  1. I think this was because many posters forgot how good Torres was for a few years. He scored well over 20 goals in at least one year I believe.
  2. It's pretty common for Canada to overload on centres and play some of them on wing since we have so many good centres.
  3. Toews is the only one of those three I would even consider putting Horvat over. Benn produces much more and Couturier is one of the best defensive forwards in the league in my opinion, along with his great offense. He has a vague chance of being ahead of Toews and Benn if they regress into their early 30s, but at this point, he's got some tough competition.
  4. Doing that at 5'10" reminds me of Cooke when he was a Canuck. Let's hope he can keep it clean like Cooke did as a Canuck (not after he was a Canuck, obviously).
  5. Ahahah, that is hilarious. He does have shades of Burrows.
  6. If Vanek signs another one-year deal with Vancouver in the off-season, Benning will looking like a freakin' genius. He will have literally traded 20 games of Thomas Vanek for a prospect and a 20 games of a $1.1M deal and a prospect.

    2. Baer.

      Baer.

They won't anyways so I think at $2M each that's fair. If Daniel can get 15g 15a and Henrik get 5g 20a that's fine with me.

@Baer. I wouldn't mind re-signing the twins, but if Henrik is getting 25 points, he'd be better off retiring. If they can still be 50-point players, I'd love to keep them for another year.

    4. Baer.

      Baer.

I was being conservative with those numbers. I think if they can put up 30+ points they are worth keeping, considering the Canucks are not competitive

  7. Canada is stacked...the only way Horvat would make the team is if he continues to improve or if they need a big body for fourth line duties.
  8. Holy cow...300+ members on and over 1500 guests on CDC.

@PhillipBlunt Vanek trade thread only reached 15 pages in 30 minutes.

  9. I would be in favour of looking at Archibald as a permanent NHL player for us for the next little while.
  10. It's possible, but that would require him reaching 30 goals, with 12 goals in the last 20 games, which would be a feat reminiscent of his glory days.
  11. It's almost looking like he'll get that one before the Bure goal record at this rate.
  12. Good game by Pouliot tonight. I've been critical of him lately, but he performed well tonight.
  13. I thought Sutter played well tonight. Battled hard and created several chances on is own.
  14. Can we call this a legitimate hot streak now? 5 goals and 8 points in his last six games.
  15. Cogliano and Hansen come to mind, though both are getting on in years now, so may not be as fast anymore.
  16. Well, that's what it took for us to get them.
  17. Daniel has six points (3 goals, 3 assists) in his last five games. Definitely pushing for that 11th career 20-goal season.
  18. Baertschi has 5 points in his last 4 games (2 goals, 3 assists). A good streak for him.
  19. Just found out that we're shutting down at 3, which is nice.
  20. Yeah. Fortunately, it's only a 10-12 minute drive under normal circumstances through the city. Still, I do have to go down and up some noteworthy hills, so that could be interesting.
  21. It's hard for me to get much done at home and I don't think they have a policy in place for working from home. I'd just prefer that they just tell us to leave for the day, lol.
  22. Hoo boy, it's getting crazy here in Abbotsford. Probably up to 4 inches in some spots and still going fast. Some co-workers have left early, but I've only been given permission to do so if I make up the hours some other day. Crossing my fingers that it gets so nuts that they just send the whole office home instead.
  23. Precisely, though a bit colder.
  24. Boucher's tied Archibald's single-season goal record at 23 goals, except Boucher's done it in 40 games compared to Archie's 76 games.
