Thats why i said fwiw, he must have really impressed Button tho because i can't remember him saying anything about Hutton ever. Pierre McGuire maybe tuned him in about Hutton as he is a big fan.

Lol i can't believe how many time he was packaged up in the trades forum before anybody had a look at him. This kid is turning heads and i bet management are drooling at his potential, i sure am.

Hutton is going to be one of our top 4 guys and it will happen sooner than later. Why go out and overpay with prospects and take on big cap when this team might not make the playoffs.

Hutton just seems to get better not by just game to game but by shift to shift. Gillis has made 2 beauty late round d-picks in Subban and Hutton, Hutton might be the real diamond he is incredibly smart for being a raw kid.

There is always an outlier in every draft like a Benn, Weber, Dats. Hindsight is always an easy way out.

I watched a documentary that i haven't seen in years, the remastered version of Ken Burns Civil War on PBS last week. Simply riveting is all i can say.

Saying that Drafting Virt weather he becomes a 1ST liner or a friggin 4th liner because it was the right decision or only decision is blatent homerism. Could you just imagine the crap storm on here if all he amounted to was a 4th/3rd round grinder as the 6th overall pick.

I just can't see Virtanen on the ist line he is just to raw yet. Desjardins will shelter him on the 4th maybe 3rd line or press box if he even gets his 9 game tryout.

I don't want a bigger faster Raymond or an advanced Hansen where Jake was drafted. I want him to score with that deadly shot in the slot like he did in his draft year. Since then i have rarely see that shot or that world class backhand in close around the net. Hopefully he can put some scoring together along with his hitting.

NHL a cakewalk? should temper expectations a bit. NHL defenses and structures are quite a bit faster and meaner than the AHL.

The last thing you want is Virtanen becoming a Marchand type player, starting crap and letting someone else clean up the mess you started.
