  1. Awesome hit. Bulk up the shoulders to maintain that hitting over a lot of years.
  2. Last two game we stunk. Keystone cops playbook. We were unfocused (no hitting) and sloppy play- esp passes. Coach has to get them out of the fog. Free expresso shots on the bench maybe?
  3. He took a huge home discount with his hometown team I think he knows the tight cap problems here. I watched today's Avto game. Then the sports news came on with NHL scores and highlights. Boston NJ highlights. They all know what's up here.
  4. We should staple Motte to McD ass next time. Motte would drive him nuts and start a fight too probably.
  5. I watched his game today. He had one blue line to blue line rush that was very fast. IMHO that speed will help our D it was north to south and very determined. With the last two games in mind, I watched Try's game, I noticed he has a good habit of always bringing himself between the player and the net. One fast skating forward was trying to go around him he closed on him then pushed him toward the end board. It was speed, strength and reach he used. He's maturing too, Edler like, he was racing to the corner to get the puck, he turned his back on the puck (knowing where the puck would land) slid backwards and shoved the oncoming forward thus gaining a gap. He stopped the forward pretty much in his tracks Try made time and space to clear the puck. I think we'll be pleasantly surprised with this 3rd rounder when he gets back.
  6. Definitely. I've watched a frw of his games this season and his top end speed through the neutral zone is very good. But his quickness to get to the puck carrier is very good and rarely gets caught out of position and closes off forwards well, getting them to the boards or out of the crease. Its a combo of speed and size. Alternatively he uses his poke check with great efficiency too. On one shift I saw him use 3 poke checks to disrupt opposing forwards.
  7. Yes and he can be an upgrade on Benn for sure, and lets go from there. Additionally, playoffs are a whole other ball of wax physically. Tryamkin will be our best hitter.
  8. IMHO a 26 year old Tryamkin is faster and a better skater than some D play I saw last night. What I like about Tryamkin's game is his closing speed to the puck carrier and rarely gets pyloned. Call it rust if you want. Nevertheless, lets let it play out for a few games eh? I'm loving that we added physicality to our D and it did help us clear the zone better ie winning more board battles.
  9. Tryamkn would seal up our bottom pairing for sure. But our new D is closer to wear we need to be in terms of added some added physicality. However Try would add speed and defensive coverage. And A solid pk addition.
  10. The fact that we added more grit to our D helps. And it adds to the Canucks waiting to sign him till next year. But Tryamkin>Benn, and more suitable for our playoff run. So if we can get him for the playoffs JB should. But avoiding the ED also works.
  11. We needed more grit with negligible drop off in skill on our back end.
  12. Any word on the Dec 1st equivalent? Dec 1st was two months in...we start Jan 12th, so...mid March ?
  13. If Podz is said to be signing in April hopefully Try might too.
  14. Me and my brother had couple good scraps growing up.
