so what .. i don't understand your point the team is already here, deep pockets are not really required to purchase a franchise the team has a business aspect to it the caps need to be financially viable, not just a play thing for ownership to drop money into i mean, why would they do this? to make you happy ? the team needs to build its fan base, build its ratings, increase market share, and thereby over all revenues they have done pretty well with the budget they have been working on this is not a big market team yet .. but the caps have shown historically that it is a pretty dedicated market as mls grows its credibility .. the fans and revenues will also grow i do not think the toronto model will work here... but feel free to donate the necessary money so it can be tried -
feedback: i don't know about this club thing and wanted to know more about it so i followed the instructions and clicked on "more" and all i got were 2 options - online users, and, staff no clubs option was listed are clubs already dead as an option?

hahahaha our leading scorer is dispensable ? i guess you also wanted him benched the first game against mcdavid too ? you want him to do more physical stuff then he already does? you know he leads in penalty minutes, hits, points yeah he is almost rubbish . disposable . gotcha
-
the door is never closed though if he leads the comets in scoring all season i think he deserves a fair chance to make the big club next season but this season let's reward the younger players with call ups unless the canucks get devastated by injury this yeah
-
i hope boucher get serious about wanting to play in the nhl i think he has learned that his conditioning was not up to par i'd like to leave him in the ahl for the year and give him the virt treatment let him try to make the canucks again next preseason he has been given enough opportunities and has not been serious enough so far
-
given that green has coached him before. i think he knows how to use him. and help him develop as well look at the virt situation. .so much upset and grief over how green limited his minutes and made him basically earn every second of ice time kinda seems to be showing a return recently i think green know how to use virt pretty well too

i take you are a bit of a dahlen fan there SID

hey the team knew what he was all about when he was signed he was given a very special role on his previous team last season's game tapes can be further reviewed if there is any mystery about how best to deploy him he wants a larger role, which is why he was signed here, but he needs to be productive first i wonder whether he is a bit of a square peg being forced into a round hole why sign him if he was not going to be used in the way he was so recently successful? i think he is useful if used in the best way for him

Congrats to Lu - moving up in all time wins - Luuuu

you are certainly entitled to your opinion about him passing roy but to say reimer has outplayed him the past 2 years is not supportable luongo won 35 games 2 years ago and was playing extremely well in florida's run to the playoffs reimer was not playing at the level and rarely has which is why he cannot seem to stick with any team as a starter -

so you believe luongo will quit/retire before his contract ends? he was injured last season and saw limited action the season before he won 35 games this season james reimer is the other goalie i see luongo remaining the starter and it is not unreasonable to expect/hope him to win 30 games on an improved florida team that'll leave him with about 70 wins to catch roy over the remaining 4 years of his contract unless he is physically not capable of playing i think he will keep playing his ability to catch roy depends on how good the panther team is they are a rising young team and i think likely will be good for the next 5 years last year was a blip due to injury and forcing tallon to step down/iup he is back at the controls so i still think luongo will catch roy unless his body or skills fail him but i admit i have not talked to luongo about this maybe someone can tweet him -
he's still a kid let's not rush him he may mature more sensibly nearer family and in the culture he grew up with with more maturity he might adjust better to canada and north america people who live here assume the transition is easy it really is not and it is becoming harder at time goes on i'm sure he, his agent, and all those involved in his development assisted in making this decision

ah no reyna says hi that is when he was game fit and the play seemed to start being driven by him -
wow brilliant good job missing the entire point of the post and managing to add some racial commentary as well ... but you are well trained to do so it appears

nonsense standing during the anthem is not the issue if everyone were so patriotically pure they should close off beer sales during the anthem but they won't do that cuz it's ok to hit the concessions during the anthem these are all efforts to undermine shedding light on the social issues people attempting to have addressed through these civil symbolic protests and ask yourself why the anthem needs to be played anyway at a local sporting event that has no international interplay at all ? it politicizes a sporting event which then makes it an appropriate forum to raise any political issue

figured it was a joke cuz of all your probablies in that post

hey it appears to have taken a fair bit of work to derail this topic isn't oj still in jail btw ?

eskimos were the better team in the game but we all know the better team does not always win man it sure looked like cfl game management was being applied against the lions in the 4th quarter there for a while make me shake my head and wonder what is really going on all those calls made in favour of the eskimos makes no sense and defies logic so why did that happen?
-
it does not matter the canucks have a number of players who will need to clear waivers chaput, megna, boucher.. they may be hoping at least one or more gets scooped up by another team i think the waivers issue is of minimal concern to the canucks this coming year. . they have way too many bodies as it is
-
if it were up to me i'd rather give a roster spot to goldobin and send boucher to utica
-
he will be ready not for this game. but the next one that is the latest word i heard (from a bird )
-
a lot of people anxious about bo for almost no reason i can see is there really any difference if he signs today or august 31 ? or even later ?

a whitecap win on the road against l.a. i know that team is diminished but still a pretty good step forward for the caps and any road win is a good result and no interest on these boards -
he is only 20 and has demonstrated a lack of maturity both off the ice and on it he seems to have settled a bit better towards the end of his recent time in utica i say he will benefit from another 1/2 season down there at least he needs a better base to his game and needs to think it a bit better as well being on the farm and out of the vancouver fishbowl likely will help him more then force feeding him on the parent club with many criticizing his every inexperienced error he appears to be one young talent that is not yet ready for the nhl
