I would pity you guys except you have all that talent up front and 2 Stanley Cups to boast about.

Vancouver? Ageing talent and 44 years with no Stanley Cups.

Or the 15 shots to 40? Leafs all year last year.

The sad thing is even when we were a basement team I never saw them play quite this poorly. It's not just the shots. It's the constant turnovers and just general lackadaisical play. No one gives a crap out there.

  4. Iggy gets the A. Good choice. Wish McLeod would do the right thing and give his up for Duchene. Poor guy can't buy a letter.

  5. Managed to sneak up on Gabe and Jake and take a picture of them almost cuddling.
  6. This is my new little guy Gabe. He's freakishly hard to get pictures of. He seems to think the camera is something for him to play with no matter how far away you are.
  7. Nope. He had a NMC. Doesn't have to go on waivers.
  8. Yes! Please buy him out! Please Sakic just pay the man what he wants. He's exactly the player we need to help the D. Can't leave all the puck moving to Barrie. Pretty sure the reason was the insane recapture penalties the Sabres would have incurred if he retired early. They could have had 10 million in dead space one year right when they should be ready to really compete. Probably made it clear he didn't want to be there anymore as well.
  9. No, it doesn't. That's a terrible deal. At this point O'Reilly is better than Kesler and doesn't come with anywhere near the injury concerns and baggage. O'Reilly is Roy's favourite player and it's already long since been reported it would take a huge overpayment to get him out of Denver. Vancouver isn't getting O'Reilly for Kesler unless a younger top 4 D is coming back as well. There's absolutely no incentive to trade him even if Stastny re-signs. Parenteau or McGinn and picks/prospects will be moved first and for D not an over the hill injury prone center.
  10. That doesn't make it any less ridiculous. It's a Canadian team at home in the conference finals on a Saturday. Should be on at 7 ET for regular primetime HNIC. Not in the bloody afternoon/morning. Brutal. NBC already gets their way with Sunday afternoon hockey. There's no need to extend that any further.
  11. Seriously, big eff you to NBC for the game being at 10 AM. That's BS.
  12. Served him right for throwing another questionable hit on Oduya today.
  13. I'm still convinced that even if we won game 7 we would have been swept but it still would have been crazy entertaining and exciting hockey. Looking forward to seeing each other in the playoffs for years to come in the very near future though.
  14. Hope we get to see the Hawks and the Habs in the finals. Big thanks to Chicago. Couldn't be more pleased to see the Wild and more importantly Cooke knocked out.
  15. No they won't. There's a good reason that you never see teams that went to 7 games in each of the first two rounds win the conference finals.
  16. Can't just rely on the fans of both teams to drive up the ratings. Limiting your audience/ignoring segments is never a good idea.
  17. People who aren't fans of either team and want to see exciting hockey. It's not like it's working great for them anyways since they've been shutout in consecutive games by Fleury of all people.
  18. Losing Barrie just killed our transition game. As much as everyone was raving about Mack, Barrie played a huge role in the tying and winning goals in game one. Cooke for Barrie is a trade the Wild will make every time and it worked wonders for them. I give them full credit for being absolutely dominant for large parts of this series and they deserved to win based on the run of play but it will always leave a foul taste in my mouth because of that hit. Maybe they still pull this off without it and maybe they don't. Somehow lost in the whole thing was Cooke's attempted elbow to the head of Mack in game 3. It certainly looked like he was out to take out an important player to help his team and it worked. Johnson has been great all year and sure picked a terrible time to just completely fall apart. Foote and Roy have just done wonders for his game and I'm confident he'll rebound and prove he really is a top pairing guy. He needs help on that back end. I think part of the problem was having to play him way more minutes that he should be. The D had a collective 12 games of playoff experience and it showed. Need to get him a better partner than Hejda or if he continues to play out of his mind then someone to play with Barrie. Would love to get a guy like Ehrhoff. Someone who can bring that puck moving element to to the top pairing as well.
  19. Hope the Hawks sweep and Cooke injures himself trying to throw a dirty hit and can never play again.
  20. They do but this is just the ultimate fail for a team that was supposed to be a contender. They need major changes. As bad as their D is anyone would be an improvement over Guenin, Benoit, and Wilson.
  21. Yea. The upside of this loss is it has to force Sakic and Roy to go out and get some veteran top 4 D as insurance. Maybe someone from San Jose will be available given this epic collapse. Varly needed to be better today but he bailed us out all year and it's high time to get him some help.
