May have to leave the Canucks as a fan ;(
coastal.view replied to AlamoCanuck's topic in Canucks Talk
a lot of assumptions there why don't you try to find out what he was in fact told rather then guess i kinda doubt the nucks are anti poppy but i am open to be proven wrong and there simply has to be some sort of limit on sign messaging at sporting events people cannot bring signs about everything and anything i suspect a sign about cherry is not closely enough connected with the game at which is was displayed -

#7. pay him his bonus next off season and trade him to a team like ottawa that needs to meet the cap floor. there is speculation out there that this could again be a thing next offseason. Many of those ltir contracts are expiring this season i guess.

i thought you said he was retiring this season????? well at least we know in one season you will be correct and he will retire

everyone keeps blaming coaching it really is one of the trainers mainly who is responsible for skate sharpening his quality falls off as the game goes on due to fatigue and so by the end of the 3rd period and ot the edges are just $&!# this is evidenced by recent success of the team come on ... this theory is just as good as all the other ones being put out there based entirely on fan speculation

[Official] Vancouver Whitecaps Thread
coastal.view replied to Tenacious's topic in Off-Topic General
why it was predicted caps management would not spend this past season despite the davies transfer money and other non ticket revenues received the team payroll was right near the bottom of the league this past season why would that change? ticket revenues do not drive this franchise other revenue sources do the fans are not a priority -
your threads often run too close a line to the border of spamming/trolling please stop this nonsense

wtf? why 1. you don't like bo? what are you gonna do with bo? isn't he our number 2 center? where are you planning to move bo to? or explain how any team can retain an extra 2nd line center to play 3rd line center under a salary cap? people are already worried about sutter's contract. the team needs a 3rd line center, not a 2nd line center to play 3rd line. the team cannot afford this. 2. who the hell cares what ty's upside potential is. we have our #1 in hughes. you don't like him? you want to move what appears to be a sure thing and the first true #1 dman in nuck history for something that is more of a maybe? why do you appear to want to move him and bo? did you take your meds this morning? are you morphing into alflives? and really? do you think ty will develop to be better then ep40 so that he will move him to wing on the 1st line? so maybe you are hoping soon to trade either miller or brock too?? 3. you want another draft pick, which means you want to delay this team's hitting it's peak potential for a further 2 or 3 or 4 years down the road. you really think we can keep our current top prospects if they know the team is not serious about winning now or asap? 4. i don't give a damn about loui. he has no bearing on this team in terms of cap space or roster space. he does not move the needle hardly at all. don't waste any time on him. he will be gone and his cap space will be available when we actually need it. he is good for the team as it forces management to hold his cap space and not waste it. the team is fine for the time being with him. there is no need to focus on moving him.

my impression is marky has hit his peak and is slightly regressing he can recover to maintain his peak level demko has not hit his peak has better stats and is way younger he has a higher ceiling i'm glad marky has fully developed but i see little to no reason that the canucks should commit to him long term offer him an attractive 1 year deal and then plan to move on from him i think it would be good for the team and demko (and marky too) to let the tandem play 2 full seasons together before demko takes over

i don't get the upset here when better talent is acquired the assistant coaches appear to be more competent can't make a silk purse out of a pig's ear yet people cannot get over the lack of talent on the back line and wish to pin that on baum's structure? makes little sense to me there are few complaints about the d this year, yet it is playing way way better the pp is also rounding into form same problem last season transitioning from sedins to new players now with young talent in place i think in time they will all be more consistent isn't the talent issue the obvious difference look at the tail end of last season and this season so far o/t 3 -3 we have one unit that is superstar and it comprises all of our youngest players how many think those performances are more coached or more talent? fire green i say because our other 3 on 3 units simply are not as well coached? cuz coaching is always the problem? talent trumps everything including coaching we now have talent the coaching does not handicap it despite someone saying green is crippling ep40 that is nonsense and let's also look at one other factor green and baum are a tandem for many seasons now that has some value as well

[PGT] St. Louis Blues at Vancouver Canucks | Nov. 05, 2019
coastal.view replied to -Vintage Canuck-'s topic in Canucks Talk
is sven still with the team ? if so, why? comets need him nucks clearly do not want to use him -
so your criteria for success is every first round pick must be a star or superstar jb has not missed on any 1st round pick go look at other teams see how many gms can say that and the look at the home run drafts he achieved ep40, brock, well hughes did fall in his lap but gaudette, demko, and i'm sure i'm missing others an no, ep40 did not fall to him, the consensus on these boards was glass

[Report] Milan Lucic suspended 2 games
coastal.view replied to -Vintage Canuck-'s topic in General Hockey Discussion
sounds fair 2 games a week for the balance of his contract that'll ensure he is properly paid going forward -
boeser's play has most notably increased due to power play production which in no small part is a result of hughes playing so much pp and also adding miller to the top pp unit no slight on brock.. he has fit in well with the increase of talent around him it takes a top tier player to maximize and benefit from the players he plays with and he has shown he is a good finisher playing with ep40 he, with ep40 and miller, give the team a top tier nhl first line
