Hunter wouldn't know a talented player if he ate one.....Lind takes the puck away from the other team...so he doesn't have to play D.,...
-
I was thinking of Team Canada needing a LW like Gadjovich and must have been stuck on LW in my mind...yes Lind is Right wing ...although on the PP he plays the left sidewall.
-
...and I don't know what you are trying to say with all that...but frankly scarlet...I don't give a big rat's arse what weight you put on my opinion....
-
A guy could get married and have a baby while the tourney is going on....those Euro's....
-
I said "at this point in time" ...here is the copy paste of what you quoted: ...I pick Lind over Glass ...at this point in time....10 times out of 10....
-
....I thought I was Jesus.... Lind is every bit as good as Glass ...but it is apples to oranges as it is Winger vs. Center....guess what...we need a LW just like Lind...\ Given that....I pick Lind over Glass ...at this point in time....10 times out of 10.... Lind is smarter than Glass, I can see that already...in a years time the difference's will become more apparent....Glass is good at retrieving loose pucks....Lind is good at creating those loose pucks by hard "smart" checking and then he is capable of hanging on to the puck longer than Glass can by using his smarts. The brain is a powerful thing ...those that can use it at speed ...will thrive...that is what we are starting to collect here....smart, fast player's

DiPietro is ripping it up and will make the team...that is a "LOCK".....Gadjovich is a LW with size and truculence Team Canada does not have anyone like him on the left side....he is a lock in my mind anyway. LInd is a Lock....did you watch him play both games? ....no way he is left off the team..... See what I do is watch the games and watch the specific players that I am interested in....that way I can tell who is talented and who is giving her and who is timid or just not mindful enough of the game. ....if you ever want to get off the 5th line....you might try it some time....
-
Never mind wether Pettersson is better than Glass...which he is...it looks like Lind has more upside and a better overall game as well...!!! Then we have Gadjovich and DiPietro looking like locks to make Team Canada as well...what a great draft JB had....just Wow....we won this draft by a mile already....

That rush...the kid just put the whole team on his shoulders...rushed down the ice with puck and tried to will it into the net...then fed a linemate for a wide open shot on half a net...then got in position for the one timer that would have been top corner if not for the glove of the defender... ...nah this kid isn't/ won't be ready for us next year..... ...unless we want to win more games....
-
Good game by Gaudette tonight...it didn't look like he got in on the scoring but he played what seemed like half of the 3rd period in all situations and looked his solid self all game.
-
Sounds right to me....
-
If the Sedins want to stay that's fine with me as well....but at 8 minutes a game they won't be wanting to sit on the pine for that long each game...I think they pass. New Jersey has 7 starter's UNDER 22 years of age....think about that....and they are doing just fine this year ...as we know all too welll. EP is better than Nico....he would have buried the chance Nico just had....we will see that...next year.....
-
I think he starts on the wing with us.... Elias / Bo / Boeser would be a killer ...lights out....hat trick every night....for 2 of them...type of non hyped line.....
-
Thanks for the long and well thought out replies....the only problem is...we are a playoff contending team now...by the playoffs we may not even be considered an underdog if things keep gelling like they are.... So there is nothing wrong with adding a 65-75 point man to that mix next year ....along with AG...and we suddenly become cup contenders for years to come. The other problem is with the roster proposal....the Sedins played less than 8 minutes last night...if that sort of thing keeps up, they won't be back....if we don't make the playoffs this year....they won't be back....if we do and they become relevant....at least 13-14 minutes relevant...then maybe they want to come back...sure but Benning still doesn't have the luxury of keeping a high point man out of the lineup. It's up to Elias, if he keeps this pace up and gains his 10 Lbs or so in the next year....he will be more than ready. oh and we have Horvat, Granny, Baer, Virtanen, Gaunce, Goldobin, Dahlen, Gaudette, MacEwen, Chatfield...and more to add to your list of sure things....for years to come.... Rodin is still only 26 so add him as well and all our current young D and we are looking strong to me....
-
Tell that to Gretzky....et all.... ...No way EP plays in the AHL...same as Brock and same as Bo (save for the injury/conditioning stint Bo had to do).... ...just watch....
-
We went through this with Bo....everybody thinking he is not ready....then with Brock....and now with Elias and Adam..... Again why people think he should spend this year tearing up the SHL and then go to an inferior league in the AHL because he will be "safer"....seriously?.....
-
Elias has just as much chance (probably more really) of getting injured in the AHL as he does in the NHL....that concern is just not based in reallity.... if freaking Yamamoto can survive so can Pettersson. ....get him and Gaudette on the team and let the Cups come rolling in for years to come....
-
...enviromentally.....are we going Green for Greener....? ....just watch....
-
like I have been saying ....how do you keep a 65-75 point man out of the lineup ....because "he's not ready"....it doesn't make sense to me... Elias will be 175 lbs next year and even better than this year in every other way....he could have outscored the Sedins by 10-20 points this year....why wait past next year?
-
Well I hope not...I think we trade Goldy and Elias and Gaudette make it next year...that is my prediction... ....oh and about the management's face....JB has been preaching getting younger for a long time now...I think he has the horses to do it next year....
-
I am now also of the opinion that we did indeed get the best player from last years draft and that will show up next year with a rookie EP scoring more than Nico does this year....
-
Vanek would have to score close to 30 goals this year to be wanted back...giveaway's and lack of speed for D.,...I don't see him coming back. The Sedins only come back if we make the playoffs this year and they are relevant in getting us there.... Really I see Elias and Adam G. making the team next year and probably Goldy as well unless we trade him....so it may come down to do we want Vanek and the Sedins (or Gagner, Burmistrov or even Sutter) or those 3 kids.... I want the kids.... Baer / Bo / Boeser .....this line is gelling already.... Rodin / Pettersson / Goldy ....this line will score some sick goals ...may need to swap Jake for Goldy for some teams) Granlund / Gaudette / Virtanen ....this line will hound the puck....and score goals and knock people over.... Gaunce or Eriksson / Sutter or Gaunce / Dorsett .....Gaunce can do what Granlund is doing for this line this year and add some size.... Gagner ( probably traded ), Eriksson ....what to do with Eriksson.... Granlund
-
14 points in his last 8 games....how anyone could think he needs a year in the AHL which isn't even as good as the SHL....is beyond me.... Elias could have made the team this year....at 165 Lbs.... ...can't wait to see him and Brock on the PP together....
-
I think half of his goals have come from one-timers from just that spot on the ice....he hits it just inside the post with amazing consistency. Boeser on the left and Pettersson on the right for PP's and the poor goalie is going to have cleanup duty when he finds his undies....
-
Well ...that was NHL caliber pass reception and finish...has he gotten better in last 3 months? It sure looks like he is a year ahead of where he was at prospects camp...looks like a player...
