  1. We live in crazy times indeed, I do get that people are tired of the lockdowns. In the U.S some have been screaming about their rights and saying we are on our way to communism, fascism etc. Some of us that lived under less democratic regimes laugh at their comparisons. Back in 1972, pilgrim from Mecca brought back small pox to former Yugoslavia. Disease has been eradicated since 1930s but an outbreak ensued. Government declared martial law, closed the border, cordoned off villages and towns and put around 10 000 people under quarantine in hotels. Army was guarding those hotels and leaving was not an option, maybe it was, but you would be carried out feet first. Entire country of 18 million was vaccinated in just couple of weeks. Vaccination wasn’t voluntary either, none of that “my body my choice”
  2. This guy’s nickname is thunder from down under. I thought that only dummies in Philly punch horses, clearly I was wrong!
  3. What do you expect from a guy whose name is Lindsey.
  4. Probably thought he was drafted to Siberia.
  5. He has all the attributes of the future KHL player indeed, the only problem might be color of his skin.
  6. Was just going to post this, he is not the sharpest tool in the box is he?
  7. I have gotten few Toradol injections for back pain, wasn’t really impressed with it. As far as MLB goes, steroids were banned since early 90s but league didn’t start testing until 2003. Same goes for the guys that played in the NFL in the 70s and 80s, so many of them were juicing. Both leagues were pretending that they didn’t know. Technically you are right that NFL and MLB didn’t give out steroids but they were well aware of it. Just decided not to do anything about it which makes them accessories imo.
  8. That’s is absolutely crazy! Next thing you know, we are going to hear about NFL and MLB players taking steroids.
  9. According to the Iranians, ISIL took responsibility for mosque bombing in Kabul. https://en.mehrnews.com/news/179379/ISIL-claims-responsibility-for-attack-on-mosque-in-Kabul
  10. Took kids to a preseason game, between tickets, parking, hats and some food and snacks, it cost me over $500. Glad to see that hockey is so affordable to watch!

@22Sedinery33 @NewbieCanuckFan @BellYeah they did enjoy it, we have gone to AHL games before to watch the Wolves but this was the first trip to an NHL game. Through AMEX we got in earlier than the general public, so it was cool to walk around without all the people.

  11. I am glad that my home state is ranked 47 in the U.S but what is going on with Alberta? Are they trying to emulate Florida?
  12. I just love how few years ago they were all in favor of Muslims not coming over, especially the ones from the Afghanistan. Now all Afghans that are residents or citizens and stuck there, are more American than the apple pie or Joe from Toledo Ohio.
  13. Some folks are very outraged by racism, but at the same time generalizing tens of millions of people. I would point out the irony, but they might be too dumb to realize it.
  14. So 3 plus maximum of 10 more games, so much for the lifetime ban. NHL knows it’s fanbase, sometimes I wonder if people that post here have ever been to a hockey game outside of Vancouver. https://www.msn.com/en-ca/sports/nhl/andrei-denyskin-suspended-a-maximum-of-13-games-for-racist-gesture/ar-AAOXoHb?li=AAggNb9
  15. “However, the document does not detail why the government thinks the almost $1 million down payment was proceeds of crime, as the crimes that it referred to were committed after the purchase.” Just below it states this which is somewhat confusing. It is either poorly written article by the Sun or the official document has some mistakes. Will be interesting to see how this case unfolds.
  16. Looks like gubmint wants this guy’s condo. They are accusing him of money laundering after he bought the condo, not sure money laundering works that way. https://vancouversun.com/news/b-c-government-wants-to-seize-vancouver-penthouse-apartment-belonging-to-covid-19-party-host
  17. Nice to see Browns and Bills do well, loyal fan bases and decades of bad teams and failures.
  18. I assume that you live in TX, how are things down there in terms of Covid?
  19. I remember seeing a story about this, it happened in 1981 in Alabama. Last time body was displayed for public viewing was 1936. One of the killers got the electric chair in Alabama case, I think that was the first time a white person was executed for killing a black person. Afghanistan is going back to public soccer stadium executions like back in the 90s.
  20. I supervise lot of younger people at work and they are the ones that have been getting Covid lately. They just feel that they don’t need the vaccine, no political reasons behind it. At my age and medical history, vaccine was the right decision. I am not into forcing people into stuff that they don’t want, but lot of disinformation has been distributed. At this junction, we have all made decisions that we have to live with.
  21. I look at vaccines as body armor. Although it’s not 100% safe since it doesn’t cover all of your body. I would still rather wear one if I was involved in some sort of the shootout. One thing that cracks me up is the reasoning why some people don’t want to take vaccines. So many Americans are obese, suffering from diabetes, high cholesterol and heart disease. We have spent our lives eating highly processed foods, corn syrup, food dyes, saturated fat, sugary sodas etc. But yeah, now we are concerned what’s in the vaccines, like Mississippi. Highest obesity rate in already obese country, with lowest vaccination rates. Especially amongst blacks and Hispanics, who are even more obese than whites and Asians.
  22. First step in Taliban democracy, hanging dead bodies from a crane. Next step will be public executions and back to chopping off limbs for petty crimes. https://www.washingtonpost.com/world/witness-taliban-hang-dead-body-in-afghan-citys-main-square/2021/09/25/eb860386-1de9-11ec-bea8-308ea134594f_story.html
