Starting out my 6 month workout journey!
coastal.view replied to CanucksFan#21's topic in Off-Topic General
um, 100 pound weight loss in 6 months? not healthy, do that only under doc supervision i doubt you put it on that fast try for something more realistic which will cement a lifestyle change instead of a yo yo approach .. . too fast off, means you won't maintain it 5 pounds a month for 20 months you can keep up that pace easily for the first 3 months doubt you'll keep your target pace of 15 pounds plus weight loss per month very long you'll be totally stressing out your body edit: and think about it a bit you go from non active to active .. you will feel more hungry then usual you can only work off a limited amount of weight you will sabotage your hopes weight loss involves restriction of the amount you eat so reduce that and maybe start doing some walking -
sets up with proper positioning goal stick down, glove at the ready, blocker angle correct, pads together ok, give me your best shot

most of us have work time family time down time if hockey fits nicely into your down time that is a decent use of that time otherwise you will spend that time on something else not sure why you want to call it a time suck you spend your time how you choose not sure anyone else can suck it from you . you make choices but i guess you can also choose to spin this as negatively as you wish so that your views suit and project the same image your name does have fun with it all

i get it people are unhappy that team is in a bit of a downward trend but they are still in a playoff position not even a wild card team so it's good to have some perspective the team is young and key defensive forwards are not yet back not sure how this adds up to firing green? or any other drastic steps the better record in october is a bit of an illusion as it was achieved against weaker teams and the team was mostly injury free november is all about seeing how this team does against better teams and november is the toughest month both in terms of number of games and opponents and dealing with more important injuries if they come out of this month still in a playoff position they will have set themselves up to maintain that for the balance of the season and with slightly better spacing of games they should be alright and player health should be able to be maintained november should have been a tough month and it has been nucks likely are still a playoff team at the end of this month

damn what a display of team defence and goaltending and surely we lead the league now in number of games giving up 5 goals in the 3rd period anyway ... go team go it does bother me when i start to get the feeling that is would be more fun to track individual player stats and performances again like the last couple of seasons then be more interested in how the entire team is doing

PREDICT THE SCORE CONTEST: Canucks @ Flyers November 25th 2019
coastal.view replied to goalie13's topic in Canucks Talk
just some info to all of you predictors the flyers reputation is in fact not valid this season under av nucks are 12th in the league at 8:52 in penalty minutes per game so far this season the broad street bullies are 25th and get 7:05 penalty minutes per game don't be fooled by how they played in the past and one other tidbit the only team in the league to not have a major penalty so far this season ? the laffs the current broad street bullies? nyr who lead the league in both penalty minutes and majors (they have 9) -
again? damn and to think i actually still support the ep40 over glass selection maybe i need a new prescription for my glasses ()

no worries a new list will be soon published and joulevi will top it top nhl prospects 21 and under with "most numerous or chronic injuries" by the time they turn 24 (for defencemen) (it's 23 for forwards and 25 for goalies)

[Proposal] Canucks and NYR
coastal.view replied to Odjick the Warrior's topic in Proposals and Armchair GM'ing
i thought rangers spent a bundle on panarin during the off season and you want them to tank and trade off talent for a veteran and some not yet ready talent they have a real shot at the playoffs presently i doubt that would be the case if this trade were adopted anytime anyone proposes nucks get 1 player but ship off multiples please give your head a shake and explain in much greater detail why the rangers (or the other team) does a trade of this sort and make your explanation much longer then why this trade would work for the canucks example nucks get jt miller from tampa in exchamge for 2 draft picks cuz tampa is against the cap and have to move someone they preferred to move someone else but would not get a 1st rounder in return so they settled for the nucks offer because their priority really was to get point resigned nucks do the deal cuz they need that quality of player now so the picks are expendable. if you cannot follow this simple formula then just say that you are a homer in all trades and of course nucks are gonna always hose the other team cuz all other gms are just stupid -

ok ... nuckleheads to win 4 - 3 and despite the dirty flyers simply being more dirty the recent lethal nuck pp run will make them philly boys more timid so nucks will draw more penalties from being more physical -
sounded like a good game sorry i missed it caught bits of it on the radio though beat the current top team in the league nucks need to get a bit more consistency going in their game again they need to be dictating the pace and play more like they did earlier in the season but i understand those early teams were the weaker ones now they are tackling the better teams hope that is the end of any losing streaks over 3 games for the remainder of the season
-
really? laffs will be contending for a cup??? really??? you gonna lie to Ekman-Larsson ?? he's not stupid why would he go to the laffs unless he got some premium value added to his contract like every other laff player has managed why would he want to play in toronto? have you lived there in the winter? have you lived in arizona during the winter? is there a difference? coyotes have a better future as a team then toronto

you seem to be quite upset and expending a lot of energy on the final roster spot (it's the 23rd spot, not 13th) it is a depth spot and really never has to be used unless there a multiple injuries on back to back nights of games otherwise there is sufficient time to call up other comet players not sure why the final roster spot warrants so much critique

PREDICT THE SCORE CONTEST: Canucks @ Capitals November 23rd 2019
coastal.view replied to goalie13's topic in Canucks Talk
washington wins 4 - 2 caps score first goal ovi (of the caps) scores the 1st goal ** and i was happy to be dead wrong about the last game and am looking forward to being dead wrong again -
Ekman-Larsson ?? he just signed a new contract and has a nmc to boot exactly how can he be moved? not sure why people keep insisting on including in trades players with nmc they mean something and were negotiated people pretend they have little to no value at least explain how the nmc is addressed if such a player is included in a trade don't just avoid dealing with this important issue

this is so much of a nothing burger forget all the energy spent on loui not worth it we need as 23rd roster player to mostly sit out games and remain ready you want a young prospect to do that much sitting? loui does a fine job of sitting and if the situation warrants he can play the odd game he has little to no value to utica people want to send him there out of spite it's silly he is not the problem on this team focus on the important things, not the fringes
