  1. I personally think Demko's current value is somewhere between 15-25 in the first round.
  2. The "comparable" comment I made was misconstrued. What I meant by that was that of the players you named, only Stecher was around when Tryamkin was last on the team. We haven't seen how Tryamkin compares to the other guys since he's been in Russia for the last three years. The risk would be in Benning planning his D-corps around Tryamkin being an NHL-calibre defenceman instead of relying on more certain knowledge. If we leave a spot for Tryamkin as the #4 or #5 guy and it turns out he's more of a #8, we've just screwed ourselves over. Fantenberg wasn't a risk, because he was slotted as the #7 guy and we weren't counting on him to be a top 4 defender or anything like that.
  3. I'm not sure Demko is quite worth a #9 pick yet, but with more performances like last night's he'll get there. I'd consider a deal like that.
  4. Dumba is having a pretty off year right now, which makes the deal a lot more risky. Add to that the fact that Dumba's 3 years older and I'd be pretty hesitant to go forward with it.
  5. I think the biggest thing is that Boeser started his NHL career instantly a 1st line player. Most of these guys had much slower starts but eventually became incredible players.
  6. Hopefully, but let's not pretend that moving away from stars to 3rd liners wouldn't affect almost everyone in the league.
  7. I'M COMPLAINING TOO 1ST IN THE DIVISION ARGGGGGGGHHHHHH Yeah you've already done this. Refer to your own thread.
  8. We have some tired players out I think, Stecher particularly. Hopefully we can get a change.
  9. I will openly admit I had Hughes ranked probably around 9 - 11...something about a small body or something...
  10. I think the main perk is easy integration with many systems--every program can communicate with other programs. I've never used it much, but I was at a place where we were considering it.
  11. I haven't certainly made that decision yet. I certainly want to see what we have in Tryamkin, but counting on him to be NHL-calibre for certain is too risky imo. With those three players, I think there's a possibility Tryamkin can play at their level, but it really grinds my gears when people expect Tryamkin to replace Tanev, as Tanev is in a higher echelon.
