  1. Let's be honest, if I wasn't a mod, I'd be a 5.
  2. This is a throwback to 2014 white noise.
  3. 2 points in his first game back; now has 12 points in 8 games in Utica. Worth noting that while he was in Vancouver, he had the highest Corsi on the entire team and the Canucks had a 0% shooting percentage 5v5 while he was on the ice. Basically, it means he was insanely unlucky and the points were likely to start coming eventually. I support our coaching staff, but I still don't understand why he's not being given more of a chance. Give him top 6 minutes for 3 or 4 games in a row and I think we'd see production.
  4. I'm not going to disagree that it was a bad game for him, but you can't weigh everything on one game.
  5. I think you're bang on here. If Peter's is unapologetic, then he's completely toast. If he's changed and regrets what he's done, then it would be a nice sign that people can change and improve and I would be fine with him remaining in the NHL.
  6. I think @bree2's point is that Peters may have changed in the last 10 years and regrets his actions and words, not that it was acceptable 10 years ago.
  7. My picks for the Hart Trophy so far:

    1. J. Carlson

    2. N. MacKinnon

    3. C. McDavid

    4. B. Marchand

    5. E. Pettersson

I would almost have JT Miller on that list for Vancouver. He ha been extremely valuable to this team.

My vote for the Hart Trophy would going to several people:

StealthNuck, AJ, Vintage Canuck, b3, debluvscanucks, diesel_3, Monty, Roger Neilsons Towel, Templeton Peck.

(yes, this is what you call the supreme sucking up to authority post :P).

      No Carter HART :P...

  8. I'd much rather send Eriksson down, but it's asset management. Baertschi has until Dec 1 before he'd have to clear waivers again.
  9. Yeah. I'm not going to say he should be fired or anything yet. Even if it's true, given it was 10 years ago, it's possible he regrets his actions and wouldn't do the same today. Reminds me a bit of the Trudeau situation, except that was 20 years, not 10.
  10. Weird that it took 10 years to come up, but maybe he was worried about backlash or something. If true, Peters should answer for his actions. Completely unacceptable behaviour if that is indeed how he referred to Aliu.
  11. Fun Fact: The record for the most powerplay points in a rookie season as a Canuck goes to Brock Boeser, with 23 powerplay points (62 games) (Petey had 22 in 71 games). The record for the most powerplay points by a rookie defenseman is a tie between Dale Tallon (78 games) and Dennis Kearns (73 games), with 17 each. Hughes has 13 in 24 games.
  12. Feels like a parent cleaning a dirty diaper sometimes, eh?
  13. A little plain, but I like the clean look. Has some neat vintage vibes too.
  14. Possibly, but my work doesn't always allow for situations where I can tune everyone else out and put some headphones on.
  15. Alas, 4pm means I'm missing this entire game while I'm at work, except for maybe the last little bit.
  16. Bortuzzo is working his way into Wilson territory with these suspensions. Also reminds me of Lucic the way he frequently loses his cool and does stupid stuff when he doesn't get his way.
  17. You're bang on with both Ferland and Motte. Their hits-per-game this year are quite a bit above Jake's 1.6 hits-per-game. Roussel obviously hasn't played this year, but surprisingly, he had less than Virtanen at just 1.3 hits-per-game last year. I think Rooster's game is more about energy and pestering opponents than constant hitting.
  18. Tons of players have done it before. It's not like Quinn is the first guy to ever push a teammate from behind--it's just that he's done it twice now in a relatively small time frame and had it be very effective both times.
  19. To be honest, I'm not as sold on Podkolzin as a lot of others are. I think he'll make the show, but I don't expect him to be a star. I'm higher on Hoglander right now actually. I'm getting pretty high on Rafferty too, but he's 24 years old so I'm not sure he counts really. Woo is falling down my list as of late. Lind has saved his bacon with a stronger start in Utica this year, but Gadjovich has had injuries. Palmu sneaks in because even though he's probably working his way out our system, he's dominating the SM-Liiga this year. My list: 1. Juolevi 2. Hoglander 3. Podkolzin 4. Dipietro 5. Lind 6. Rathbone 7. Madden 8. Woo 9. Focht 10. Palmu All in all, our prospect list is dramatically worse than it has been recently, but I'm not at all worried, because that's due to so many recent "graduates" from the "prospect" category.
  20. Eventually, I could definitely see it. This year? That would be legendary. But possible. He's that good.
  21. Yeah, it surprised me when I first learned of how good Tallon's rookie campaign was. You hear so much negative talk about him, I had assumed he was a bust until I did my research. Does kind of make you wonder if he'd be a Canuck legend had he stayed in Vancouver and scored maybe 300+ points in our colours.
  22. Petey's on pace for 100 points. If that's underachieving, I can't imagine what your standards for him must be.
