ummm I drove a 5 ton freight truck around Vancouver for 25 years, they don't see you because they don't look, I even drove the truck with the headlights on during the day to been seen better, however, some still didn't see because they look (unless there's an accident) then everyone slows down to look..

I hate that their coming in after that many games in 4 days, I'd rather them come in fresh and get to see where we really are. I want a birthday present today with a win but it would be a tad empty under those circumstances. However I'd take it and not complain BUT if we blew them out 4-5-6-7 to 1 I could live with that!

well that's not the most of the general public, they want the flashy goal scorers but one dimensional players usually suck at team D and get beat on in the playoffs which we've seen especially with no pushback, and so we need the balance JB was looking for but depends what's available, and teams usually don't let big fast skilled players go without a hefty price tag.

I fully expect this team to screw it up royally.. the direction is going to be a butter soft team as usual, public demands it and it'll happen.

JB pulled off some good moves WHEN he started to get the hang of it but I did question TG instead of a experienced head coach.. that pissed me off a bit but he got the team playing in the playoff's which I guess was the something that did it. On top of that, the whole fan base wanted TG as rumoured to be good with younger players which we had our share of... -

well I think some of that play was "we better get the thumbs out of our asses and do something" (so far) but we saw some of the mistakes that shot us in the foot that have to be addressed and turned around. -

Yeah I see your points and I pointed out to someone else Bo and Brock need re-upping so if we screw up drafting that will really hurt.. the cap has everything to do with it. ELC's are going to be gold if the cap only has small movements like next year of a million, but at JT's salary of a first line player being that of a 2nd line player I think it's worth keeping. Now if the salary cap was going up as before covid.. it wouldn't be such a concern but it's going to take someone who is shewd to pull it off the way we sit into something that competes with the top 10 in the league.. -

I get what your saying but throwing away your best asset (that we can part with) when you don't really have to is unnecessary, I think we could come up with a better scenario to upgrade D than that. Even if it involves another 1st pick and whoever, to make it happen, picks are never anything but a calculated risk unless it's attached to someone named McDavid, Crosby etc. the rest are never a for sure thing so why not go for it if the right player is available? -

well Kane had a lot of experience being a spoiled bonehead, your right.. I just wish JV had a Garland attitude, would have been something to watch -

How about "said guy" being right under our noses? I believe he's here but just needs to be brought along in no hurry as in next season or the season after except for possibly being more creative is Klim and if that kid works out and consistently shows beast mode.. that will help a lot and I'm even more surprised he might have a higher upside than Podz and we've only just begun with seeing his.. have big hopes for this kid... if we trade him, wow that would be a mistake but you can guess that a few scouts have kept him on their radar after 6 goals in 5 games in the world jr's and the steady progression up to get there which his stats clearly show. A Garland like work attitude with a OV swagger.. hope he makes it! -

yeah fair enough but with Hughes and Petey needing to be signed then Bo and then Brock needing re-upped too, that was all about pulling off a OEL/Garland trade as well to improve D but a cap dump in its own right.. so now we wait for Bo n Flow to be resigned, so yet another blip but the cap's not really going anywhere so this situation is tough.. doable, but tough.. The Best we can hope for that might be great if Klim plays lights out and brings 2 years of a ELC into the equation to further help out.. cap is projected to raise only a million.. -

Why? we need size, especially with Garland, Hogs, and Hughes. I think, for playoffs sake you have 2 tops and on the outside 3 but at that point you have to have a bigger roster to balance or that just spells doom.. If we can replace his size then yeah I'm all for it but we can't have a average sized roster and 3 smaller, bigger teams will exploit that all day long. (as we've witnessed here) -

Yeah but 2 things there, first those 3 with the exception of Markstrom in Tanev, Eddie often injured is like buying a car that run but has a bunch of previous accidents, do you put any money into it or not and the longer the list and the older the car, at some point you say no.. especially with term involved. That was the right choice made. Markstrom? when Demko was due for a raise would have been redundant AND expensive... and with the cap not doing anything again was the right move. -

dude.. he's the type of guy who takes those mistakes to heart and brings a shoot out goal to make up for it, yeah we need him! -

ok.. I'm opposed to dumping Miller, at that cap hit with his character?! For a top pairing D I'd be ok with but nothing short of that. He put up OV numbers for half the cost.. -

It's that but there's still some questions remain to seen.. will Podz keep up his trajectory? Will Klim? Those are 2 big ones right now and yeah D of course but are those 2 possible top 6 roster spots gone, with a good price tag especially since the cap is only going up a million... -

You'd keep Flow over JT? from a team stand point, JT brings more than just goals... he makes the odd mistake but he's more a complete player not just a sniper. -

well that's why he tried Rous.. and Train.. Guddy.. IF those had worked, at least he tried, he just didn't sit back and do the same ole chit and just when he was turning the corner and filling in the gaps with Podz.. Klim.. was a step in the right direction as well. Not to mention OEL.. but Klim is a Garland except in height and we need more of that!
