  1. Canucks (23rd) lost to the Islanders (26th).Not surprising any longer. They lost with some fashion but the Islanders performed admirably. Games and runs and seasons are all about momentum and unless the Nucks can find theirs this season is a write off. Let's hope Detroit empties the cupboard for Kesler.
  2. I note Kesler played the most minutes. Maybe he is dreaming of Michigan.
  3. Dragonfruits, the Islanders are the 27th placed team in the league. I think the team is imploding before our very eyes. What do you think?
  4. Shame Gillis does not know what superior skating abilities in a defense man does for a team. Probably thinks he needs another 6'4" body that has no idea what to do with a puck.
  5. Living in Mike's pool house,I take it?
  6. Before the secondary scoring implosion(Santo's injury) the Twins were performing on par with their historical scoring rate. You never got the memo. It's not a rebuild,it's a process.
  7. Even if I lived in the lower mainland I would rather give to charity of those that suffer in life rather then the billionaire that does not need any more of anything. Get your priorities together, man.
  8. Shareholders, huh? Do they get dividends or a return on capital? It's entertainment and he is failing to entertain those that pay his salary. I like the suck hole job, though.Looks good on him.
  9. Exactly. As he knows this he lied. There are eight UFA/RFA's to sign with the increasing cap space. Tanev,Santorelli,Kassian,Weber and Schroeder should all command an increase in pay. Santo will require how much of the increasing cap? Kassian? Tanev? Without pitching sales, the GM has about 3.5 million to get a puck moving d man,a first liner to play with the twins and a second liner to take the place of Burr and Booth(whom are being paid to play first/second line minutes).
  10. Yeah ,Gillis has not been able to process that which means 21st place and 28th best PP is where the process currently resides.
  11. #23 beat #26 to become #21. Nice to win games, especially when the stakes are so high.
  12. I thought trolling got one banned? At least that is what the canned mod messages to me state but I digress. With a 28th place PP and a team that can't score to save their million dollar salaries,I can see the point. Keep up the good work.
  13. I love this team. Way better than a lot of people think. 28th place PP. 28th place goals scored in league. That is what makes each and every game enjoyable.
  14. Lack:27 NHL games under the Canucks #1 belt. 9 wins.Markstrom has 11 wins. Luongo has more wins playing for team Canada. In actuality,it is all about cap space and failure of asset management.
  15. The shooters still receive same exorbitant pay cheque whether they are competent at their job description or not. Four years,NTC,refuse to go to Philadelphia. You know the story.

  17. The Lames have 3. The Conundrums have 2.
  18. Get back to me in 44 years so I can lend you a reality check.
  19. No rain on Bali and losing is still not the most uplifting experience,as lifelong Canucks fans know full well.
  20. Dallas is the new Vancouver. Go Stars!
  21. Team 1040 broadcasts are your friend.
  22. November was a losing month with four wins and five losses and four ties-which led to four overtime losses. Four out of thirteen sucks pretty bad.
  23. Luo gets to go home and that is what he wanted. Not many players have ever said that on trade day. This was a long time coming but the very best possible outcome for Luo,given what he means to the franchise. From Luo's perspective this means the GM kept his interests at heart and performed what can best be described as a miracle. Gillis gets a vocal critic out of his hair, and a much needed $4.5m cap dump for the next eight years Luongo and Gillis get what they needed and this long story ends. Thanks for the memories,Luo. Enjoy retirement.
  24. Yes,and now very obvious to most mature hockey fans of the Canucks. Gillis has been pushing on Luo for years now. Aqua man will not eat Gillis' contract with Luo. The only thing left is Gillis' two year debacle/side show/ineptitude in not trading him. The Canucks will not waive Luo and Luo is still reporting to the Canucks to order to have some say in his next club of employment. When a player starts making public pronouncements the way Luo has done -Kesler and now the Classic Game- there is a chasm in managing said player. Luo is publicly slagging management and that can not be tolerated if it continues much longer. Luo is publicly pronouncing the situation he finds himself in. Gillis has done what he wanted to do for the club and now Luo is pushing to get out. Kesler is apparently doing the same and I expect others to follow.
  25. Not sure you noticed but the story went public. It is not about which goaltender you think should start or your opinions. It is about player management concerning the fact a pro has to publicly air his opinions outside the club to have them heard.
