darn well for those who like shiny draft pick coupons i think we could trade miller for a higher ranked 1st rounder and a 2nd rounder because of his production and great contract who is for trading him now for some draft picks ?

you make vague silly statements about next year's cap issues provide details, actual numbers, of the problem you see for next season otherwise you are just being negative for no reason other then you feel like it i have set out some numbers above in a previous post and i see little problem for next season we keep everyone we currently have signed and still there is ample cap to sign markstrom (gaudette, motte, tanev, stetch, and virt too . unless someone is seeking a biggish increase and enough to sign 3 more to cheap contracts) -

canucks have $17,188,461 in projected cap space available for next season if the cap goes up .. let's say 2 million, they'll have 19 million they have 14 players already signed and biggest offseason signing in terms of average annual salary is markstrom this seems to be very doable and not worth worrying too much about nobody needs to be moved to accomplish this signing too many people are fixated on loui his contract should be viewed as a forced savings plan to make sure there is money when ep40 and hughes need to be resigned canuck salary cap is in good shape in my view -

i'd move gaud up the line up to play wing with either ep40 or bo and i'd keep brock on one of the top 2 lines ferland and leivo can play 3rd line and we have 4 solid centres without gaud playing that position -

yeah and neither were that good hope that puts an end to all the desires to trade markstrom we need a solid tandem back there and demko is not yet ready to be the clear #1 starter -

not sure but it seems some posters are having trouble with roster issues and might feel relieved if a nuck player ends up on the injury roster again -
Anyone else worried about Colorado as rivals in the near future?
coastal.view replied to Sandro17's topic in Canucks Talk
um, you worried about stiff competition bro? if you only have weakling teams to beat... how is that satisfying remember when the nucks finally beat the hawks? golden moment i'm looking forward to severe intense competition for this nucks core it'll be so much fun -

nucks win 4 - 2 nucks ahead 2 - 1 at the conclusion of the 1st period thanks to the author of these threads for each and every game and thanks for taking the time to track each person's tally and thanks for adding extra questions to add interest to this all oh .. and thanks? for seeing that you are beginning to run away with the lead -
i think he currently wants to live nearer where he grew up so he can spend time with extended family he can develop coaching abilities anywhere that best suits him i doubt he would want to live in utica right now give him time takes a while for a player to transition good to get some distance as well from his main team

well i was referring to george and he just returned the clips are a very deep team solidly constructed and extremely defensively minded the rap young guys are developing extremely quickly man did the raps draft well (or perhaps there was a bit of luck involved) kind of hard to believe pascal is coming on so fast and the team has very committed, disciplined, high iq players before kahwi they seemed to lack that character i think he mentored many of them well so if he does the same to the clips i think they will be the better team and george is better then lowry who was 2nd to kahwi last season but yeah the raps are a very good story this year

sorry Fijian did not intend to copy your response complete coincidence i always read the heading to the thread reach my answers and scroll through the thread to post nucks win 4 - 1 van has more shots over and a reminder upvote the author of this thread if you choose to post in it -
trade cannot be done cuz math flyers have 276k of cap space this trade requires them to take on 1.25 million of additional salary 1.25 million >>>>>>>>>>>>276k
-
so many of these trade proposals are so similar in that there is zero argument of why the other team would find this trade attractive so montreal is going to trade a foundational player for 2 players who were discarded by other teams last season (pearson by 2 teams) and who are still trying to cement a clear role with the nucks makes so much sense

your views on loui are overly simplistic the team has invested a significant chunk of salary cap space on him the team still believes there is a possibility that they do not need to lock in that negative position (eat the cap) your approach locks it in and saves the team only 1 million in cap space if loui can be a bit more useful or productive he may have value the other thing that will be happening next offseason is that there will be teams that might have problems reaching the cap floor ottawa is one such team so loui may still have value if he can manage to stay in the nhl this season -

loui is not a difference maker on this team not sure why you repeatedly negatively comment on him yeah he got 2 questionable call penalties not really in his control when refs call things that way team record does show this though if ep40 is held off the scoresheet nucks rarely win ep40 is a potential difference maker -
baer is simply more skilled then most ahlers and can stay out of trouble there as a result he simply has not shown he can be productive at the nhl level that is why he was sent back down there is continual commentary that he just looks different this season compared to his preinjury performance last season
-
raps are developing nicely and are going to do well in the east they are a formidable defensive team but let's not get silly here clips are still missing a key player and kawhi is likely still the best player in the nba and his value shows up clearest in the playoffs clips in my view are the best team and better positioned to win it all then the raps this season as they are even better on d then the raps
-
some players just demonstrate that their games are not quite suited to the nhl and do very well in the ahl boucher is a classic example of this baer is a bit more complicated he is/was nhl worthy but concussion issues seems to have taken the edge off his game and he can no longer be successful in the very tough areas of the game and that step down in his game makes his game more ahl worthy
