionaire 10 times over so he can spend a ton of family time as well instead of getting beat on for the next few years...
  9. He's worth 5 absolute tops and even that is too much at his point in his career
  10. We don't owe eagle anything, nor does he owe us but a player over 30 with the injury history he has had is not worth keeping unless it's for cheap... he's made a pile of money playing for us over the years and that makes us owe him???
  11. Yeah Brash was the toughest guy ever to put on a nux jersey and loved it when he laid a beating on marty...
  12. Then why has he been consistantly developing that way as Green and JB have said and the rest of us have seen on the ice? Should we fire management and hire you instead because you seem to be seeing something that everyone else isn't... his scoring is up, his defence is better, he's thinking better in pressure situations better than he ever did and it's noticable to everyone except you i guess... however Green still thinks JV has a higher ceiling yet but i guess he's wrong and your right?
  13. Oh? Big and fast is what gets you to the SC when it's balanced with skill.. When he's been put in tough situations by green he's steadily improved and if he can play with Bo, Ferland (traded for) with petey or trade him or keep him bottom six and a reasonable cap but if he goes ceiling of 20 goals as season on second line? Sure why not? Seems like it's a crime not to be an instant star in vancouver...
  14. And it WILL be an asset in the playoffs...
  15. Zaits for LE please? Absolute best scenario but absolutely is not going to happen..
  16. All we need him to be is stable on the ice and not a liability so when it comes to us needing someone who can throw most guys around like ragdolls, he's our guy and someone who actually clear a big body from the front of the net with the exception of schenn and if schenn gets injured and an opposing team puts their big boys out to crash the net and or park there, we have no answer.. Buffy and Loungo come to mind and we don't ever want that scenario again or it will be like every other year with a soft reg season team... that's getting old...
  17. Mostly agree too and if im jb and want a roster spot cleared out to make the best 4 rolling lines to win a cup with and depth who can step in without a hiccup when our normal rash of injuries hit but if not eriksson the bearcheese, as if we go to being a faster tougher more skilled team that plays hard forecheckin i thing he's too banged up and wouldn't stand up long before it gets worse, buying him out wouldn't be as bad financially as LE but giving other younger guys a shot is worth it no?
  18. Both of those would hurt.. rather gaud stays as he seems to be going the defensive side first then focus on offence like the Bo route.. i think they'd go for pearson if he keeps it up and stays but depends on how much cap they can spend too... i'd give them a first round to get them to take a 4th line player as by that time we'll have 2 first and 2nd round picks already in the fold to develop already and lose one the year after should be ok...
  19. I can hardly wait to see how Kielly turns out... i think benning stole one right there under the noses of other teams that missed him for whatever reason...
