  1. I do like the part of attacking the ruling class.
  2. The problem with choosing the lesser of two evils is that you're still choosing evil.

I’d still take the one on the right.

  3. So my takeaway from this is if we play St Louis all 82 games Garland will easily surpass Gretzky's single season point record.
  4. I don't think the Sutter signing will fly under the radar of good signings. I think everyone on CDC universally applauded that signing.
  5. Respect to him. Couldn't have been an easy decision. I'm sure the Czech Republic is beautiful.
  6. To be fair though almost all of his hits against Canucks were blatant charging/boarding. If the refs called the penalties like they're supposed to he'd have been in the box all the time, effectively neutralized, and thus we wouldn't have needed a response. And some of you are going to say well that's playoff hockey, deal with it, refs put the whistles away, etc. But to them I ask where does it say there is 1 rulebook for regular season and another for the playoffs? It doesn't. But I digress. I don't blame Micheal. Players will only do as much as the zebras let them get away with. I hope he can still enjoy a high quality of life even with all his concussion issues.
  7. What is this love affair some posters here have for collecting picks? If we trade Quinn and get back a first there's no guarantee he won't be a bust. You'll say but drafting is Benning's strong suit but he's had his share of misses too. Quinn is a known quantity, aka a potential star in the making. How many draft picks do we need to accumulate?
  8. I think with Shaw on board we will have a better defensive structure and won't bleed chances against.
  9. Well VC is probably enhanced AI and thus is plugged into phones, websites, etc and that's how he's able to get breaking news posted first.
  10. This might be the most excited I have been for a new season since 2011. I think we're going to be a very difficult team to play against.
  11. Having a backup who can actually win a few games is a big win.
  12. Well you're in luck. At this point he hasn't signed anything.
  13. I agree with the OP. As for the accusations of ownership meddling- pics or it didn't happen. Seriously. It's just hearsay without actual proof. I also appreciate FA's loyalty to Benning and not making a knee jerk reaction to certain moronic members of this fan base. I'm hoping their patience and dedication is rewarded with a Cup soon.
  14. And here I thought Alf was the drunk on these boards. What does that even mean?
  15. It's actually kind of sad if you can't get excited for our prospects and daydream about the goals they're going to score in the SCF. But hey, you do you.
  16. But dreaming about our prospects/players succeeding doesn't cost a penny. And in fact, I would say it increases a fan's happiness and stoke level.
  17. Better a dreamer than a cynic.
  18. Gods, man, it sounds like you can't wait for these guys to be shipped out! Why be so depressingly negative about next season when the puck hasn't even dropped yet? Especially when, on paper at least, we are a better team than last year.
  19. WTF?! What kind of creep lists Luc Bourdon (RIP) who died in an accident before he could realize his potential with players who didn't work out? Give your head a shake man.
  20. You know these are 18 tear old kids being scouted. If scouting was a sure thing there would be no Nail Yakupovs, or Alexei Yashins drafted. Love how you have to turn everything into a dig against Benning. Please just go cheer for some other team. So sick of your pointless negativity for the sake of being negative.
  21. I don't know? Do you? Do you have a crystal ball? Improvement is rarely a linear progression. Certain posters like to cry about holding onto assets too long, bringing up the Sedins and Edler as players who should have been traded, conveniently forgetting many had NTCs (thanks to Gillis, not Benning) and would not waive. Yes there were mistakes made along the way. Benning was learning on the job. Get over it already and quit crying about the past already. There's a new franchise down the I-5 you may want to cheer for instead.
