  1. I'm really baffled at how many people think Petey is starting off slow. He had 66 points in 71 games last year for a points-per-game of 0.930. This year he has 10 points in 9 games so far for a points-per-game of 1.111. I have to assume it's the 2 goals that are making people freak out, but I wouldn't look past his 8 assists.
  2. I think that rating system does a poor job at taking in the finer parts of the game. Tanev is usually pretty low too.
  3. Blegh, I'm gonna miss this one. Work and then the gym after work. Might catch the tail end on the screen at the gym though.
  4. One after clearing waivers though? He looked to be an NHL-calibre guy.
  5. Rough start for Sbisa. Prior to this year, he was pretty decent for a few years there.
  6. I have Quinn followed very closely by Vigneault.
  7. Agreed. Goldie has struggled to prove he can be consistent over a full year, but Baertschi has consistently scored at about a 20-goal pace over the last three years. Although their values will increase with their dominance, there's only so much a team will pay for AHL dominance from an "older" player (not a prospect), and it's not much. While it bodes very well, I don't expect that AHL dominance will do too much for their stock. Teams acquiring either player would be doing so with the hope of using them in the NHL at some point.
  8. Crazy hard to pick. I went with Bertuzzi, but all of these guys are near the top of my list: Bertuzzi Naslund Hank Danny Luongo Hamhuis Mitchell Edler Burrows Linden I suspect all three of Horvat, Boeser, and Pettersson will make their way up there in time.
  9. One of my pet peeves is when people pronounce Lundqvist's name "Lund-quist". Where do they get the "u" from?

    3. Baer.

      Baer.

Wait until I tell you about Patrik Hornqvist....

  10. He's had flashes, but hasn't had any season over a 45-point pace yet. At his age, it's likely his ceiling is 50 points.
  11. Prior to this year, I believed Gaudette was still pretty far away, but now I think he's getting pretty close. Just wait for a bit and he'll fill in for the role nicely.
  12. We could see how good he was in that he made Kenins look like an actual NHL player. Horvat always makes his teammates play better.
  13. Welp. Two points looks the same at the end of the year I guess. Petey is heating up I notice. 7 Points in his last 6 games.
  14. Definitely feels like the second half of a morning back-to-back on the East coast. About the worst situation you could find yourself in during the regular season. Not really surprising at all that we're gassed at this point.
  15. Two great blocks by Motte. Tanev also with amazing positioning in that shift to help.
  16. Genuinely doesn't feel like we're playing bad. Just feels like the Rangers are playing like it's game 7 of the Stanley Cup Finals.
  17. Sounds like this are going nuts, but don't worry guys, I've arrived so things will swing back in our favour now.
  18. Agreed, he's never been a top 6 player really--just a third line guy who was able to mesh with top players. If he doesn't mesh with the top players, which so far he isn't in Vancouver, he's only going to produce at a third line level, which would be about 30-35 points.
  19. I have a very hard time seeing the team resisting the lure of Baertschi's dominance if he keeps it up. Goldy has done this before and not succeeded much in the NHL, so I could see him being left down in Utica, but Baer has had success in the NHL, so we know he can translate his skill.
