Adidas just sent an apology email for using the word "survive" when referring to a post-Boston Marathon ad. They said they were insensitive to those affected by the terrorist bombing. I get it, but does this mean all of us should now be afraid to use phrases like 'I survived' or 'I'm dying here' or 'this is killing me' when participating in a marathon?

Just another example of political correctness gone too far. The slogan "I survived the Boston Marathon" has been around for a REALLY long time - well before the terrorist bombing. People that get offended at that phrase now have let the terrorists win - they've let the terrorists dictate and shape their lives rather than showing them that their lives, their marathon, and their dignity is beyond the terrorist's reach.
