  1. Arizona because they have a guy who can do all the little things and is an empty net specialist.
  2. The world is a tragedy to those who feel, but a comedy to those who think. Horace Walpole
  3. I wonder when our 2 wonderkids sign how long will the CDC crash last for? An hour? 2 hours?

@Ghostsof1915 JB could sign both for 8 x 925k and Squam will still find something to bitch about

When EP40 signs the streets in Van city will melt

  4. I remember watching the Deeside Dragons I think they were called as a kid. White and green unis with a red Cymric dragon
  5. The people who choose to trade Quinn Hughes. If people don't want to put vaccines in THEIR bodies that's their business but trading Hughes would affect millions of Canucks fans.
  6. Favourite restaurant would have to be An Indian Affair in Langley. As for 2 and 3, don't do either of them.
  7. I don't get the hate for Myers. Sure he's probably paid 1 million too much but he brings things to the team we need. Our internal cap structure should be fine going forward.
  8. If we have someone to step into Miller's shoes in terms of providing as you said, emotion, intensity, heart, and points then I could see management moving him at some point. It's likely Miller will be looking at one last big payday before he starts to decline. But those are problems for another season. For me, I'm looking forward to seeing what this bunch can do on the ice. GCG!
  9. But we don't want Horvat to have a career year because then he will expect more money. Isn't that how CDC works? Hope for the worst and then get angry when good things happen.
  10. I used to hate Jagr when he (and I) was younger. He seemed so cocky and arrogant. But over the years he's won me over. He seems to be a true team guy now. And STILL playing hockey at 49.

Jagr one of the few hockey players with a personality that transcends the game. A proper lad

And when 18 year old models try to blackmail him.

He's like. Uhhh...I'm not married you know that right?

  11. The 2011 team was the best Canucks team. But the 1994 team had the most character.
  12. The trails at Woodlot were fast today! Thank goodness the rain tamped down all that dust.

  13. Rathbone still goes down. Because he can. But he knows there will be injuries.
  14. Actually a lot of the reaction I've been reading from Canucks fans is about his "big step forward". As many posters have pointed out, the quality of the opposition last year was pretty brutal. Will Nurse be able to replicate last season once games outside the North division ramp up? That's a wait and see proposition I suppose.
  15. But that's just it. It shows how poorly these deals age. Unfortunately players have GMs over a barrel. You either offer your best players max term AND a boat load of money or risk losing them for nothing.
  16. I sure wouldn't bet against this team not making the playoffs. Especially in our weaker division.
  17. Umm Megadeth weren't good because Mustaine was a dick. In fact, quite the opposite. He fired Nick Menza while he was in the hospital, who was the perfect drummer for the band. His volatile personality has caused members to quit or be fired for no good reason. Oh and it also got him kicked out of a little band you may have heard of called Metallica. I also think (personal opinion here) that people like Mustaine, Danzig, etc with their arrogance start to believe they are infallible, that they can do no wrong and then drop turds on their fans. Think Supercollider and Risk. Autocratic rule only gets you so far before people get sick of it and want out. As for hockey, I agree I am sick of the Canucks turn the other cheek attitude. If someone goes after our star players (actually any of our players) I want to see that guy carried off on a stretcher.
  18. Umm no it wasn't. Been going to metal shows since the 80's. I don't want to see some drunken @sshole stumbling around onstage, forgetting the words when I'm shelling out my hard-earned cash. Live music is better now when almost everyone is a professional and saves any partying for after the show.
  19. yea just shows the entire pro-Boston narrative in the media that focused on Burrows biting the finger and not that someone shoved their smelly glove in his mouth. anyway, good on Burr. Would love to see him join the Canucks one day.
  20. I was just gonna make that comparison. Players aren't dumb. They know when they've made a bad play/pass. If I had someone screaming at me, especially in practice, for a little mistake, I'd quickly lose any and all respect for them. And telling your teammates what to eat? WTF is that about? And since Colorado hasn't won anything with Mackinnon, he needs to tone things down a bit. I'd end up punching him in the face if I was on that team.
  21. His beverage of choice, Haterade, gives him special insight. He gets so drunk on the stuff and then makes baseless comments about how Petey is mad we got rid of Dahlen.
  22. I saw all those numbers and my eyes glaze over. It's not you, OP. I appreciate the work that went into this. It's just that for me math is less a science and more a dark arcane art.
