No one that I know of, though my current best friend apparently used to roam CDC around the late 2000s or so. I believe I saw @Canuck Clay at a Canuck game once, but didn't bother to say anything.

His shooting percentage is only 3.6%, but his shots/game are also way down. For the past two years, he had almost identical shooting rates and averaged 2.19 shots/game. This year, he's averaging 1.4 shots/game. So even if you increase his shooting percentage to a more normal rate, he likely scores less just based on shooting less. His minutes are also down compared to the prior two years though, so that would affect his shooting rate a little bit too, but not too much.

Former Canucks star Todd Bertuzzi arrested for DUI
-AJ- replied to cuporbust's topic in Canucks Talk
Yeah, but those pansies wore helmets. And what about back in the 40s and 50s when goalies didn't wear masks like babies. Things were better when players retired early due to concussions and other injuries. -
I believe both Sutter and Beagle bring valuable leadership, but Sutter brings a lot more to the game in terms of his actual play. He's a strong defensive player and also has some offensive potential, where Beagle is all defense and not much else. Sutter is also 3.5 years younger than Beagle.

This brings back so many memories of my childhood. I remember singing along to this as a young boy. Good times.

Heinen was a pretty good rookie in 2017-18, Boeser's rookie year. Had 47 points in 77 games as a 22-year old. Unfortunately, that was his best year offensively and he's fallen off a bit every year since then. At this rate, he looks good for about 30-35 points a year, but if can get back to that rookie form, he has top 6 potential. He's currently 25 years old and turns 26 in the summer. Drafted in the same year as Virtanen, but in the 4th round. Definitely more of a playmaker than a goal scorer. Also struggling this a bit this year with just 6 points in 17 games, though that's obviously better than Virtanen's 1 point in 19 games.
-
I can see the resemblance, but it's probably helped by the fact that glasses hide his eyes.

Virtanen has 1 point in 19 games. You're not going to get much for him at this point. Heinen is only a year older and has been trending downward a bit, but still produces decently.

[Discussion] Realistic Value of Quinn Hughes
-AJ- replied to Warhippy's topic in Proposals and Armchair GM'ing
Do you really need to call him out to spark a flame? Just let it rest and don't stir up trouble. -
I'd honestly be down with that trade.

[Discussion] Realistic Value of Quinn Hughes
-AJ- replied to Warhippy's topic in Proposals and Armchair GM'ing
It's so hard to place a value on him at this point, but it would be a ton. Of course, as @Teemu Selänne says, if we were to actually trade him, it would have to involve overpayment due to how critical he is to our team. As far as his value, distinct from how much we need him, I'd say two unprotected 1sts, a good rookie/sophomore player (19-22 y/0 middle six/2nd pairing), and 23-28 y/o middle six/2nd pairing defenseman might be about right. Add more to that for us to trade him since we need Hughes so badly. Using the Blackhawks as an example, it might be (straight value, not a realistic actual trade): To Van: Kubalik (21 years old - borderline 1st line winger) 2021 1st 2022 1st Murphy (27 years old - 2/3 defenseman) To Chi: Hughes A more realistic actual trade (from VAN's perspective) might be: To Van: Kubalik (21 years old, borderline 1st line winger) 2021 1st 2022 1st Murphy (27 years old - 2/3 defenseman) Boqvist (20 years old - 3/4 defenseman) To Chi: Hughes Eriksson (no retention) Roussel (no retention) I don't think Chicago agrees to the 2nd above trade though. -
Move on. We all know he's not as good as a #6 should be and most of us figured that out about two or three years ago. Stop living in the past whining about him not being the next Bertuzzi. Just accept him as a bottom six guy and live in the present instead of complaining about how he's not as good as we wanted him to be when he was drafted 7 years ago.

Another strong game for Demko in a loss. His game seems to be improving a bit, but frustratingly, now we can't seem to support him often enough.
-
His penchant used to be for drawing tons of penalties. He always took quite a few, but drew more than he took. Now he just takes tons of penalties and doesn't draw as many.

Montreal had ENOUGH & Fires Coach - Why Can't We ?
-AJ- replied to RU SERIOUS's topic in Canucks Talk
Julien has a reputation for getting fired from good teams. From what I've heard players do not generally like him, so when things go south, he's gone very fast. -
Your options are a bit too dichotomous for me. I don't think there's a very realistic chance that we make the playoffs, and I would not like to be buyers at the deadline, but the only assets of value we have to sell are good young players that I'm not really willing to give up for draft picks etc. Hockey trades are fine IMO, but I don't think we need to be buying 30-year old players nor do we need to be selling guys like Miller for 1st round picks etc. I don't think any of the many scapegoats we have hold much value, so I don't think that unless we're trading legitimately good pieces, we're getting any new young players/draft picks.

Our 2nd unit has definitely been a weakness. I don't have the stats on that, but I'm almost certain you're right in that it's been very poor. The 1st unit has been pretty decent I think.

If I understood correctly, it's not an injury, but a condition he's live with for a long time or perhaps his whole life. I don't have any sources though, so I might just be talking out of my butt.

I'm not sure I'd describe it as "ice cold". It's currently 20th in the NHL and, outside of the first four games, where we had no special teams ability whatsoever for some reason, it's running at about 21.8%, which would put it at the middle of the pack. I'm not saying it's a strong powerplay, but ice cold is a bit too extreme a description IMO.

I've heard that he has some sort of medical issue that restricts how much food he can eat or something. Probably has a lot to do with his sleight frame.
-
He's getting paid next to nothing and hasn't been played, not by his own choice. He was also injured during the start of the season. I'm not sure how you can place the blame on him for that.
