he will be setting a new aav for #1 starting pitcher will be $35 million range for sure for aav look at price's contract stras is better then him -
up to you that is where the real work is !!! if tanev is re-signed he'd get protected for expansion ahead of stetcher and that assumes stetch is re-signed as well or do we move on from him and go with joulevi instead if marky is re-signed he'd likely have to be protected as well.. or he may as well exercise his free agent rights and move to a team of his choosing rather then default to an expansion team these are not easy decisions and it is why gm jb gets paid bigger bucks then you or i

he's looking for 40 million x 5 years ? -
nah i foresee now that as the season progresses gaudette will be glued to bo on his line they will become a permanent duo with a 3rd player, pearson, virt, rous, leivo, ferland, rotating with them throughout the season that gives the top 2 lines quality centre depth and guadette can develop into an offensive force primarily from the wing position not sure he will ever be a quality 2 way centre

nice chart maybe you should delete from your chart every player who no longer is under contract to the team at the time of expansion then we all can see clearly who will be left exposed

that is a lot of speculation jimmy why don't we wait to hear more about the broken bone in his foot / ankle they can tell more accurately about when that occurred given the state/rate of healing of that fracture if it is newer then it happened in the summer and buff has some splaining to do if it is older it is more likely related to hockey and jets are on the hook there are details here that we are not yet informed about i'm going to wait to see how those details come out -

it's not so serious you are the one upset and responding in that fashion to my post go look in a mirror i'm just explaining to you why i posted my post you could just have accepted that as valid and fair but you cannot
-
don't get butt hurt about this and personalize it i do read posts fairly carefully and it becomes annoying when posters post stuff that has already been addressed/corrected repeatedly so if you choose to post in that manner expect some blow back

there will not be extra money like you hope and suggest hughes is up for a new contract at same time ep40 is all our cap space will be used up signing those 2 and filling out the roster with non elite players edit: and i mean quality non elite players this team should not adopt the laff model of signing too many elite and forcing the rest of the roster to end up being closer to fringe nhl players
-
really? this has been posted repeatedly before your post and yet you posted your post explain?

exactly 17 million currently projected as cap space for next year 14 players signed 9 more to go to get to 23 build in a modest cap increase of say 2 million and we are at 19 million .. .more then 2 million per needed player tanev, stecher and marky are the only important/expensive re-signings even if they eat up 12 million - which i think is on the high side that will still leave 7 million for the 6 remaining spots.. very doable guadette leivo notte and jake can likely be done for a combined 5.5 million leaves remaining 2 spots as league minimum paid players they numbers can be fine tuned a bit as my projections put the team a couple hundred thousand above the cap the key offseason is not next year anyway it is the following off season and the nucks are well positioned to restructure their roster at that time they can easily retain all key young prospects as they will have a lot of cap available and then rebuild depth around them currently there is 40 million available, plus 2 million or so in cap increase next offseason, and 3 or so the next offseason leaving them with 45 million or perhaps more

san jose looks pretty formidable based on their performance last night against the jets nucks are gonna have to play their top game tonight not having hughes in the lineup really makes the team less dynamic sharks have a very mobile and offensive defence grouping hughes is really the only player who does that for nucks and team gets more hemmed in its own end with hughes absent if the sharks team remains desperate and nucks don't up their game i don't see how the nucks pull off a win tonight but those dynamics need to show up on the ice sharks are older and may show less on the second night of back to backs good to have a younger team
