well what likely happened is tampa had to do a salary dump and jt was not a player they were looking to dump they had other players more suitable for that outcome but jb didn't want the lesser players and maybe tampa had to do a real trade rather then just a dump so took back a 1st rounder for this quality asset kept the players that were more dump material as maybe they realized there was little real interest in those players they really needed cap space to sign point

[GDT] Canucks vs Capitals Diwali Night Edition Oct 25 7pm SN1

am just trying to be a realist not a debby downer type nyr are not really a top tier team 1/2 the league are the better teams yet you can point to only 2 the nucks have played so far let's see how they do playing 4 in 6 nights where 3 of the teams are in a playoff spot if they perform in that scenario my confidence is increased last season this team started out pretty well also a much tougher schedule though i'd like them to be able to play to a 100 point pace but that will require them to beat a fair percentage of better teams they have played too few of those so far so i'm really hoping they elevate the realistic expectations of fans by beating tougher opponents -

how about we discuss their season point total after the nucks have played a more realistic schedule that includes more of the better teams and back to back games, rather then this very team friendly 2 to 3 days off between games i think we'll know a bit more about this team around the 30 game mark they are definitely a better team then last season and likely going to remain a playoff bubble type team but 109 points is a little crazy as a goal for this team will be very happy to be wrong about this -
so he is going to get a 3 x 2.5 million contract extension ??

this is just getting sillier on your part markstrom is not under contract to the team for next season i doubt he'd sign any contract that would allow him to be traded in the first season of such a contract or he'd just run out his existing contract and sign as an ufa with a team he preferred to play with long term

coastal.view replied to Nuxfanabroad's topic in General Hockey Discussion
they simply need to trade one of their top 3 players to acquire depth tavares cannot be moved so either matthews or marner have to be marner is badly overpaid and that may affect his return somewhat matthews is overpaid but has the generational tag attached to him which makes it more likely they'd get a more generous return on him despite his contract i see no other way predictions are that the cap will remain flat for at least next season as well so i see matthews as having to be moved and the team likely to pay the most is arizona but they are close to having cap issues themselves but they'd be so motivated to get a home town phenom player it would be a deal of them getting matthews for a multiple player return -

i dunno what if he want 8 million x 6 years ? -
lot of words for a player new to the team and still adjusting and yeah he was sick too so there is that know who is being paid more and has only 1 more point then ferland?? bo he needs to get his production going a lot more then ferland ferland will get there bo is in a production funk and he is a key player, ferland is not

We could ice a way better lineup than the one we run now
coastal.view replied to deus.ex.makina's topic in Canucks Talk
he does not really though gm jb provides the players for the roster i'm sure green has imput but player acquisition and roster spots are part of the gm's job green can do as he thinks best with the roster he is given -
Where does Tryamkin fit if he returns this season?
coastal.view replied to cuporbust's topic in Canucks Talk
so his path back to the nhl is how exactly ? getting team to trade him? getting team to sign him to a 3 x 5 million contract when he walked away from them previously this is not a can't miss player with a stellar prior record if he really wants to stay in the khl he should make that clear and not waste everyone's time -
Where does Tryamkin fit if he returns this season?
coastal.view replied to cuporbust's topic in Canucks Talk
if he wants back this season i think a 4 week stint on a pto with utica would be a good transition so we can see how fit he is and if he has progressed those are both unknown quantities about him if that goes well at least team will have a better idea of his value where he might fit on the main club so a contract can be offered -
he is 34? isn't it a breach of his contract for him to age? i mean doesn't he have almost 3 years to go on his contract ? wtf? oh, and happy b-day beagle
-
no starting 6 is good then fatenberg sautner joulevi other depth with comets tryamkin focus if anything is to find that elusive left winger to play with bo but i'm going to give the team 40 games to show whether ferlund, leivo, gaudette, baer, or someone else within the organization can fill that role otherwise that is the priority for this team there is no need to block path of up and coming dmen

just wait until bo starts producing as well and ep40 is still waiting to find his stride there is more upside to this team still but very solid game tonight -
no i think your are incorrect when you make a mistake like this i think you are required to sit out the next game a sanction for failing to pay proper attention to the schedule
