  1. Kinda random but its hilarious to me to see Drance now touting this guy like he's one of his darlings, when literally like 10 mins before the trade he was on D&D saying how Bear was another borderline NHLer & making that deal would make no sense to him. Right after signing JT to that big deal (and with how Pettersson has played)? I don't know if it'll be a full tear down, but they'll try to make significant changes regardless imo.
  2. Haven't had a good feeling about this negotiation since Bo got off to his blazing start. I remember thinking before the season somewhere from Schenn (6.5M) to a bit past Kadri (7M) would be the range, but now he's an 8M player easily on the market. Its really gunna suck to see him go, I thought he might be a career Canuck, but hopefully we can get a great return for him.
  3. Idk Twitter is a pretty big/important/revolutionary company. In any important institution where there's some questions about how stuff is being run at the highest level (whether its a gov't, social media network, or even a hockey team) when the new regime takes over & has info available to potentially explain some stuff there will be some demand for it (atleast amongst those who cared to question). The thing he's got wrong is the evil in this world doesn't care about the woke **** either, for them its just a tool to gain power/favour. Corporations love the woke causes because it gets them social support without having to face criticism for their lies or unethical production of their products. The 'mind virus' is really more a symptom or barrier than the source.
  4. The idea would be hoping Mantha can bounce back. Given he's struggling more than Boeser (and has a lesser resume) maybe WSH adds a pick to make it work. The goal for Boeser should be get some kind of asset, even if that means taking back a contract. Maybe Mantha could be turned into a good pick(s) but he'd have to regain form & it still wouldn't be easy with his cap hit. I don't mind the idea as I've always found Mantha intriguing, but as a straight up deal it seems like a downgrade both performance & contract wise to save 1 year of a deal.
  5. I think they have an eye to building things going forward like all the fans. The difference is in what they think is salvageable here & what isn't. It's not going be a complete tear down & they are going to try to build around pieces on this roster, but I expect to see more changes made when it's easier to do so. IMO they are walking a line between wanting change & managing assets (which the last management did poorly). I'm sure they could've given Garland away, or paid an asset to get off another contract, but it wouldn't have put us further ahead at this point. In the meanwhile I do hope we win, it's been alot of losing. Not expecting things but I think results would be enjoyable whether it's coming through consistent play or skin of their teeth. We aren't getting the first pick regardless.
  6. Then your carrying extra deadweight when you hope to be good They could just give Myers away after his 5M bonus is paid & use the money taking on a bad deal
  7. They shouldn't buyout OELs contract until atleast 2025. Right now he's got 4 more years, if we buy him out we are eating a cap penalty for 8. Guys become such a whipping boy ala Edler in his last few years, he's fine.
  8. 8 wins in their last 11. Doesn't feel like it, but here we are.
  9. If the Canucks somehow make the playoffs EP wins the Hart Trophy. You heard it here first. Edit: second @Barnstorm
  10. That overtime was fantastic. And Petey is a superstar. Made the play on the GTG, phenomenal shift in OT they didn't score on, then EP rips it home. Stud.
