  1. How you ever seriously considered the possibility that supporting indefinite lockdowns/restrictions/mandates is the wrong position? Or at the very least the longer they go the more likely they do more harm than they are worth?
  2. I was debating this with @rekker recently. He's got some nice attributes & has played a little better but I agree with JPats assessment it just hasn't clicked. Maybe you even do it b/c your worried about his contract being hard to move if he sticks around struggling.
  3. I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt that they are young & gaining experience. Petey has been a star for a few years now (and Hughes), but I don't think expectations were ever at the level we had originally expected this team could hit. In normal circumstances they rely on finesse to get it done but your right, sometimes you need to be simple. Maybe it hasn't been ingrained in them yet that the finesse way sometimes needs to take a backseat when things aren't clicking. (Like good/experienced teams seem to figure out)
  4. PP really let us down, getting one w/ under 4 mins left in a 0-0 game was a golden opportunity & they couldn't even get setup. One of those games where you need them to break through. Good teams are able to get that
  5. JT was feeling it, guy came off a hat trick trying to win the game for his team.. Idk, bad play but heart is in the right place. Guess that doesn't count in the standings tho
  6. I just don't to focus primarily on this Blue-Anon type narrative. It would be like doing a deep dive into Antifa / rioters / views of BLM organizers during the summer riots, it takes away from what the earnest folks are trying to say. Fringe elements always attach themselves to protests, this isn't new. Do you think protests in the 60's didn't have extremist groups involved? This could be a truism for any protest. Its not that I'm unaware of fringe groups or wouldn't be prepared to stand against them if they tried to actualize their beliefs, but I'm not interested in that taking primacy over what the majority of earnest Canadians are trying to say. Edit: And now I could use a beer.
  7. Man trading him already would suck. If they trade Miller AND Garland we are really setting ourselves back a number of years in regards to being competitive.
  8. Heff's schtick is hyperbole & fully aware of it. Sometimes it makes me laugh especially when we are all watching the game but in certain areas I certainly disagree.
  9. So this logic is applicable to any protest, or any vaguely unified group; that all the people in it completely represent the single absolute worst view of any 1 person regardless of their personal will to disavow/state an independent cause. You could really have a field day with that Alf. Maybe its time for me to grab a beer & check the starting lineup for tonight. LOL
  10. The 'organizers' don't have some kind of indefinite control over the minds & actions of all these people, its not a Russian conspiracy funnelled through some under ground network, people have been organically coming together around this on social media & the internet. In any protest there will be fringe parts, but I don't agree they represent the majority.
  11. Which ones? How many people out of the whole protest & all the supporters of it around the world? Do you have proof for this claim - that its not a minority? Ive read many posts, many comments, from many groups on different internet platforms & its not the sense I get at all. (Aswell I support the protest & I don't want to destabilize the government) I guess wanting Trudeau out could count as a destabilization... maybe? I don't think the future of the liberal party itself is in imminent jeopardy, or the country for that matter.
  12. Wow, you've really become emboldened in your view. Okay... that's a little too radical / heavy handed for me, but I respect you & your right to have an opinion. I simply think this is a narrow view of the overall scope of issues moving forward - which I've tried to explain, atleast in part - so I guess we will have to disagree.
  13. Like this fact? If that little percentage is currently sinking the healthcare system, then maybe we will also need to look at the adequacy of the healthcare system at some point here? We are a big & rich country after all.
