  1. pretty sure most of that was JB's plan and a lot of hope rested on Rathbone and Podz, and take it from there as in who was) is available after seeing how the team progresses but with everything that went sideways this season and injuries to Motte and Sutter out, on top of that Hamonic. We were just doomed from the start of this season, and not even counting Petey and Hughes out as well.. Then Petey messed, Boeser with hitting everything metal as in goal posts, Bo just.. well at a loss how to handle it all or something started off ok but fizzled except for odd flashes here and there... sad but whatever. JT hit it off when he said no one knows what's going on, sure... TG is my only big slam on JB other than Tryamkin.. JB should have not listened when the fan base screamed for TG as head coach or signed LE for the same reason when all the high profile FA's were gone to better destinations than a Canadian team unless it paid LARGE... Anyway.. I digress, I just don't know what people expected to happen especially with covid and the missing 10 mil in projected salary cap to have players like chaisson and hunt not on the roster but it is was it is... That hurt too..
  2. No he had to sell it to get the 2012 roster... then the cap... it was all over, no money to sign a guy who could take on Buffy on the Hawks and win, and not leave luongo out in the breeze... and that was that... ala Andrew Alberts try.. still not enough, we had everyone locked up long term and then crash.. enter JB.. my gawd that man has balls walking into that for leftovers to build something out of with a salary cap, not happening... not with hands tied like that.
  3. High tempo tough teams with depth win cups... and the so-called education about hockey these days are from the media and most of it is laughable... not ALL but most.. but for arguements sake, then why did all the so-called fans jump all over the JT Miller trade then? Getting another top 6 forward is what we needed now and for time left on his contract, everyone just should have been happy to have him but nooooo... how was that educated to think getting a guy who would lead the team in scoring and match toe to toe with OV himself all season for half the cost.. seriously, show me some education in that..
  4. I LIKE IT!!!!! That's about it actually.. except worse, we'll trade those picks for soft speedy prospect players or trade for, (whatever) that get ran over in the playoff's... win lots during the season then gone in first round usually... fun! Nothing new...
  5. that's funny, I tweeted back to that, would have made substance but with all the contracts that JB had to start here with not added into that equation.. IF he had a clean slate from walking in then yes it would have been in context but
  6. since when should a team have to rely on backend scoring when you have great D that helps keep the puck out of your net? IF that's the case and the D is good you don't need as many goals anyway..
  7. honestly, you have to feel sorry for whoever takes the helm in this shi_t storm
  8. wait what? I agree Sopel had his really bad years but got it together anyway but Tanev? bad? omg lmao I needed that laugh..
  9. The problem with this team is that it simply doesn't believe in itself and how can it being so new together, not even finished and all the crap that went on since training camp produce that? not likely.. no matter who is coaching, you can only do so much. We were a lot closer to that with the new players coming in to finish up complimenting this roster as in a more experienced Podz and Klim waiting. D upgraded and guys like chaisson (stop gaps) gone, but we'll sell it all off and start all over again.. great..
  10. well take away all the Gillis long term contracts I'd be in front of you in line to get rid of him.
  11. yeah dump the whole team... Demko sucks, Miller sucks, Petey sucks, Bo sucks, Hogs sucks, Podz sucks, Motte sucks, yep just dump right? back to square one.. let's go back to our butter soft team with no depth... that worked really well uh huh sell the farm win it now! we have so many Stanley cups like that!!! woooohoooo!!!
  12. Think they were thinking Rathbone would be groomed for that with his speed but too inexperienced but Hamonic should have negated that from day 1 of training camp, however...
  13. well he ended up that way.. he learned.. OEL Miller Garland say hi... these 3 are playing better than anyone else on the team.. that we traded for I mean. Demko has been the best in terms of whole team. Of course we'll trade him..
  14. well then you weren't drunk or we have diff views of "drunk" looks like... My version is thus I had a night I can't remember but my friend are never letting me live it down...
  15. Ok trading Miller for picks that may or may not turn out is taking a HUGE risk for a proven version of what we have already that has years ahead of him without worry of much of a drop off BUT who knows when the trades and teardown will start? well knowing a new rookie GM will be available to fleece, the blood will be in the water... We're so done...
  16. team will be dismantled, picks given away, sell the farm... we'll be a really good regular season, fast, soft team with no depth.. the two 1 trick ponies we had proved that too. Now nothing will change, JB was just learning not to try the same way but it could have been anyone but public opinion wants what it wants and ownership will bow. Nothing new... oh well.. Been that way until JB arrived but even he bent to it signing LE when the public outright demanded it to out a previous 30 goal scorer with the Twins. This is why we're screwed... LARGE!
  17. well I think we have our power forward getting ready to show up next season in Klim but we'll probably trade him and lose a easy ELC in the same move.. Gritty Dmen? no we'll get smaller faster D and get creamed in the playoffs because Myers will be traded...
  18. no it's not going to work.. this team is history now... forget a chance at the cup for another 40 years, we'll go back to a great regular season team soft as butter with no depth as the fan base will keep demanding a win it all this year and screw the future... nothing new... and JB at least tried to rebuild/retool and was actually turning the corner with trades like JT and OEL Garland and plug holes while waiting for the right players to come along and picks developed, not just what's available in FA but whatever, insanity is trying THAT win it all now and sell the farm is going to work.. yeah why would we want a Stanley cup contender here year after year?? So it's back to that... woooohoooo..
