  1. Yeah im with you. At 10 theres atleast a chance of getting someone that you expect wont be available coming in. I dont know that Id want to go back any further than 13. after the top 2 theres 6 guys I have ranked to go ahead. (Dach, Byram, Turcotte, Pod, Cozens, Boldy) Then starting at 9, a group of: Zegras Newhook Soderstrom Caufield Krebs (Could throw Heinola or Seider in there too if you like) But basically theres still an opportunity there to get good upside & not huge risk. After this guys have less upside, more risk or are just generally more of a project. Imo. (Could change after u18s but this is how i see it now)
  2. He's one dimensional, hes small & hes not super fast. But all he needs is a bit of space to get a shot off. He'll need a great center to play with to score 40, like DeBrincat playing with Strome (& Kane on PPs) but he should he a consistent scorer like Phil Kessel. Just not as fast & idk if hes as good a playmaker as Phil either.
  3. Is Zegras really a much better prospect than Newhook? They seem like similar players to me.
  4. Kinda sucks but I doubt it'll really hurt Dachs stock with the playoffs he had.
  5. The hook was clear. And It hasn't been one-sided. There's Boston's PPG. They started calling the game by the book w/ the interference penalty to Hainsey, and they've continued that way.
  6. Matthews is trying too hard to shoot. On his 1 shot he had a guy open on the right side, if he passed they might've had an open net to shoot at.
  7. Svech was just trying to throw punches, left himself wide open for a shot. Ovechkin grabbed him right away & kinda rag dolled him from there.
  8. Im starting to come around on Newhook. Its always hard to evaluate the BCHL guys, but if he continues playing this well at u18s he'll be right there with Krebs/Zegras/Caufield for me.
  9. Mike Smith, Robin Lehner. And definitely Phillip Grubauer. Picking all the goalies here. Would say guys like Mark Stone, Josh Anderson, Mark Schiefele, Mitch Marner. But I know how good these players are. I knew Lehner had a great season but I always just remember him in Buffalo. Hes been great. And Smith/Grubauer have both been better than I thought/expected.
