No the NHL.
-
Bo is on the injured reserve of the Canucks so yes they could call say Gaunce up for instance.
-
Gaunce and Utica's 4th line was the best line 2 games ago. I don't think it will matter what line Bo is on, they will get played if he is doing well. I also think it doesn't really matter how he does in his 2 too 6 games there, he will be back here rather then down to junior for at least some of his 9 games. Bo will make the team from there unless there is a trade. He is simply a better option even now, before expected rapid development once he gets playing, then 3 or 4 players who we all keep mentioning.
-
Sorry, no he doesn't belong there. It is a conditioning stint as well as a managment decision to allow us to keep Horvat around longer and then use him when a forward get's injured in 1 to 6 games from now. He will be back with the team by 2 weeks time and then he will get at least 4 or 5 games on the active roster to prove himself and prove you wrong.
-
The best part about the conditioning stint is that we can wait for a forward to get injured before bringing Bo back up, so that no one has to be moved or even benched.
-
Gaunce's skating is not bad, he has very good top end speed, maybe about the same as Matthias. His issue is quicker decision making and then a quicker first few steps. It makes him look slower.
-
He's been practising with the team since Thursday...must be wearing a "no contact" jersey?
-
Then why would Willie say that Bo would have been in the starting lineup if he hadn't been injured. The plan is to play the best players. period. You will see who that is within 4 games and Bo will be here after 9 games.
-
The only sign I see is his injury. The coach said he would likely have been in the starting line up if Bo wasn't injured. Game 3 or 4 will tell for Bo.

The dude is a sponge that keeps getting bigger and better, it's the brains and a lot more!
-
PMD... Tanev has it in him, it may take a little time yet.
-
That's what I said before, Jensen is getting played with gritty defensive players (with skill) to get him to be better defensively and grittier. Line counting in Utica is non sensical until they see what they have, with so much turn over and growth. For the Canucks; Willie said after the first line it is all equal and other then liking the Bonino line now, players will be moved around. They are all 2nd lines after the Sedins if we can get Horvat playing like he can.
-
It's more about moving a player so that Jensen or Shinkaruk, etc. can come up when they are hot. That is all about timing, if one of them is lighting it up, then see what you can get for forward #14 which is Hansen or Sestito. Trade deadline line up being about what a lot of us thought: Sedins / Vrbata Jensen / Bonnino / Burrows Higgins / Horvat / Vey or Kassian Richardson / Matthias or Vey / Kassian or Dorsett Dorsett and Sestito or Hansen as the 13th and 14th forward. The bottom 2 forwards would get the tougher games, taking Vey, Jensen or Matthias out, basically a rotating bottom 5 for 3 spots. Some one would have to go then, unless we have a man down for long term injury.
-
Horvat.
-
People...read my lips....er words... NO ONE has to be sent down. Benning said we are going to go with 14 forwards and 7 defensemen so 2 forwards and 1 defenseman sit in the press box every game. When injuries come these extras play. We are down to that number now, no trade needed. Hansen's value could hardly fall lower and teams may be desperate for grit come the trade deadline so Sestito or Hansen can be moved for more then.
-
That is a solid looking, high scoring lineup! I would have Horvat in for Matthias though, Horvat can pass and shoot with more accuracy, win more faceoffs and have a much better giveaway to takeaway ratio. Having Matthias and Sestito as extra's is slightly better then Hansen and Sestito but maybe Sestito should go?
-
Again if Hansen is still expendable at the trade deadline that would be the time to do it. We may have 3 or 4 forwards out with injuries at that time and if we don't his trade value would be as high as it's going to get. Package him up with Markstrom and/or Matthias and go for a 2nd rounder plus?
-
We are going with 14 forwards so no one has to be traded. If by the trade deadline it is obvious Hansen is expendable and we need room for Jensen or Shinkaruk then he gets traded.
-
....alright...wrong reasons eh...hmmm. edit, I am only right once a day...my watch just has the word "now" on it, works for me. oh and what the hey Whatever's true for you!

Just pointing out that I have been commenting on here that Bo only has to keep playing solid mistake free hockey, like he has from game one, to stay with the team. I have replied to many who think he is invisible or just no offence right from game one of exhibition season that they need to watch the game better. With that last statement it is just the way it happened that Willie said as much after Bo got injured. I said it from game one. Willie also said something like " We will have to see how he (Bo) does when he gets back", meaning Bo will get up to 9 games to prove he is at least as good an option as the worst of the 13 other forwards on the team. Bo will be, beyond a shadow of a doubt, more valuable to the team then Sestito, Hansen or maybe even Matthias (who had a good game last time out), by mid season and then he will only get better. Matthias is the only one of the 3 bottom players still with upside... sorry Tom your young but.... Delusional maybe but it is the way it is, Willie confirmed it. I used to say in my younger days "Whatever's true for you" to state the obvious and end a disagreement. I now say "Whatever's true for me", I like it better that way... All in fun guys! Also let me know if I am proven wrong, in any of the above, I will be happy to admit idiocy then!
-
No other moves have to be made, Horvat could still be sent down before his 10th game but the only way that happens is if his shoulder injury keeps him from being 100% when he does return. Otherwise his game is not going to disappear and Willie said all he has to do is keep doing what he was doing. We will all be very glad he is with us by mid season...except those in the McDavid hunt.
-
Ha, ha. I'm just having fun, nice retort but please no re Tort's.
-
Will... no...HAS made the team. Bo is not going to dumb down like some others on the bottom 6, he's just going to get better, all he has to do according to me first and then Willie is keep doing what he has been doing.
-
Try squinting and looking sideways...and the great Benning said "let there be space" and the great sea of players was parted and room for one more created. -one way is injuries, not to Horvat. -one way is to waive Sestito. -one way is to trade Sestito ,Hansen or Matthais for picks or prospects or defence. Horvat will ...no... HAS made the team. He just has to come back and keep doing what he was doing, only thing is over 9 games I expect him to actually do it better by the end of it. It will be better for the Canucks and better for Horvat, try the squinting thing...

Hansen's done great for a 9th rounder. We now have 1st rounders ready to play with more upside just in this season then Hansen has left in his career. We may need him, but as a part timer, 14th man.
