  1. Blues top 9 is amazing. Kyrou is leading in points & on the third line. Their D on the other-hand not so amazing. Little surprised they are going back to Halak, but he did play great. It's a chance to keep his momentum going.
  2. Hopefully last night is the start of a skid for the Oilers. 4 pts back & the Oil have a game in hand. Lose 2 more, we win 2 more, and were right there.
  3. During the 2nd period they did mention that this current Flames team has four 30 goal scorers (Lindholm, Mangiapane, Gaudreau, Tkachuk) Which "Hasn't happened for the Flames since 93-94" (Nieuwendyk, Fleury, Roberts, Reichel) then Scott Oake 'reminded the viewers' that 30-40 goal regular seasons "guarantee nothing & certainly didn't in 93-94, when the Flames took a 3-1 series lead on Vancouver in the opening round, lost the next 3 to go out in 7" LOL
  4. Rink Wide guys having been putting some heat on him. And in games like Buffalo/Detroit/Minnesota where a goal is the difference, sure, you want him to score. But I still feel like he's been creating offense regardless. And I like the Rink Wide podcast, but between them & trade rumours.. I feel like Garland has been pretty good all things considered. Not having top PP time must be tough coming from AZ, I hope we don't give him away.
  5. I predicted Garland would score tonight, aaaand... he hit the post on an open net. Close enough right? Seriously though, tough break for Garland. He had the goal (wrongly) waved off against Tampa & tonight get's unlucky. I feel like he's unfairly taking some heat. Sure he isn't scoring goals but he's still getting points with Miller, winning battles, keeping possession, and making plays happen. In games where we aren't going offensively - he's the one working hard, spinning back & forth, and creating chances for teammates. On pace for 18 goals & 46 points in 82 while not getting much PP time. That's not bad at all.
  6. I haven't been watching HNIC since the end of OTT/FLA, just want to go back & hear the Demko praise. Not sure what was said.
  7. Sorry I typed that out badly. I meant OEL is the stabilizing guy (for Myers). It made sense as I was thinking it, lol.
  8. Petey is so much better when he's put in PK situations & focused on a 200 ft game. Maybe it engages him more.. who knows, but with his IQ he's an asset all over the ice.
  9. It's annoying how contracts cloud people's judgment of players. Apart from a few games on that last homestand OEL has been very good this year. It must not always be easy with Myers either, but OEL's a stabilizing guy to play with so he makes it work.
  10. Great game, now back to the Canucks. Man that was a crazy finish. Vintage Petey showed up in the third - he's had a great roadtrip. Podkolzin is gaining confidence in himself & looking more assertive, kid just keeps getting better. And Demko is god (what else can you say really)
  11. Best I've seen in years. Dunno how Stutlze didn't get a penalty shot tho
  12. 3 points out. (Would've only been 2 if Chicago was a competent team) LFG. Playoffs here we come.
