  1. you are certain that the new developments involving children swelling involving vital organs is not a real thing then? or were you planning to quarantine all the kids too ? or you want to risk their future health ? your position is nonsense we do not know enough about this virus but you want to spitball about it anyway ?
  2. please raise your hand if you really still would want to be a team mate of brendan good luck with trying to develop a tight locker room with him in it that guy is done
  3. bc never closed down the entire economy like other jurisidictions so part of it is already open they will simply start to allow sectors that they actively closed down to slowly reopen some areas in priority to others it will be a slow process in bc as they wish to maintain the remarkable management they have achieved in relation to this virus so far
  4. really? they have done a below average job in managing the virus and are still adding a lot of new infected cases in the past 2 weeks not sure why they would be reopening so soon bc is still applying the brakes and is really the only significant province that has the virus issue under control and properly managed
  5. will it also factor in aggressive too early reopening of so many states ? or does he get a pass on that since it is dependent on governor decisions primarily (we all know trump wants to avoid all responsibility wherever possible}
  6. bad off season to be hitting free agency no money as limited revenues cap may be going down significantly so free agency may not be a meaningful thing anyway maybe they can just ignore it and not schedule it this off season or leave it to 1 week before training camp opens for the next season most ufas will have resigned with their existing teams by then
  7. carry on with your simplistic view points bc / vancouver has the highest gas tax add ons (including transit) it will never be the same price here as elsewhere why continue with that narrative? it is pointless i paid 77.9 for gas here a few days ago it appears to be still going down i like that trend i don't expect same even lower prices here as elsewhere
  8. i agree in principle in practice though, i think i might feel a bit differently should i get the call to come to my local station 2x a week so they can fill my tank and give me $20 for my trouble
  9. both teams are worth 300 million or more according to Forbes why on earth would any owner sell their interrst for 110 million?? that's nuts arizona is also 100% financed their bankers would block any sale florida's debt is 37% of the 310 million franchise value that debt is therefore worth almost $115 million even if both owners were prepared to take a haircut to sell off their franchise they'd easily get 250 milion from someone who wants a team
  10. and there is an underlying sense as well from the people who preach too hard that they believe that there is a need to completely stop the virus spread but that is not possible and was not the plan the idea was and is to flatten the curve so some details of behavioural standards can vary from place to place depending how flat their curve is
  11. i've been paying 87.9 the past 2 weeks or so if that is me being gouged ... i'll take it could fill up my totally empty van gas tank for $50 have not done that in years and now there is no where to go so my gas consumption is way down dammit i want to benefit from these low prices with low gas prices and little to spend money on i'm just stacking the cash money is not very fun or helpful when you cannot use it anywhere
  12. 1. yes 2. no, unless they never get around to naming their team, then they will be granted entry and immediately suspended 3. how big is your shovel?? - canucks are quite profitable though 4. yes, it will be massive 5. likely not, have to first see how good/bad the bounce back from the virus is
  13. hey i have been on here for this past week suggesting it is time to take the next step and was getting it pretty hard from a few on here who have a new comfort zone and just want to stay there (you realize we only have about 200 confirmed infected cases in the community in bc, out side of long term care, mission pen, kelowna nursery, and other clusters, and those folk are at home isolating - you actually would have to search hard now to find someone to infect you) (take the total number, deduct recovered and deceased and you'll see what i mean) i'm game to take a step soon next week would be fine week after would be the latest for my patience i do think it would be best to have a rapid self test available that is currently in production (apparently they have a model that works) so i guess it could take a couple of weeks to get that available in a large enough quantity to work i think school re-opening should be one of the highest priorities but i know what i want to see re-open
  14. not deb sorry there was no presser today so not sure how update was released i could not find it except on a conavirus data update table so i'll provide the new numbers from that 14 new cases (fourteen, as in 10 plus 4, 6 less then 20) ------ damn that is a good number 2 new deaths 28 additional recoveries (please, those who have a need to continue to berate dr. henry and the bc authorities.. here is your chance.. go get em)
  15. stop trying to deflect with hopes of yeast you are being raked over the coals presently please accept your punishment
  16. please help them all organize a parade jimmy
  17. what reality are you in ?? what is the new cap you are not even sure you claim to have ideas yet you are certain of aav values moving forward? interesting
  18. so petey will be signing an 8 year contract at $5 million per ? sounds good to me
  19. i agree you have identified a key current problem with nhl contracts i disagree that this could or might change without a full renegotiation of the collective agreement this is a very complex issue that touches on too many other issues (inclusion/share of expansion fees into the revenue calculator?) it does not really lend itself to a temporary fix type model the nhl and nhlpa need to come up with a temporary fix to deal with revenue shortfalls due to this virus they are unlikely to create entirely new tools to achieve this (tools which deviate from the current arrangement) they most likely will rely on tools available in the current collective agreement the solution will be a band aid your approach will require a full revamp
  20. cough into your arm maintain distance you don't understand the recommendations?
  21. right are you reading his posts he is not saying that it is not a "predator" the seeks "prey" this language switches the focus i think that is unhelpful perhaps risky?
  22. cough into your arm maintain distance you don't understand the recommendations?
  23. how does it move on ? you are daft? we move it on it does not move on
  24. the language is empowering a mindless entity why do that ? it is a completely inaccurate portrayal it is a risk it is dangerous because it harms us that is true it blossoms and spreads by our own action and activity it does not possess any means of self transportation or mobility we move it by our ignorance, stupidity, carelessness so maybe focus on us and don't empower it
  25. right the use of the word "prey" should just be ignored ok then
