If Loui Eriksson stays what can make you come to terms with it?
JesseBlue replied to JM_'s topic in Canucks Talk
Yes, if we win the cup at the end of the year, I'm good. -
[Report] Ben Hutton to become UFA
JesseBlue replied to BertaNuck's topic in Trades, Rumours, Signings
I have a feeling that the oilers are sniffing at signing him -
He's still a good guy. Birthday blessings to you, Louie, if you're reading this.

and he signed for almost the league minimum...we couldn't sign him for 2 years at 1.6M total??
-
i don't think its wrong. with that said after boeser signs, we will.

[Signing] Lightning sign Luke Schenn
JesseBlue replied to -Vintage Canuck-'s topic in Trades, Rumours, Signings
i think the price is fair but i really wanted him to stay. He kept it simple and was somewhat good at it -
Tell me im wrong. Edler is Worth 5 years @ 7.5 - 8 million per
JesseBlue replied to Arrow 1983's topic in Canucks Talk
I think he wants to help out there Canucks in the long run if he signs for less than market value. With that said money ain't everything. Invest it properly and you get the same result -
Don't get me wrong, i like OJ too but there might be a minimum of 2 year wait before we'd see him in a canucks uniform. If the value is still there, then i would use it for a package. If there are more picks on the side to even it more, then so be it. There are more Stanley cup winners with a true stud at D. Ek will be up there. As an ufa, today will be my top priority. Edler will be the 2nd priority. Edler (if he re-signs) - EK Hughes - Dumba Hutton - Stecher Shelter the 2nd and 3rd pair. Tanev, as much as i like him too, will need be moved. Schenn/Biega will be 7th/8th.

Its not that i don't like BB6, heck, he's a great player. As an armchair architect of a team, you have to have a blueprint of what you want to accomplish. My take is to build a solid defence as i think we have a solid goal tending now. As someone already posted, you have to give to receive. You might have to first ask for minimal for Dumba, like would they go for a player to player trade and go from there. The suggestion that i have is ultimately the highest price i'll pay

I'm looking at it in a way where Ehrhoff added offence from the back end. It seems that teams know how to defend us too much. Shut down the three forwards and there will be no offence. Having a team where goals can come from all over the place will be a boon. Hard to gauge on what value to put it but adding a sweetener (Benning special) will start the conversation from the wild's perspective. Just a one for one deal will not get that far and i think Dumba has more value and cost controlled.

Thanks for the feedback. I know the value of a Dman is higher than a winger is greater this trying to entice but adding another high end prospect that may turn out good/great. This also is a first part where you might do it if Karlsson is a target during free agency. The next year when /if tree scones back, then we'll have a revamped defense that is probably better than it ever was. Losing BB6 would suck but to me is a price I'm willing to pay. Thank goodness I'm not the GM hey?

My first proposal so please be gentle. Boeser and Juolevi for Dumba and 2nd. I like building from the net out and this is just a stepping stone. Part two would be a signing of another significant D man to this market... Ready for the constructive feedback. TY

(Rumour) Poolparty wants out of Edmonton
JesseBlue replied to Nucksfollower1983's topic in Trades, Rumours, Signings
That's crazy. I think his value is somewhere similar to Jake's caphit. If the oilers but in a 3rd rounder, then great, that's the highest the nucks should offer. -
[Speculation] Boeser not close to extension
JesseBlue replied to Patrick Jane's topic in Canucks Talk
The negotiations and professional opinions come from his agent. I hope that Brock would be better than that and just go for a canuck friendly number. -
Lets open this to discussion Mike Gillis returning President
JesseBlue replied to aqua59's topic in Canucks Talk
heck yes -
Reading through this thread, people don't like it if we get a great player and perhaps make the playoffs. It's all about getting the highest draft pick. What the team needs are finding gems in the later rounds and the possibility of getting top tier talent at no extra cost besides actual dollars that isn't mine/yours anyways.

Having a healthy Baertschi is the scorer that we need and already have. I'd much rather spend the free agent money getting a stud defenceman like EK65 or convince the tree to come back. Enough of the middling/bottom forwards and mediocre pieces. But what do i know? Im not the gm

I just noticed there is another Connor Mc.. in the draft .. i hope he uses 97

Bringing him in as the team president will do wonders to the club again. he has a vision and will also use team culture to move everyone to the same direction. With that said, keep benning and company too -
JB: I’ll make the phone call about the 1st overall pick
JesseBlue replied to Generational.EP40's topic in Canucks Talk
I don't see the value of acquiring Hughes as a winger. Nevermind the excuse of depth, you have to play him at the center position if you'll be throwing mad proposals like I've seen in this thread. Personally, I'd go for Kakkoo or stay put at 10 and motivate the guy they pick how he should have gone #1 -
i saw this last year but didn't really click on it not knowing how fun it could be. Thanks and also looking forward for next season
