  1. what is the new salary cap value? can't answer your question without this info also explain who compliance buyouts benefit why would the players agree to this?
  2. best is to buy it on sale i bought 12 pounds of LaVazzo at around $10 per 2 pound bag about 8 weeks ago (was more then 60% off regular price) figured that would get me through the covid 19 issue i supplement with other coffees to keep things interesting and also blend to supplement the narrow taste range of the lower quality offerings so that the cup i brew actually has a more interesting flavour but be smart in how you do this or you can make your blend worse as well
  3. bean north is a top quality micro roaster and they ship anywhere extremely socially conscious in their coffee sourcing https://beannorth.com/
  4. is it the source for covid-19? heard a rumour about civets but suspect i likely am spit balling about this
  5. we need to first know the new salary cap if it is reduced significantly and it appears that will be the new model for a number of years going forward the team will need to buy out a high value longer term contract (myers) cannot meaningfully discuss this issue without knowing all the details and we will be waiting for those for quite a while i think i also doubt the league and players will want any compliance buyout at this time it achieves nothing but letting some of the wealthier teams off the hook for bad contract decisions
  6. when has loui ever shown up out of shape ?
  7. does not really matter which city the nhl designates as a hub city they could have chosen nyc at the height of its outbreak the protocols that the nhl and its player adopt are the key factors the weaker the protocols, the higher the need for a "safer" city rumour has it that many pros (not just nhlers) do not want to return to play due to the risk involved so it seems to me the protocols will be fairly strict let's see what the protocols are that each league adopts and let's see how they actually educate their players about absolute adherence to the protocols people will be the weakest link to any framework put in place by any pro league
  8. don't worry their fearless leaders says it is very much like the common flu nothing to see here
  9. i heard the bc provincial government has amended their support of the nhl plan to restart the league in hub cities i think there is a new rider written into it excluding permission for matthews to attend if vancouver is a hub
  10. really you would have no problem being a team mate of him afterwards? i think he needed to go to preserve the locker room there is no way he could come back but, please explain how you think that could realistically have happened
  11. i do not understand your logic about this every team is equally effected the nucks are not more effected then anyone else players must fit into the new financial regime and they will (it is a closed box financial enterprise - they have no where else to go) this is an equal playing field for all we just do not presently know the parameters of it we cannot make specific assessments of the contract values of players we need to sign teams with more players to re-sign may actually be in a better position then others if the new market contract values are lower not sure what the 10% not available comment comes from or means ? confusing to me seems to suggest that nucks have 10% less then other teams? that will not be the case
  12. i think the title is misleading as well and if it were accurate i'd be a tad worried about hughes, ep40, brock, and our other young talent who might not be on board throwing away keys seasons of their likely very special careers but this is the internet where click bait titles seem to be encouraged it's actually a good thing the post fails to live up to the title
  13. for sure and don't forget about the additional benefit of being able to fill your tub just by opening the bathroom window
  14. yep i knew that which is why i posted that info there are very few places in the entire world that are more or less safe from the sun and rupert is one of them sucks for companies that sell sun screen up there though ps... my superficial knowledge of a vast variety of topics could fill a large library with very thin books
  15. yeah except the snow during that event was liquified in rupert a good day in rupert is when the clouds part enough so the sun can shine in to bounce off the rain droplets ok i'm being extreme but i was forced to fly up there when the airlines were on strike and had to locate some smallish airline that flew a few of us up there in a snowstorm an unhappy memory sorry rupertbo and chon.. nothing personal against people who live up there i do hear it is a preferred location for those who suffer from sun related reactions
  16. well he is likely somewhere on the north shore and those north shore mountain ice caps cool his heat and mask his activity level we know rupert has no snow or ice just constant., persistent, eternal rain (which is not effective at heat masking) oh, and btw, have you evolved enough yet to have webbing between your toes and fingers?
  17. it's not strange at all the map is most likely sourced in the usa and they do not expend any energy at all to look at places outside the usa canada is worthy of 1 red dot per province, without any breakdown at all, as was done with the meaningful territories of the world (the usa) we are fortunate they noted our virus stats by 1 dot and that we were not totally ignored they have the virus issue well in hand down south, and can learn nothing from us not even from bc or the excellent medical leadership provided by dr. henry i think they chose to locate the red dot in bc near where you are located due to the heat generated from that area by your heavy posting on here
  18. and there is some wisdom in having kids return to school now for a month or so as it will allow the system to address and adjust to covid related transmission problems that might occur so that when more kids return in the fall the environment can be made even safer
  19. well i have a wee bit of trouble with what you are suggesting just because the more extreme risks have not yet been realized here does not really provide much comfort all we have to do is look at what happened in nyc to see what could easily happen elsewhere i don't need it to actually happen here to accept it easily could and the dtes concern is real, and it has been actively addressed from the start and so far effectively you seem to infer that since these risks have not yet been realized here there are less real? i really don't think that is a wise conclusion to be reaching there is way way too much evidence that we have to some degree been lucky and to another degree the the effective virus management through testing, tracking, tracing by our health authorities has been very effective these risks continue to be very real and we are walking a very small tightrope in successfully navigating this risk so far the protests could be the tipping point we'll see in a couple of weeks what the fall out might be
  20. so it worked? trump is correct then? are you recommending such treatment for others as well? tell us all more details about the insertion technique
  21. the cases appear to be mostly cluster related that is how this will progress or continue lower community numbers with cluster outbreaks jumping up the numbers from time to time that helps keep people on their toes and keep their discipline up cuz we notice these number bumps
  22. i gotta admit.... nothing

  23. i think people lose sight of what the virus message is all about it is to flatten the curve prevent the medical system from being overloaded track and trace the virus so we have an idea of where it is deal with cluster outbreaks keep things managed and under control i have not seen any message suggesting the virus will disappear it will not it will endure so we will need to build up resistance through vaccine assistance or overall population exposure over a time period so that immunity is built up that way if that does not happen the community is always at risk for epidemic type explosions of the virus it needs to get into our populations in a controlled way these inferences that manageable new infections are a disappointment is not a realistic long term approach to deal with covid and is not the message i have heard from our local authorities
  24. bleach is still readily available all over as well
  25. the issue is not about being homeless or living in tents it is congregating in campground type arrangements and yes, as they close them, and force them to move, they will spring up in other locations and get moved again not sure what point you are trying to make the one at crab park existed for a very short while after oppenheimer was closed down and fenced
