  1. oh did i fail to add an emoticon is your sarcasm detector failing? i suggest replacing the batteries with fresh ones
  2. reminds me of pulp fiction and the watch "my dad's watch"
  3. no jim is the real problem here an active member of the fake news establishment and his questions are the real problem in the usa not potus too bad the orange one cannot simply arrest and imprison these bad actors but i understand he has proposed changes to arrest and detain provisions in this time of crisis so there is still hope he can rid of all of having to deal with jim, hillary, shifty schiff, etc... then america can be great again maga
  4. you managed to get internet in prison? did you smuggle in a cell phone?
  5. anyone at all know when the next live update will be ?? there is a confirmed case in the dtes (at least one i'm told) this could be a cluster infection of epic proportions does anyone know any more about this specific issue? sounds like this person was in a shelter with many many other men hope there is a live update tomorrow so we can get information on how this highly risky case is being managed
  6. i find this one to be very cost effective granted, it is not an import and i could just lack refined taste
  7. i don't think there was one today i looked and could not find any maybe the stat holiday gave the live updates a day off ?
  8. i clearly am and you clearly are not? ok then provost must be in the same dug in hole as me i made it big enough so he could join me .. though his support comes as a surprise clearly tampa was as well when they bought out vincent
  9. so you are saying that once your car is again together the bottle will likely have had a chance to age another full year ?
  10. no idea all i know is he can get very off colour at times maybe he crossed the lines in this thread/site too offen during this time of crisis his lack of sensitivity at times is really quite remarkable given how bright he actually seems to be
  11. another thought since we are debating a hypothetical here which neither of us can successfully do let's look at the lecavalier tampa situation when the lightning bought him out the same arguments are relevant yet tampa bought him out anyway it had to do with new adjusted cap issues and a cap free compliance buyout opportunity same considerations apply if compliance buyouts are available again now
  12. oh ok i did not read back into all the previous posts i don't think i even read mm's post my bad then when you raised the issue of spies i simply pointed out the usa did have spies who reported relevant information that's the trouble with online discussion i do not read every post.. as some are too thin based on a poster's history i read yours but obviously not always in full context
  13. so you think that the past 2 years seeing price perform since he signed this massive deal makes no difference to habs management ? anyone can clearly see his contract will become an anchor in the last half and as you have astutely and correctly pointed out due to its bonus structure it is completely buy out proof he and bob are the 2 best paid goalies in the nhl this year and both are not close to being the top nhl goalies this season and both are unlikely to reach that status again i think florida should be considering buying out bob for the same reasons
  14. alzner's contract is shorter and cheaper years 5 to 8 on price's contract are going to be horrendous likely buying him out now creates future financial flexibility and given the structure of the nhl's revenue sharing model the habs would be getting out of the price contract for 50cents on the dollar so i can see very good long term reasons to use compliance buy out on him that is the same reason why some suggest nucks using a buy out on myers
  15. i know you are trying to say something here i just cannot decipher what it is yes, they are different entities they even have different names to clearly identify they are not the same thing
  16. exactly so many players on losing teams on that list maybe it is a good thing to not have a player listed?
  17. i don't agree they are the 3rd most valuable franchise in the nhl new york is 1st toronto is 2nd those valuations relate to revenue and profit levels and those 3 teams are a significant step above the team listed at number 4 price is not a financial issue for montreal they can easily buy him out their issue is price is a fixture in montreal and they would have to explain why they are dumping him when they just signed him to a long term high value contract as if he were patrick roy calibre and we all know what happened when they dumped roy
  18. yes you are correct i watched both wins but really only remember the 1st one as i took my youngest brother to it and we were seated in the right spot at the end of the game
  19. someone instead show the 1st ever grizzlie game against timberwolves i was sitting right under the basket at the end of the game where the grizzlies scored the winning points was a great way to start a new franchise (yes, please ignore the rest of their inaugural season though) i got to sit through many of those games as well but at least i got to see jordan live
  20. yes i know what is depressing thanks for asking
  21. except it does free up 10 million in cap space for montreal since compliance buyouts are cap exempt transactions so if they are a rich franchise like toronto they do not care about cash they care way way more about cap space they can sign another goalie for 5 million or less (particularly in this crisis period) and have another 5 million to bolster other areas of their roster and really save themselves the extreme pain they will go through during the last 3 years of price's contract (and as posted above, this expense is something they will get players to share equally in through salary cap threshold adjustments, so you have to think of this as owners only having to pay 1/2 of the true cost)
  22. it really is even more then that i think if compliance buyouts are permitted any that are exercised will be tagged as a business cost a business expense added to the owner's side of the ledger and will be shared by the players in salary cap adjustments so that the business model of shared 50% of revenues is maintained so players will actually also bear the cost of any buyouts i do doubt, as i have posted previously, that compliance buyouts is the tool that will be seen as most effective enlarging escrow deductions is likely what will happen there is already strong rumour that the entire last pay cheque for every player will go 100% into the escrow account as a result of this pandemic
  23. so if anyone is interested monitor the WHO site from about 6 to 7 pm today the usa is about to hit a triple score in terms of data should top 500,000 cases, should get to close to 35,000 newly reported cases, and should hit 2,000 deaths i'm thinking none of these will happen today.. or at least will not be reported as happening based on recent past reporting manipulation at 1:40 pm today pst usa total cases at 493,426 new cases today at 24,860 new deaths today at 1,640 5 1/2 hours of reporting left in today's cycle yesterday usa data showed new cases - 33,536 new deaths - 1900 (yesterday the clock reset an hour early) both figures are trending to go up as they have in every day recently so if these trends continue usa should hit a triple in terms of new data threshold standards
  24. well we do know for certain that in early february trump was the intended recipient of a detailed report about the economic consequences of this virus issue from navarro there are also confirmed reports that he received detailed warnings in january from his own intelligence sources and yes, there is a leak about information relayed to him in november and no, that cannot yet be proven but it is likely that the usa had people on the ground in china monitoring this issue so make this all as fake as you wish what you cannot explain is why bc managed this all so effectively with all the same "non information" you apparently wish to assume trump had not sure why bc could do a pretty damn good job since it has fewer intelligence sources then the usa and yet, the usa did a remarkably poorer job then bc explain this outcome please
