  1. Curry came down & dove to the floor. Smart on his part to draw the call, but the FVV contact didn't make him fall out of the air .
  2. Still a super flop. And kinda weak compared to the contract they've let go on Kawhi.
  3. Curry gets all the borderline calls. If he travels they look the other way. If you breathe on him he goes flying & you get a foul.
  4. Not sold on Yamamoto. Id lean towards Ethan Bear. Could use a good RHD prospect.
  5. If Lucic agrees to waive his NMC 4 the expansion draft, lets do it. Add Benson, Bear or Puljujarvi & swap picks if we can. I dont want to see Eriksson on the Canycks next season. Worst case send him to Utica but I cant take watching another year of Eriksson.
  6. I've got them both in a similar tier around 8-10. I see both as good top 6 fwds. Cozens has been rated higher all year, but I don't see massive upside he might have been projected for after the Hlinka/Gretzky. He'll score goals, 20-30 annually I'd think, but I don't see him as a #1C or PPG guy. Cozens has the size & strength advantage, but Newhook plays faster & is more dynamic. Even in the u18's you see Newhook has game-breaking skill. When you talk about the way the game is trending, Newhook fits right in as a modern NHL player. I guess the debate for me is; the bigger, meat & potatoes type vs the dynamic skill + higher pace game of Newhook. But it is hard to ignore size. Especially when that size can score goals & contribute offensively....
  7. Just the timing was terrible to make that kind of move. Nowhere close to the playoffs & a #4D like they hoped they were getting wasn't going to move the meter. If that kind of move was made now I'd get it, but back then he needed to be focused on rebuilding. Scouting is his bread & butter I won't take that away from him. Edit: I agree on Kassian, I get he had his issues but man I'd love to have him on the team now.
  8. Of course Boston gets this. They are being outplayed 5 on 5 & get that Carlo bounce to seal a game 7. Even getting here, as great as Rask as been, all the top dogs go out in round 1 & they end up facing the wildcard teams (plus the Laffs) in a cakewalk to the final. Its like LA in 2012, beat us without our best player, then its Nashville, PHX & NJ in a cakewalk to the cup. (Though unlike LA the B's have a legitimate opponent in the finals, I'll give them that) Meanwhile sad club teams like Vancouver & St.Louis have to go through hell & highwater just to get to the finals. We're Frank Grimes & Boston is Homer Simpson.
  9. These playoffs have been totally overshadowed by the NBA/Raptors anyways. I'm sure Bettman was pleased to see them showing Raptors highlights during the intermission.
  10. Blues didn't choke. They outplayed the Bruins most of the game, Rask has just been insane & the Bruins got a lucky break to put the game out of reach.
  11. I'd argue the Gudbranson trade & not trading Tanev when he had good value has made a big impact. Could have another young player on this team right now pushing with our young core. The pushing for the playoffs plan, when we were a bottom feeder, was a mistake in the rebuilding process. Now we are lacking assets at a time when we need to start making some big steps.
  12. Loui Eriksson signing Not drafting Matthew Tkachuk Paying a premium for Gudbranson
  13. Bruins had a good start to the 2nd but then the Blues took over again. Blues have been the better team, special teams have just killed them. Gotta get more pucks on net in the third, 1 shot gets them right back in this game. The building is waiting to explode, they gotta score.
  14. Well in fairness, he's also made bad decisions on all fronts. There's definitely pressure this summer to improve the team. Our lack of assets is a problem trade wise, but hopefully Jim can pull another rabbit out of his hat like he did with the Guddy/Pearson trade.
  15. Bruins saved by the buzzer. PP aside, Blues carried the period, Boston did have some good 5 on 5 shifts but Blues were better. The roof will blow off this place when the Blues score.
