  1. DAMN!!!! I forgot to have dinner.......................... regards, G.
  2. Well, he's not, unless you're associated with a team that will make it out of the first round.... regards, G.
  3. Hey, they each played at least a few shifts in those positions. Whadda' want? regards, G.
  4. Yeah, the Canucks could be sellers at the TDL, and supposedly pick up some assets at the expense of other assets. It would undoubtedly warm the hearts of the young core to see all of their hard work for this year wiped away for assets that will (likely) not be seen for as much as 3+ years. I'm sure that will make them very happy to be here. Do I believe the Canucks will the Cup with the team they have right now? Not really. And I wouldn't want them to trade away anything too special in order to acquire a valuable building block (eg. a youngish, big, strong, defensive minded RD), at least not at this stage. Do I want the team to trade away picks/prospects/players for some kind of possible glorious future? Maybe, depending on what is moved. For example, Rathbone is a redundundundant piece. I'd want a right now asset, rather than a future asset in a deal which includes him. regards, G.
  5. Re-uniting them does appear to be a factor in Boeser regaining his scoring touch. regards, G.
  6. Well, I was talking with a friend of mine, and he mentioned that he and his dog disagreed with each other on this amount for signing Miller. About the only thing they did agree upon was that it would really rough on the team to lose Miller. regards, G.
  7. To my mind, Boeser needs a guy like Pearson to get him rolling and to start producing points. Pearson needs a guy like Boeser to start producing points so that other folks notice the job he does, getting a guy like Boeser rolling. regards, G.
  8. The drummer gotta' be real tired after this. regards, G.
  9. Nope. I'm not really a Metal kind of guy. I see Nemo for being good for what they are, but like a lot of Metal bands, it's scream into the mic, pretty much slap the drums the same way for 4 or so minutes, and play really fast. This beings said, there are better known but worse acts (imo), than what Nemophila is (all male, all female or something in between). At least there is a bit of variety to their sound. I think I prefer Mary's Blood to Nemophila, which has a bit of a cross-over with Nemophila. regards, G.
  10. The only way that Vancouver gets out of that deal (if offered) is that Sweney thinks he's being trolled by Dubas, and he hangs up the phone. regards, G.
  11. This is one of the important questions in life. Curry. A chicken tikka masala, w/rice and a basic naan. Warm and filling, but too heavy. regards, G.
  12. And yet, for some, the chemistry between Pearson and Horvat (and also Pearson playing fairly well with Miller and Boeser) is seen as him being a passenger on the coat tails of these other, formerly under producing guys (see Boeser in particular). Ah well, back to book. regards, G.
  13. He could also stymie a Boston trade by including them on his M-NTC list, so there's that. I'm not really understanding the Pearson dislike that some have for the guy. He seems to be a bit streaky, but that could be said of quite a few other players. His career stats show that he has produced at about a point every two games (which he is currently doing this season) which isn't too bad, and he has broken the 20 goal mark twice in his career (most recently in 2019 - 20). If the most significant reason that people have for wanting Pearson off the team is for contract/cap reasons, then I would suggest that the team would do better to move some of the other guys who aren't producing at a pace which they might otherwise be expected to perform. Chiasson isn't really what was expected, not that his being gone would help the cap situation all that much. Some want Hoglander to get more TOI, but has he really shown that he will be anything more than another streaky type of player (54 games, 8g 8a which is down from 27 pts in 56 games last season)? <insert comments regarding Hoglander's line mates and TOI here, but Pearson doesn't always play top-6 minutes> True, Hoglander is young, and he has time to develop, or not. Need food. regards, G.
