  1. Yes I had mine out from rugby. But there were times I knew I had to be careful. In softball I had to be careful for it not to pop out. Maybe he's just protecting his shoulder.
  2. I don't think he ever fully recovered from his shoulder injury. He was touted as a good hitter but that's gone now. [“He brings meanness and ruggedness and we’re trying to change the culture and he’s a piece of the puzzle,” the Vancouver Canucks general manager said Friday after selecting the Abbotsford native sixth overall in the NHL draft. Virtanen had a sublexed shoulder during the season and suffered the same ailment at the end of the regular season and in the playoffs. "Once a shoulder is dislocated, the joint can become unstable and prone to future dislocations or subluxations." He had surgery a month ago and told The Province that doctors said the progression of flexibility and strength will only get better over time. Virtanen impressed at the draft combine and in follow-up interviews with the Canucks and whispers they were leaning that way only got louder as this week progressed.] I don't think it's gotten better over time.
  3. He just serves up pizzas. I'm sure teams have seen it on film and are coached to wait and capitalize on them.
  4. Good to see the steel toes. Can't get on site without 'em. Lots of scraps in the Tampa Fla game. Teams are getting into rivalries.
  5. I like what Benning's been doing to build this team into a contender. We got a glimpse of it last playoffs. Looking ahead, losing Tanev and Marky was the way to go. Calgary fans are just as passionate as here and when things go south for our ex players we'll be watching. It may get pretty ugly. (Tan's injuries, or that one soft goal every game) Those savings are going to look much better on a great UFA from the next two seasons, 2021-2022 and 2022-2023 have great UFAs coming up. We have Tryamkin's rights next year and he wants in, my guess is bridge pay @ 2M. Add another Calder contender ELC in Podz, and then add someone like Lind, Jasek or Lockwood for a bottom 6 role. Not to mention Mac, Bailey or Graovac solidifying a 3rd or 4th line role. We're going to be shedding some big contracts and adding a couple ELCs. Cap wise we'll be sitting pretty and I think we will still be pretty competitive. This 2020-2021 is only the third season without the Sedin's so Benning came in handcuffed to their legacy, and their big 4 year contracts at 54 Million. I think the rebuild should have started then, when Kesler was traded. I mean if Gretz can get traded then I think the twins deserved to go to a contender. Then what the heck were we doing signing LE21 at 36 Million for some last hurrah for the twins? Then losing 2nd round picks like what Baers cost. I never ever did like the OJ pick. But as it turns out this could be his year. I think OJ has something to prove. And like they say better late than never. If he keeps playing like this it will take pressure of the other 5 D. Good luck to the kid. As far as the Benning hate I'm wondering if some people just never got over losing Gillis. And if it was AQ that wanted the twins to retire here then so be it, but it slowed down the rebuild, or retool of the team. Those last couple of seasons were hard to watch because they couldn't bring that Sedinery of old. But it is what it is. I liked the last game's teamwork and hoping that carries through the rest of the season.
  6. He's a smart hitter too. Picked his spot, i hope he brings it again next game like that. Those numbers remind me of Gaunce and Biega's mumbers. Reliable hitters.
  7. I never thought a player like OJ would be our best hitter. I hope he gets one of those every game.
  8. Woo can help change the energy of this team with OJ hitting. Tryamkin hitting. We need to make room for Woo. That truculence though, maybe he can be our 11/7 - 4th liner. Plus if a defenseman gets hurt during a game he'd slide right back and we'd never get caught short handed.
  9. Jake is pulling a disappearing act like Kenin's. Kenin's disappeared right out of the league. Jake and his fly bys. My 5 year old daughter used to play soccer and would wave at me as she ran by. Reminds me of Jake's intensity.
  10. Feb 11th deadline has passed. But his season will most likely end mid March, I don't see Auto getting out of the first round. Maybe he plays for us in time for the end of our season and playoffs? If we make it that is. If we're out of the playoff race then we can wait to add him for training camp and save a ED spot. Plus if were out of the playoff race we can rotate our young D, and see who wants it more. Generate competition.
  11. That OJ hit!!! Man with OJ (should bulk up a bit more) and Tryamkin delivering clean hits we can gain momentum when we need to, Tachuk ain't no small boy he nailed. Clean hit!! WTh was Green thinking playing Chat ahead of OJ. I hope they don't coach that out of OJ. Jake used to hit like that till his shoulder, and pulled a disappearing act like Kenins.
  12. Slew foot wasn't called. How can they miss that? Seems they see everything out there with two refs.
  13. That's the way we remembered them playing in the playoffs! It was great to see that again. Tanev and Marky are great but its a TEAM game front to back. That was team defense. We can't afford to be one or two individuals out there. They're awake!
  14. No way our cap could luve with Tanev's and Markys contracts over the long term. It'll be interesting to see how they fare in a couple years. And especially in the playoffs.
  15. EXACTLY! I wanted him to stay in after his first goal. Green broke up his goal scoring streak! But D wise I remember seeing bodies bouncing off OJ. He has some heft to his frame. He showed it tonight! Quiet game. Not panic style. Me like.
