  1. He's impressed me in the two games so far. Has pretty good wheels and an accurate shot.
  2. So I was looking into the forward lines next year, and assuming Baertschi comes back (see Crosbys concussions 2011/2012), we have far too many forwards than we do spots. Giving the young guys ice time I would think:

    Goldobin - Pettersson - Boeser
    Baertschi - Horvat - Leivo
    Pearson - Gaudette - Virtanen
    Roussel - Beagle - MacEwan

This leaves Sutter, Motte, Spooner, Eriksson, and Granlund on the outs.

Im guessing they won't resign Granlund. Maybe they move Mr. Foundation at the draft, and start Spooner in the AHL? That leaves Eriksson and Motte for the 13th forward... Maybe Ottawa will take Eriksson on to hit cap floor haha.

I wouldn't count on Baertschi coming back.

@Zhukini I've heard he was. I remember Colorado fans saying they'd be ok with a Zadarov swap, 1 for 1. Imagine a Zadarov - Trymakin pairing down the road

I could see us letting Granlund walk. Baertschi has lingering concussion issues that could force him out. MacEwen isn't a roster player by any means. I also doubt we continue to pay Eriksson as a $6m 4th liner, maybe a buy out or mutual termination.

  3. He was talking about during summer. It should be incredibly easy for someone to get in shape if they're being paid and have summers off.
  4. The player who originally shot it gets credited for a shot attempt, while the player that tipped it gets credit for the shot
  5. Look at Pittsburgh's d-core for their past two cups. 2015-2016 who did they have besides Letang? Then this past year they had no Letang and Ron Hainsey playing around 20 some odd minutes a game. Not saying defense isn't important, as you would need an exceptional offense to overcome it still, but this is an example. On the flip side, I guess we have Nashville who is the polar opposite of Pittsburgh and made it to the cup finals. Either way you're going to need a few star players to win the cup. Crosby, Malkin, Letang/ Toews, Kane, Keith/ Carter, Doughty, Kopitar. Well, looking at it now I guess you're right hahaha. We have Boeser/ Pettersson/??? looks like we need to win those Dahlin sweepstakes which have some other teams name written all over it.
  6. Naw, you aren't the only one haha. He's very lazy... Inconsistent from game to game, not to mention shift to shift. Hoping a miracle happens this summer and he goes to train with Gary Roberts to get his ass in shape.
  7. No problem, I'm very bored in class. I find Wikipedia is good for breaking down the trades at the draft. Honestly, he could be on to something. You have to work your ass off to become an NHLer, and you're going to have to take some hits. Goldobin might be coasting out there and not giving it his all every shift. Could be a product of coasting when he was younger. Hopefully, he comes to this realization and can add muscle to withstand the rough stuff in the corners. He has the talent but has to work hard. I saw a popular quote by Durant that said "Hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard."
  8. This one is a little complicated because San Jose didn't win the cup, so we got their 4th which we traded to Chicago for Carolina's 5th and Chicago's 6th where we drafted Gunnarsson and Palmu. So basically it was Hansen for Goldobin, Palmu, and Gunnarsson. If I have it correct.
  9. I felt more comfortable having Lack in when we had Luongo, so yes Im very confident. Two big netminders who know their positioning well.
  10. I was just waiting for your idiotic comment to pop up. Did the refs make the series 3-0 for Montreal? No. Did the refs make it so Tampa could lose from one power play goal in the 3rd? No. If a team can't over come bad reffing, not saying it was bad, then they don't deserve to win. Also Montreal taunting injured players? Maybe look at your own team bud: http://blogs.canoe.ca/slam/hockey/lowlife-leafs-fans-mock-parros-injury/ Montreal fans were booing the Stamkos incident because they thought there was an upcoming penalty... They would have cheered or booed much earlier if they were being disgraceful. Also I find it ironic that you say Habs fans are ignorant to other hockey teams.. What exactly are you doing right now? Oh wait...
  11. Anyone think we have a shot at bringing Naslund in as GM? He's been GM for Modo the past little while, then possibly Linden as hea coach?
  12. John Boruk ‏@JohnBorukCSN Internally, #Flyers aren't talking Kesler. Externally, they're pushing the price up on other teams. Some people don't know the difference
  13. A large chunk of you guys are pathetic, and I feel embarrassed to call myself a Canucks fan after reading these comments
  14. good teams find ways to win despite the reffing. It was a dive, but Keslers stick was right in Plekanecs torso
  15. I agree with everyhitng except add Bieksa, Richardson and Santorelli to the untouchables, for me that is, so we can remain fairly competitive. So basically gutted line-up: Higgins - Kesler - Kassian Sedin - Sedin - Dalpe Booth - Richardson - Schroeder Sesito - Lain - Weise Hamhuis - Tanev Stanton - Bieksa Corrado - Weber Lack (IF we get a good deal for Luo) Eriksson Gone are: Burrows, Edler, Garisson, Luongo, Hansen, and Santorelli is injured
  16. There were a lot of missed calls for both teams. The refs were letting the game go, which I liked. Created fast pace hockey.
  17. I was at the game here in Winnipeg. I have never seen such an inconsistent team in my life... This team looked extremely unmotivated, they were trying to get fancy wayyy too much, they werent shooting, and they can't clear the zone to save their lives... But that being said, when they were able to get the puck going they looked very good, and just had a lot of unlucky bounces. We were looking strong towards the end, but some late penalties really killed us. A quote from a reporter: "@pwilliamsNHL Loooooooooooong wait for Sullivan. Canucks' room was a morgue" That doesn't sound good at all, sounds like the morale is at an all time low. We need something to change, be it the Olympic break, Torts coming back, or a trade (big or small). I don't care what it is, but it needs to happen soon.
  18. Guess what people... It's called a slump. Once we snap out of it, and I wish I knew when it will be but I dont (against Chicago, or when we get Torts back would be my guesses), we will go on a win streak and suddenly we're the best team in the NHL again. Stick with them people, they know how to play hockey.
  19. Burrows needs to start hitting the twine, and hopefully Prospal pans out. Rough loss, lets move on. Go nucks!
