  1. He's probably worth about a 5th or 6th rounder at best right now and tbh, probably has almost 0 value at this point in the year, especially because keen GMs will know he might be available for free on waivers. Maybe 10 games into the season and he'll have actual value due to the waivers rush being over.
  2. He's not in trouble yet. He'll be in trouble if the NHL does something about it after. Just being ejected from the game is nothing big yet.
  3. C'mon Canucks...I need to know your decisions so I can make my post in the CDC Time Capsule thread before it's closed.

Benning hears you, he don't care

I saw Green walking in the Olympic Village today, he looked pretty relaxed if that helps.

      What a &^@#ing jerk

  4. I think it was worth giving him another pre-season to try to show his stuff. He did improve last year for sure, so it'd be weird to give up even though he was under performing. His pre-season was irritating to me though. He lost his job at the end of last year and I would've hoped he would play with more fire given that his NHL dreams are at stake.
  5. Nothing out of the ordinary for regular season games and the same goes for playoff games, but during the playoffs, I wear Canucks paraphernalia more often and have my flag waving from my car window.
  6. Seven year deal, eh? Expecting big money here. Will probably give us an idea of what Boeser would've had on a long deal.
  7. Decent price given that this isn't a bridge deal. Is Connor the only big RFA left now?
  8. Well I was making a distinction between the biggest "change" and the biggest effect. Completely remove Tanev and Hughes vs completely remove EP and Boeser. Which one has a bigger effect?
  9. The biggest change will probably be either adding a bonafide top six guy in Miller or adding Hughes with Tanev, but I think the biggest overall effect will be EP and Boeser. I expect them to finish 1-2 in scoring again.
  10. This is one of the most difficult things I've ever decided on in the realm of the Canucks (thank goodness I'm not the one making the actual decision). After sleeping on this last night, I've flip-flopped and joined the majority now I think. I think Gaudette should be given an NHL chance, but in such a way that both Beagle and Sutter can remain on the team.
  11. Alas it's the Hockey Hall of Fame and not the Canadian Hockey Hall of Fame. Henderson was a good, but not amazing player outside of that goal. What he did was legendary, but only two countries cared about it (and one of them wasn't happy about it). In a similar vein, none of the 1980 US Olympic Team players are in the Hockey Hall of Fame, as only a few of them went on to have good NHL careers. All that said, the '72 Summit Series is one of those things I wish I had been alive to see. But then of course I'd be over 20 years older now, so there's a trade off I suppose.
  12. It's an easy enough mistake to make. You'd think Hockey Fights would separate out CHL from NHL fights in some way. Two NHL fights, for anyone wondering, both back in 2015-16.
  13. I will be over the moon if he lights up the Oilers.
  14. So is then a full NTC less powerful than a limited NTC? Suppose a player has a limited NTC where he can choose only 5 teams to which he can be traded. Is this not the same as a full NTC, but "limited" in the sense that they player has to allow trades to any of those five teams? Since when is a limited NTC more powerful than a full NTC?
  15. He had the right to restrict it as much or as little as he wanted. That's why there's a difference between a limited NTC and a full NTC, like Kesler had.
  16. Stands for No Trade Clause. Means he cannot be traded unless he permits it. Anyone with such a clause absolutely has all the right in the world to exercise it.
  17. Those deals weren't bridge deals. Entirely different contract structure.
  18. Low risk 2- year deal. Still too much imo, but only two years, so it won't hurt that much.
  19. The age makes sense, but based on what I saw last year, I didn't expect him to be a point per game player in the pre-season. He's improved more than I expected he would.
  20. The only way I see Gaudette making the team is as a winger (if they want to do that) or in case of injuries, because I still don't see Sutter or Beagle being sent to waivers. I think this pre-season has perhaps elevated him to one of our top prospects now who has shown the offensive flair we all wanted, but I don't feel like there's a place for him on this team unless a trade happens or he somehow waits for Sutter's contract to end. I'm almost wondering how high his value is now and if we could get a prime defensive prospect or maybe even a mid-1st round pick in return for him at this point. It's kind of a shame, because in two or three years, the timing would be perfect, but in a sick twist of timing, he's ready earlier than we thought he'd be.
  21. Yeah, he's gone IMO. Wouldn't mind him staying if Utica if he's willing to put the work in there. He's proven he's an AHL star of a level similar to Boucher, so he could still be very useful down there.
  22. I think that hits Chatfield's skate. Block the shot or get out of the way.
  23. Leivo has been pretty good tonight actually.
  24. "Ferme la bouche kin" I love our commentators.
