This is one thing I don't get about Coach Green. It's kind of a no brainer to add his speed to the pk and would save wear and tear on our star forwards like Bo. -

I think Jake needs to train on the PK. -
Watched his game today 2-1 OT win over CSKA. In one shift he had 3 poke checks to force turnovers, one poke check got the puck out of the crease. Later he even intercepted a cross ice pass with that long staff. He had two good offensive carries, one towards the crease and a shot and rebound on net, very simple but effective to gain the zone. Another carry he took to the high slot and waited to let the play develop, and shot on net. Not sure if Coach Peters is getting him more involved (Avto needs goals) or whether its maturity. But compared to a couple of blind dump ins I think his carries are more effective for puck possession. I think his carries are helped a lot by his skating and speed through the neutral zone, making opponents back off. He played 3 on 3 OT which was pretty exciting, he broke up a 2 on 1 and helped regain the puck.

Does he have to be protected in the ED -
His style would be ok for the larger ice surface but the Czech's out hit and wore the Russians down, then capitalized on their chances Czech's with the lunch bucket approach they patiently waited for their chances and scored on them

he needs more social distancing

Wow OJ is exposed? That sucks. We barely even saw him play. He's still relatively an unknown prospect. Hate to lose him before we see what he's capable of at the NHL level.
-
They have only won one game out of their last 11 games. Number one goalie looks done, coming off an injury last year. Back up goalies are weak. There's a break after Feb 5th in which he'll have a few days till the Feb 11th cut off, to decide if he'll buy himself out. The team returns to play on Feb 16 - 27. Too bad his 13 games in 2015-2016 count as a season for the expansion draft.

I watched him in one game he had a great scoring chance which ended up being an assist. All by going to the net. Taking the biscuit to the crease. -

I think the biggest hurdle would be security. Somebody needs to frisk the boys. -

Make each team have a single designated plane allocated to be in each teams bubble. Add a single bus to transport to and from the airport. They would have to clear logistics with YVR. Cleaning and safety protocols could be mandatory for each city. As far as I know there are less people travelling and more planes available? This would bypass the red tape at the airports. This could make each team no contact with the public en route. Also they could play two games instead of one each visit to reduce travel. -
Haha he made a great poke check today on the PK, and Avto broke a 10 game losing streak in a 4-0 win over MMG.
-
That would be Coach Peters and a 42 year old captain Datsyuk Team can't buy a goal
-
Try's Avto's team on a 9 game losing streak. Update: 10 game losing streak. Lost 7-2 to SKA yesterday. Tryamkin needs to get out of that tire fire.

War and Peace looks like I think he needs a desk back there

Well they are 4th in their division now. I imagine they will limp into the playoffs. But have too many question marks up front and in net. Goalie Kovar is not stealing any games for them lately. The pp is abysmal. I think they'll get a tough match up against a top team. They seem to be out worked by every team lately. A couple of their forwards looked like they quit playing after Ak Bar scored to make it 1-0. Coach Peters looks a bit lost too. He spends more time writing in his little note book than watching the game.
-
Avto lost again today lost 2-0 continuuing a 8 game losing streak. However Tryamkin looked good in taking the puck to the net in the 3rd trying to get dome offense. But Avto looks worn out by all the losing. Maybe getting released early might appeal to Tryamkin more and more.

I'm sure there's more to this than meets the eye, Canucks wouldn't do a knee jerk punitive move like that. I'm sure he had a fair warning and made his choice. Management knows the team is in a 'fish bowl' market, Fan's analyzing every move. MD got some bad advice and lost a sweet gig. I like how they mix it up with singers anyways. I'd like to see a group of health care workers sing.
