  1. I was at the Rangers game earlier in the season, Podz was all over the ice. He came back defensively and finished a heavy check on the half boards to the right of TD, BOOM . His speed helped his timing, it was awesome, he made the boards rattle.
  2. From my living room sofa he had soft Lumme written all over him. I choked on my soy mocha latte.
  3. I'd like to thank the Academy.. Canucks 5-4 Miller
  4. Podz is our best player on home ice. I have no clue why we suck at home. I think they should make Podz an honorable captain for home games.
  5. Having a defenseman on the 4th line was great. I could relax a bit knowing we had back up just in case. 5 D, then our top guys would get over used.
  6. Kudos to the Coaching Getting the most out of the bottom 6.
  7. I think Podz is the most comfortable on home ice. He just flourishes. Not hesitant like some.
  8. Wonder what Huggy wold be worth to NJ? (just for speculations sake)
  9. When we scored on that 2 on 0 it reminded me of when Green coached the team. Our bad changes and giving up so many odd man rushes. Burroughs on that breakaway, he used to play forward and looked pretty shifty. Dermot looking good, not flashy but effective. That body slide to block a pass was nice. Lockwood looking good, loved his hit on Ritchie very effective physical play. Great call on the goal challenge. OEL looking great manning the PP. I'm a believer that we can showcase him for a trade. Trade him for a physical 4-6M RHD. If the opportunity is there to talk to Diamond we should get them to terminate his last year and bring him over. While we have his rights. ps. Maybe we should break out some GO CAPITALS GO CHANTS and trick the team that it's a road game.
  10. Pearson is playing some of his best hockey right now. He looked focused tonight.
  11. That's what we've been missing! Time to showcase OEL!! Huggy has more more and more records ahead of him. Saw Garland whispering to Podz, wouldn't that be the best style for Podz to follow. Adding snarl to his developing skill. Please Halak show up tomorrow. Hogz and Boes out, maybe we need more yeoman in our mix? Lunch bucket crew meet fondue dippers.
  12. Truth is, if it hadn't been for hanging on to Green too long, we'd be in the playoffs now for sure. Pretty much a guaranteed spot anyways. I look forward to a fresh start for both the players and Coach B. Teams would have been scared to face a hot Boudreau team this post season.
  13. The better he plays the less we have to retain. Retaining 2 or 3M for the rest of the contract is better, a lot better than buying him out. He's a PP1 type D, I think he'd love to go do that somewhere to be top dog than to be second fiddle to Huggy.
  14. I think it's time to showcase OEL. Let him PP1. And show he can put up points. The better he plays the better chance he can go be a PP1 with a contending team.
  15. I was thinking Lockwood too. Why Dickinson automatically gets prime time over Lock. I was also thinking if our first periods are bad again next year, maybe we try icing the puck alot and slow it down. Goalies can freeze it too.
  16. Yes there were periods of non intensity today. Part of the game felt like Monday morning. Going through the motions. Maybe Motte isn't a world beater scoring wise but he's a motor that does not quit. I'm not saying some of our guys quit but you can feel the hope ekeing out of them. Chemistry has a lot to do with team play. Motters balls to the wall no quir attitude will do him well in the playoffs. We can see what we've been missing the last few games. Podz had great intensity today maybe he can pick up the slack.
