As a follow-up; if anyone has Amazon video a better recommendation would be "Mr Jones", a 2019 film depicting a true story of Gareth Jones journey to Moscow, discovering the Holdomor, & being a lone voice reporting on it, exc. Including re-creations of his accounts (Ukraine). It's really good.

@King Heffy Definitely, and the Soviets also had alot of admirers in the West even prior to that.

Generally speaking I don't think much is taught about the Soviet Union, atleast not when I was in school.

Anne Applebaum has written a number of books on the Soviet Union including 'Red Famine' specifically on the Holodomor. Would highly recommend if anyone's interested. 

To piggyback off Heretic, I think there is something to be said for selective attention when it comes to injustice. The Eastern trade slave isn't even thought of as I said. 

Given whats going on in Ukraine, I'm still surprised there hasn't been more of a light shed on the Holodomor, for example. Especially since the first monument to it was in Edmonton, yet no one seems to know anything about it.

The eastern slave trade doesn't really get talked about as much. Just bringing this up is a taboo topic for sure.

that was a tough one. I remember seeing Forsling passing pucks to Nylander (when checking him out that year) and liking the pick. Never liked that trade.

Picked this up today. Used (but barely) for $675. It's an MIM but I'm still stoked. 

Out of curiosity do you know for sure if its Omnicron or Delta? Heard Delta was still going around for some.

@Gnarcore Wow thats cool. I'd be scared of wrecking my instrument if I tried a project like that haha. I have thought about taking my old Strat apart and replacing it with good working parts though. 

I guess it also depends what style you like to play and stuff. I'm mostly into alternate rock, & punk/pop punk so far. So having a good Strat with the versatility of multiple pickup positions is appealing, especially since I have a Les Paul already. 

Out of curiosity do you have (or have tried) wireless transmitters in place of an amp chord? Been debating picking up some of those.  

@Ghostsof1915 Damn man thats a really cool instrument. As a kid I played Piano, then also Drums in our school band (after failing at Clarinet), always wanted a drum kit but my parents wouldn't go for it haha

Now I'm onto Guitar. Been thinking about buying a keyboard & drum kit though, figure it would only make me better learning other instruments, even on guitar. 

@Gnarcore I bought an Epiphone Les Paul special 2 last year ($200-$300 guitar) and its actually a pretty decent guitar. I've only been playing for like 4 years (on & off, self taught) so I'm not super knowledgeable, it was the first guitar I've actually bought, but I've really liked it.  

That said a buddy picked up a used Fender Strat & I was playing it around the time I'd just gotten my guitar, and man its plays so nice. Feels so much nicer.

My original guitar was a cheap strat style handed down (pickups were crapping out tho) so now that I have the Les Paul I'd like another Strat. And after playing the Fender its been on my wishlist.

Rutherfix! Its a little different in a good way. Feel like 'plan' has been done.

Eichel when healthy is probably a better player. What's Eichel's contract 10.5? Maybe if Petey holds out into the season demanding more than that. 

What about Palat? Tampa needs to move money, would that be better?
