  1. You got that out of my post? I am not debating if it’s warranted or not, I am just saying it happens a lot. To use your words “at least in my experience”
  2. Sure, any how many jokes are about tupe, small hands, dietary habits, complexion, wiener size etc?
  3. So lets replace them with Anderson, Matthews, Lemon, Maddow etc. My original point was that media is obsessed with minuscule details of Trump’s life. You clearly see that right? Yes, I know what incoherent means, but isn’t it redundant when you use words like rambling incoherent mess? He could have made his point by just using incoherent, other words just seem like additional jab imo.
  4. As a fellow Slav, I am reinstating your credibility. Term that whole world is laughing at Canada was a hyperbole. Although there were newspapers/media in other countries, that had reacted to this story in a negative way. Not all of them are conservatives, even some feminists made fan of JT. Yes, it is much ado about nothing comparing to real issues in the world. But isn’t politics and media, much ado about nothing anyways?
  5. Just because you and I might not understand what she was trying to say, it doesn’t make her speech incoherent mess. Maybe that is how she talks every day, I try not to be judgmental of a young kid that seems harmless. I don’t know if she ruined the town hall like you sad, if she was heckling him, I would have agreed.
  6. Washington post is not a 2nd rate journal, I think TS has second highest circulation in Canada. Thats besides the point, I posted their opinion as a response to LC’s original post. As far as your second paragraph, yes you are correct, but it is not mutually exclusive to right wing. Do you find it different when Trumps hair, size of his junk, hands or the fact he didn’t hold Melania’s hand Is debated ad nauseam? Every night Oliver, Maher, Meyers, Fallon, Colbert etc beat the dead horse over and over. Majority here find it funny since they dislike DT.
  7. Sure, but Trudeau offered his opinion and made up a new word. The only way to counter that is with another opinion, he can’t be factually debated since his opinions are also like.....
  8. Of course I read those links, I am not sure that same can be said about you. I don’t find this to be a major world shattering deal, but he should not quit his job to become a comedian. Also he changed his tune saying it was a joke after the backlash, sounds like backpedaling. Since you wanted examples, here are some excerpts from above posted links. And also your RT argument would have some credibility, if you didn’t refer to them as ruskies. https://www.merriam-webster.com/ Definition of Russki plural Russkies or Russkis sometimes disparaging + offensive https://www.washingtonpost.com/ Molly Roberts But enough groaning over grammar, and enough scrutinizing Trudeau’s semantics. This is more than a case of performative allyship falling flat. It’s a lesson in a broader trend of performative progressivism obscuring illiberal policymaking. The same day Trudeau held forth on our hopelessly gendered vocabulary, it surfaced that his government had brokered a $233 million deal to sell 16 combat helicopters to the Philippines. http://torontosun.com/ Candice Malcolm It was dumb, alright. But Trudeau wasn’t joking. The comment reveals the prime minister’s eagerness to virtue signal when it comes to feminism and political correctness, while adhering to a far-left ideology. Trudeau is part of the crowd that seeks to dismantle the English language and change the meaning of words to advance a rigid dogma. Trudeau comes over as the worst kind of hectoring, bully pulpit smart-a**; dripping with virtuous self-aggrandizing sanctimony. 9. Since you have not noticed, I thought maybe I should post some links for you. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-5357037/Trudeau-mocked-telling-woman-say-peoplekind.html https://www.nzz.ch/panorama/peoplekind-justin-trudeaus-wortschoepfung-erregt-konservative-kritik-ld.1354972 http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/opinion/commentary/ct-justin-trudeau-liberal-hero-20180208-story.html http://www.thestandard.com.hk/section-news.php?id=192697&sid=2 https://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/post-partisan/wp/2018/02/07/peoplekind-is-the-least-of-justin-trudeaus-problems/?utm_term=.8800d8d3640a http://www.abc.net.au/news/2018-02-08/canada-pm-justin-trudeau-says-peoplekind-remark-was-bad-joke/9407222 http://nmnoticias.ca/tag/peoplekind/ https://globalnews.ca/news/4011055/commentary-dear-prime-minister-do-your-job-and-end-the-pipeline-war/ https://www.rt.com/news/418061-trudeau-peoplekind-correction-mankind/ https://www.theguardian.com/world/2018/feb/07/justin-trudeau-tells-woman-to-say-peoplekind-not-mankind
  10. Congrats Eagles on beating the Patriots!

  11. People that want to secede, are like folks that think if a group gets lost in the woods, best idea is to split up. I am suprised to hear people talk about that in Canada, Quebec being the exception of course.
  12. Time will tell. https://globalnews.ca/news/4000351/biz-report-site-c-pipelines/
  13. Some here would protect the environment under all cost. All that pristine nature won’t do much, if you are dependent on another nation or even worse if you lose your sovereignty.
  14. I should have clarified term “down here”, I live in the land of the Lincoln.
  15. Yeah, down here they take a video so when you get a ticket, you can log in and see your infraction. Makes it very difficult to contest it. My wife got the ticket because she did not stop long enough before making a right hand turn.
  16. Cameras down here run 24/7 365 days a year, it’s a big money maker.
  17. We have hundreds of red light cameras down where I live. I think ticket for going through red light is around $120, and every year cameras generate 50-60 million in fines. If you try to go around the gates at RR crossing that is $500 fine
  18. Lot of these expensive car owners are young kids who also drive recklessly.
  19. That is what happens when company has a monopoly on the market. No wonder why rates are so high.
  20. Looks like Trump thread is on a break again

    1. Alflives

      Alflives

What?  Does that mean our Trump thread got “Fired”?  :o

      CBH1926

One of these days this thread, it will be permanently fired imo

    3. SabreFan1

      SabreFan1

If it is put on too long of a break, people will just start new threads about each individual stupid thing that he does.  At least with the one Trump thread, it's easily modded when the need arises.

The only other thing that can be done is ban any kind of discussion of Trump.  If that happened on an official NHL message board, I guarantee that at some point Fox News and other news outlets would pick it up and the rush of non-hockey loving Trumpkins to this board would cause it to get shut down for quite some time.

  21. I am not disagreeing with that statement.
  22. Eagles fans, classy as usual. https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/early-lead/wp/2018/01/21/brace-yourselves-eagles-fans-philadelphia-has-greased-the-light-poles/?utm_term=.4e5d77ee88f0 https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/2018/01/21/philadelphia-eagles-fans-fight-police-before-nfl-playoff-game-minnesota/1052524001/ http://www.nj.com/expo/ERRY-2018/01/766a22fba0/index.html
  23. Hopefully Minnesota wins, it will be tougher for Pats to beat them at their own stadium.
  24. Come on Jaguars, I am tired of Pats fans running their mouth.
  25. Interesting article about foreign ownership in Vancouver metro area. http://vancouversun.com/news/local-news/dan-fumano-digging-deeper-following-the-money-on-foreign-property-ownership
