  1. I just don't think Jake's a PWF. He's strong & fast but doesn't use it to his advantage. More of a scorer that doesn't score with enough consistency IMO.
  2. Its close. #4 pick vs #6 pick same year. Both 3rd liners that haven't developed the offensive side each team hoped. I'd probably lean Bennett too TBH. Bennett's been the more productive player. Only if Jake played with the grittness & intensity that Bennett does. I'd be Jake very easily.
  3. Crazy how that's all he is for a #4 pick, but he's really found a nice role there. Never saw him as a big hitter coming up but he's a super gritty player now. So; Virtanen or Bennett?
  4. I agree Kaliyev's defensive game needs work. Although I think its more of a consistency thing, rather than not knowing how to defend at all. Skating is more of a concern for me than defense. Mantha was brought up with Lavoie, but I really think Kaliyev compares to Mantha more. Mantha's a better skater tho.
  5. Leafs guys aren't going to throw their teammate under the bus. Tavares battled hard I thought, even th he didn't have a great night. Must not've been paying attention when he wasn't on the ice though, they absolutely got suckered into the Bruins BS.
  6. He's the real high upside pick. I've seen his effort questioned but these are young kids, alot of them have inconsistencies they need to work on. Biggest knock on Kaliyev is skating IMO. Otherwise he's a really good prospect. I imagine if he was more consistent he'd be right there in the conversation with guys like Boldy/Krebs/exc.
