I am willing to bet that EP's and BB's shot percentage remain in the "elite" level category....so unless he's shooting 50% or some crazy amount like that..I think is only get's better from here ( in the SHL for sure ).
-
...if we get EP's thread locked...he might not like that very much....
-
Well EP seems in control of the SHL and keeping track of his points in that league is now secondary to the number we are all hoping to see him grow....Lbs.,... ....we need a pound tracker on him....
-
That would have been a charging/boarding call if he was on the Canucks....
-
Second unit PP....that's Brocks spot on the first unit...but that was a quality one timer!
-
From the above video... EP was the best player on the ice...every shift. Elias knows where to go and gets there on time...he looked like the fastest player on the ice most of the time. EP was 3 strides behind the play and way off to the side at the offensive blueline (play at 7:00 min.) but by the time the puck carrier hit the defensive blueline EP knocked the puck off his stick. The one and only thing Elias needs to dominate next year in the NHL....is 8-10 Lbs of muscle...he doesn't need to be 200 Lbs...175 Lbs. to start next year and 185 in his prime would be perfect.
-
From the image above EP has 31 points in 23 games.....That is thirty-one points in twenty-three games....we are approaching stupid good here.... The sky may not be the limit.....
-
....who's this now...?
-
I agree but I don't think the Sedins would be traded ...or should be traded and I would put Gagner near the top of that list ( at least as far as players we don't need). The Sedins should either retire this year or come back for one more year at less than $3M and expect to get 10-12 minutes a game.... EP and BB are the replacements but Goldy and Dahlen will likely be just as good a pair by next year ...so we have 2 sets of replacements for them really. Go EP Go....
-
That's more in line with what I have seen from him in pre-season and junior's....he has decent hands, but more for shooting, banging rebounds in and short passes....not for stick handling through people....wonder why he was trying to do that to much....?
-
I didn't mean to entice a riot....I want him back...but he really should consider the suburbs or country living when he comes back....that should clear the air....so to speak....
-
The last paragraph in the above interview (below) just goes to show...Try's only real problem was not getting a basement suite or country home.... NT: Yes, that aspect exists. They smoke weed everywhere. The city was like in the fog. Everywhere you go it’s not just smell, it really stinks of weed. Sometimes we could smell it from our place at the tenth floor

That sounds like his goal total for an average year...once he get's going....40 get's my vote as well....EP is going to be the prototypical 40/60 man....and BB is looking like 60/40 isn't out of the question...!!!

EP thread....and as soon as Stecher get's his confidence back...watch out...as for Hutton...either one really...they get no PP time and they are on the ice with the 3 and 4th line a lot wihich means passing to Gagner...and on to the other team from there.... They both will be better from here out expect to see Stecher in particular ...take off and Hutton just needs to mature a bit more...we are talking about a sophmore that is only a few games into his 2nd year and a junior with a few more games into his 3rd year... EP will turn those 2 into Bobby Orr....okay....how about Scott Neidermeyer (sp)....
-
...he meant 4th round pick...I assume...
-
Stecher has got some of the same skills as Butcher...maybe not quite as fast...which is a big deal...but still Stecher can skate, he can deke out defender's to hold the blueline (unlike Edler) and he is one of the smartest D. in the defensive zone as well...it is just his 2nd year and he was injured for most of it so far. Stecher just needs to build his confidence up and get on the first unit PP instead of Edler...then watch him soar.... I am not sure if he will be a poor man's #2 D or a rich man's #3 D but I do think he pans out in that range and I do think he can get the puck to EP and BB which is all he needs to do to "affect" a #1D in points and TOI and any other metric for that matter. Go EP ...you da man....
-
I would take Stecher over Edler any day...Stecher is on the way up and he is capable of much more than what we have seen ...Edler has been better this year but is a turnover machine in the offensive end, can't get his point shot through...ever...and doesn't score anymore. Best case scenario is we Package Edler, Gagner and maybe Vanek for a 1st round pick and maybe a couple of 2nd round picks....then we draft 2-3 D. with those picks and our own first round pick.... If we pick in the 10-20 range and we get another !st pick in the same range, then we draft 2 of Merkeley, Woo, Smith or Dobson ...out of those 2 and Joulevi we should have a #1 and a #2 D. Elias and Brock are only going to need Juolevi and Stecher to make the rest of the league petition Bettman for yet more stringent calls to made against us by the Ref's. in a desperate attempt to keep the cup in the USA or maybe Toronto ...of the payola is right.... EP is the real thing I can see that...just like with Brock 2 years ago when I had seen enough of him to know that he could have made our team last year...(glad he didn't though) That is another reason to get EP over here for next year...to max. out the contract overlap for these 2 and Bo....not that EP wouldn't force his way on to the team next year anyway.....
-
Joulevi and Stecher will do....but we will pick up a first round D. this year almost for sure, there are so many good ones available and at least 3-4 who will likely become #1's in Dahlin, Boqvist, Hughes, Merkely and Wilde...maybe Woo too......
-
You guys are funny...always trying to bring me back down to earth...ain't going to happen.... No way I'm letting them become who they become....because they already are....I am just observing and reporting what will become the facts....just watch.... ...but you folks carry on hand wringing and trying to keep from being disappointed.....
-
....we could have 2 generational players on our team next year....Brock is a lock for the Calder and currently tied with Sid and Ovi in the scoring race with 3 less games played... EP will be even better.... I predict we have two 100 point men in 2 years time with these 2... Bo is going to be a rock solid 60 point man and Goldy is looking like a PPG player and if Baer can ever get consistent game to game, he might be 60 point guy too. Cup contention in 2 years time, playoffs next year for sure and maybe this year....
-
I want Goldy to play ...but that line sounds like a possible disaster...at least right now....Granlund's confidence is way down there so even the offensive side of that line could be tragic ...but on D. I think they would get eaten up, maybe later in the year when they have all played more. To start I think Goldy needs to be with 2 veterans and one of those should be able to score...Vanek or Eriksson with Sutter or Granlund and Goldy might work
-
I wanted Ottawa's Stone the year he was drafted...he looked like a man among boys...and still does pretty much....Gadjovich is a similar player with the same sort of upside that Stone had and now Stone is a PPG player that can shut down people as well.... Dad is a dude to be reckoned with...
-
...we'll see in the morning... Just play the dude Greener it won't hurt you or the team to sit Burmistrov or Gagner and Vanek has fallen off the last couple of games as well....let the Gold one play...
-
...hmmm...sounds a bit fishy to me....is he back at the old hot spot...in disguise....
-
Kole Lind is having a tough time....I hope it isn't that Strepp (throat ?) that has been causing some deaths in B.C. !!!
