  1. Really? I completely missed that. If that's the case then yeah I wouldn't be surprised. I imagine alot of teams like him/find him intriguing, but I doubt a team would be willing to take him top 10. I can't see him getting to the 20's. Whichever team is sitting inbetween 10-20 that needs a big two-way RHD is going to be very pleased to take him. I don't feel as sure about him as Broberg/Soderstrom/York (which doesn't mean anything necessarily). But if there was an option to trade down, add asset(s), and take him I wouldn't hate it. I'd have it Newhook Zegras/Krebs Not sure which order for the latter, a month ago I would've said Krebs ahead of Zegras, but I'm reconsidering my list.
  2. Not there yet, still gotta get one more. Its a dynasty on the other side. Sure, very weakened, but its an experienced group. Deep down I'm excited obviously, but as a Vancouver sports fan I'm not about to plan the parade route. Won't believe it till its over, but I like our odds. I like the mindset of this group, they know there is still work to do. Hope we can all celebrate Monday night!
  3. Zegras is a bit bigger than Hughes isn't he? I guess he's slight. I think Newhook has top 6 potential but I'd agree idk if he has elite potential. I'd also agree Zegras has a higher ceiling but his habits (by which I mean perimeter play) leave me a bit skeptical. In a vaccum Zegras has more upside, but I think Newhook could be a good top 6 player too. And I think Newhook is a pretty smart player. Id throw Krebs in that group too as far as not being dissimilar in their tools. Between Zegras, Newhook & Krebs they are all about the same size & have some similarities. But all do offer something a little different. Those 3 are an interesting group to compare IMO.
  4. For sure. Personally I like Newhook more than Zegras, just because he's a better goal scorer aswell as the playmaking. More of a dual threat. And seems more willing to go to the net. Though Zegras has better wheels. One of the fastest skaters in this draft, which I won't take away from him.
  5. I agree with this. Yet JB doesn't seem interested in trading up or down. And still the speculation is we like a defenseman at #10. Which leads me to believe JB's guy is Broberg (or maybe Soderstrom). Would be surprised if they take Seider at #10, not that I don't like him. Why's that?
  6. Jack Hughes takes the puck in to traffic though. He attacks the zone & the opposition defense like McDavid with his speed. Zegras doesn't do that he seems to wheel & look for a pass. Zegras is one of the best skaters in the draft, no argument here, but he doesn't try to attack the net like Hughes does. Jack might have to take the puck out wide more often in the NHL, but he'll still attack when he can.
  7. Zegras is more of a perimeter player than Hughes.
  8. Lowry has had a good game, just can't get fouled out. I agree gotta be smarter. Its time for Kawhi to step up, but its tough with how much GS is keying on him. Makes other contributions even more important.
  9. Its Curry they aren't gunna make that call against him. Good for the Raps to get that 7 pt lead back, woulda sucked only up 4 after playing well that quarter.
  10. Key on Curry for sure, he's GS only hope. Good contributions all around for the Raps so far. Siakam's looks great, Danny Green hitting key shots, Gasol / Kawhi / Lowry doing some things. Gotta keep their foot on the floor.
  11. He wasnt a burner in jr which is why he fell, I didnt say DeBrincat was slow or a bad skater.
  12. Im just not as high on Zegras. I know hes highly regarded & I hope he does go top 5 but I wouldn't take him there.
